I take my packages to the 24/7 on sunday . Or to Raley's that way its gone for monday.

PIO I will post those pics over here as well. I may assume to much, but Angela and Brett may have been there.

The pictures are of the Gold Bug Mine up in Placerville. It is a real mine. That was the first time Chris had been there.

Haven't been to that one.

Went for a ride to deliver some veggies to a friend so it was nice to get out of the house for a while.

Good morning!

Thanks Jo. Placerville? Dang! Wish I'd known about it before I went there.

This is the entrance to the mine. It goes about a 1/4 mile. It is cold and damp and wet in there. This is the first time Chris has ever been to it.. Some pics are blurry as you had to wear a hard hat.

This is the stamp mill, the miners would have to lug the gold up a hill to the stamp mill for it to be crushed. I should of taken a pic of the hill. I will show a miniature version of the machine.

Fantastic pics Jo.

Alison - I was having problems accessing the Dis. Just got back in. We'll see if there is a timewarp.

Nice pics Jo. I've taken our kids to the Kennedy Mine near Jackson.

Sorry, wrong words! I meant twilight zone.

So today on FB I noticed that Matt "liked" Grand Tetons so he must've had a good time....

Update posted a few minutes ago...

Yup. Twilight zone started around school drop off time for me.

Wonder when Matt is coming back?

And a comment to your update was posted a couple of minutes ago....:goodvibes

Oh and the mine like neat, Jo. Do you think it is something Fran could go inside or too dangerous?

Glad Matt had a good time. Yes Fran could get in there. The tour is 5 dollars per person, The tour may take of no more than 10 -15 minutes, There is a ramp for her to drive her ECV up to it. He didn't wear any red did he?

Love the mine photos :)
Reminds me of some of the ironbridge design.

What year is it from??

$5 is very reasonable.
