I got the Orville/Maybelline house party!! .........now I don't know what to do, I evited everyone, now what? Do you have to actually have the party? I mean do they check up on you, what if people can't come? HELP!!!

Longtime lurker here answering, hope you all don't mind.

No, they don't check up on whether you have the party or not. In fact, I did the Hershey Bliss one, but actually sort of forgot to send out my invites. Then it would have been too short notice, so what I did was make up the goodie bags from the stuff they sent and took them all in and passed them out to the girls at work. We just enjoyed it that way. Then the word still gets out, Hershey still gets advertised, just not in my house. And it was a very nice surprise to everybody at work.

I've never gotten a party but I think you DO have to have a get-together and I think they want you to post photos on your page at their site. Maybe some others who have had parties will answer....

I live in an apt. complex and I can see the mailboxes and I've seen that postman taking a really long time looking at some of our mail. If I don't get my razor I know who has it.....now Madd where's that gun. Wait a minute I can use IAHD laser gun..

take that mailman and stay away from my freebies and get your own. Boy, I feel much better now for some reason.

(hint- look for a sack, I bet that is where she keeps them)

I have "hosted" around 8 parties of various types ~ kids movies, breast cancer home & gardens cookbook, hershey bliss, and more and just wanted to say that you do not have to have a "party". I have signed up for any of the parties that my family would be interested in and what I have done in the past is distribute the goodies like someone else mentioned. I have kids over weekly and just planned to watch the movies on one of those occasions and what kid doesn't enjoy tatoos, a new show, eating on color coordinated paper goods, etc. I have even had 2 parties on the same day ~ 1 movie for the kids and an "adult" themed party (I think it was the BC cookbook one). The kids were in 1 room enjoying their new movie & goodies while the moms were in the kitchen hanging out having a good time chatting and such. And I've also done nothing more than bring my party package into work with me. Once you get a response from them you've been picked and you send out the invites you will get another email telling you what & when you will get your party package. They like you to answer little polls and post picks & comments but you are not "expected" to do a ton. You also get a follow up survey after your party.

I think my mail lady is stealing my freebies too! I've signed up for what seems like a million freebies and have only recieved a few. I think the only ones she doesn't steal are the ones that come in a box and she's not sure if I ordered it or not. Why can't she steal the bills???? I want my freebies!!!! Honestly- I would have to mess with her mind and play a little dumb (the "dumb act" works out VERY nicely for me a lot of the time )

I would go out there when she pulls up to your mailbox and ask her if she has seen any of the freebies you have been ordering- of course, she will say "no"-I would then say to her, "wow, that is weird , I guess I will have to call or go to the post office, tell them what is going on, and ask them if they have them there???, and maybe they can help me out"

The mailmen/women must be banding together trying to get back at us for all the extra things they have to carry and deliver. I have not been getting the freebies I've signed up for. I never had this problem at my previous address. My mom signs up also and she gets all of hers and we sign up for the same ones.

I love my mailman- he has been delivering mail in our developement long before I got here!

However, I remember a few years back I had filled out some freebies for baby stuff to give to a friend. The mailman is friends with my BIL- and BIL said to me one day- Tony (the mailman) asked me if you were pregnant b/c you have been getting baby items in the mail

Thank you so much for posting this!! I got into the Orville/Maybelline one too (really hoping for some good free make-up!!) and there's no way friends would let me post pictures of themselves online munching out on popcorn and trying on lipstick.
