The Oldie But Goodie Freebie Thread 9/1-9/7

I doubt it was the carrier. More likely it was a clerk on the flat sorter (machine where they sort magazines and large envelopes).

Back when letters were sorted by the letter sorting machines by a person sitting at a keyboard (keying in zipcodes at more than 50 a minute), postcards of bikini-wearing women would get set to the side of the keyboard for the guys to ogle as they keyed. The postcards would get sorted at the end of the shift, so it shouldn't have delayed their delivery at all.

no it was def him, we live in a very small town. It wasnt like one page was folded or all of one corner. These were pages parked that would definatly highlight my best features

there was no mistaking it was him

Ok guys, WHERE are you getting all those extra animated smilies?? You all seem to find new ones all the time! And does anyone know how I can use them in my regular email? When I insert them, they don't do anything. They are just 'there'. :confused3

To use on the DIS I go to photobucket.com and run a search for whatever topic smiley I am looking for then cut & paste and alot I save to my own folder. To use in emails I have never done that as alot of people don't receive email with smilies and it just puts the text directions for the smiley without the actual picture if you KWIM :confused3

You know that somewhere there has got to be a message board filled with complaints from postal workers who have to deliver all these freebies to those darn Freaps!!!! :upsidedow

This one is kinda' I was cutting out some coupons from a P & G newspaper insert and it gave a web site to sign up for free P & G samples and coupons. I can't get the web site to come up but I did a search and it comes up with a link from the search but it has a frame at the top of the site. If I try to remove the frame, the site disappears!

Give this P & G sample site link a try. :confused3

ETA: Nope, I still can't get it to work. I tried to register and the site just disappears. Arg.

I got the Star Wars Clone House Party!! WoooooHooooo  :dance3: :dance3:
My very First Houseparty!! (I truly am wishing to see the Canon House party in my e-mail tomorrow too) :wizard: Maybe some pixie power to give me a boost!
Okay so I followed the directions to setting up the houseparty but I just got it! I am not sure I can do the date I put?? Oops! & I need to see who can actually come so I can add them to the party guest list- right?
I just put people and am goin to be doin' some " 'splainin' Lucy" when my friends are all looking at me like I am daft! LOL Soon as I get to work I guess I will let them know I needed an e-mail addy, "sorry, I don't really want you to come... " :lmao: - Really this should be for kids right? Cartoon Network? I figured I could let my little boys have a sleep over and invite their friends and then have other Star Wars movies and do a full on Marathon w/ goodies! Good? Or am I getting to detailed?

Oooh, Ooooh1 I also forgot to mention, I received my Free Bookmarks today from carolina pad and paper- They are really nice repositionable bookmarks- 3 of them in a pack and very cute! Anyone else?

It was listed under Cartoon Network apparently- When I signed up I don't recall it saying anything about Star Wars but the e-mail was sent saying that Star Wars The Clone Wars will be airing on Cartoon Network... Check again- maybe ya missed it in your inbox-

my mailman will be on there. He says things to me all the time about all the stuff he has to carry up my driveway. (mind you he drives to the end of it)

Since signing up for this I have received numerous unsolicited e-mails. Watch out!

My husband got no less than 8 telemarketing calls on his cell phone yesterday, and I bet you it was because of this. BAD!

I never use my real phone number. I use my area code and then 555-1212. I haven't had any problems yet! Then I don't get all those calls. There are other number--real ones--like The Rejection Hotline Sadly, my kids told me about that one! :rotfl:

Maybe we need to make our mail people a gift basket full of freebies for Christmas! Then they might not mind having to deliver them as much.

Oh and my husband really cracked up when he saw the free roll of tp!! I might never live that down! :rotfl:

I usually use a random number but slipped up this once, that's why I remember it, and it was for dog biscuits that I signed him up for because he's the pet person in our house. I felt so bad for him!
