Hi! I know a lot of us on here apply for OHP. Has anyone heard about the Open House "Canon Scrapbooking" Party? I keep thinking we were do to be notified on September 4th. I have my fingers (and eyes and toes and legs and... ) crossed for this one!

I too signed up for the Cannon House party, do you know how many they assign? I hope to get chosen, this is the first one I signed up for. Love the freebies, got my pantene this week, keep them comming!

Honestly- I would have to mess with her mind and play a little dumb (the "dumb act" works out VERY nicely for me a lot of the time )

I would go out there when she pulls up to your mailbox and ask her if she has seen any of the freebies you have been ordering- of course, she will say "no"-I would then say to her, "wow, that is weird , I guess I will have to call or go to the post office, tell them what is going on, and ask them if they have them there???, and maybe they can help me out"

She now knows that YOU know- I do not like anyone to think they pulled one over on me. I have to put that little jab in every once in a while. Keeps them on their toes.

As a former postal employee, I dislike the insinuation that is being made that postal employees are thieves! That is a felony offense, and I really doubt that the carriers or any other employees are stealing your freebies.

If you really think so, contact the Postal Inspectors, but you need to be sure before you make accusations that you can't prove.

We all had the postal employee and freebie discussion last year and there were ways people could tell that "someone" had taken their items. I don't think people make accusations lightly. In as much as postal carriers are human, just like the rest of us, it is not beyond the realm of possibility. Let's not let the 'possible' become a heated discussion.

I doubt it was the carrier. More likely it was a clerk on the flat sorter (machine where they sort magazines and large envelopes).

Back when letters were sorted by the letter sorting machines by a person sitting at a keyboard (keying in zipcodes at more than 50 a minute), postcards of bikini-wearing women would get set to the side of the keyboard for the guys to ogle as they keyed. The postcards would get sorted at the end of the shift, so it shouldn't have delayed their delivery at all.
