OK, I'm really getting mad at this photography studio. I get there when they open this morning and there's a sign on the door "Appointment only" which wasn't there when we went to take the pics. I've gotta call them and schedule a time.

Also found out my local grocery store that I've been going to for 18 years is CLOSING! I feel like I've lost a family member.

It is a balmy 35 degrees here this morning but should get up into the high 60's by afternoon....they say later this week it should hit the 80's during the day.....Maine gotta love it!

Don't know about dinner yet; salad for sure but that's all I've come up with. I really need to start making menus ahead of schedule

I think it's in my blood. My dad was born and raised in Minnesota and I just LOVE cold weather!!

I did call on my cell phone and got a recording pretty much saying the same thing - appointment only.

That's also why my dad stayed here, but I guess since I've never lived in a cold weather region and had to deal with it, I really enjoy the cold spells we get.

Morning ya'll! What a weekend- ya'll were busy on here! I sent my DH to Lauren's neck of the woods for this week. Lauren how far are you from Princeton, NJ? If you're close enough can you drop off any extra pork chops at the Holiday Inn there?

Oh Wow! He is about 20 - 30 minutes from me!!! I would love to bring him food or have him over...my guys are grumpy and sick though. I can take a road trip too...but, there are some really nice restaurants in Princeton. Hey, if he ever goes back, you should tag along...

OK, got a call from the photography studio. Turns out they are closed on Monday & Friday and now they say I DO NOT need an appt to pick up pics but I had to get their schedule for the next three days so that when I go I'll know that they're open.

awww..i feel that way too, the local fish market is closing! the one i rave about..the owner defaulted on a 9 mill. dollar loan!!! HOLY MACKEREL..hahah just couldn't NOT do it..sorry for the corni-ness!

Dinner last night was homemade meatloaf broccoli and crispers..
tonight i have class so greg will be cookin' away while i am gone..stir fry..YUM!

I have just enough time to post the recipe before we leave for football etc etc....warning I am not one to have my measurments in recipes exact.

Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole

4 boneless chicken breasts cut into bite size pieces
1lb of ham in bite size pieces...( I find this in a package all cut up near the ham steaks in the grocery store but I have bought a 1lb block at the deli and cut it myself before as well)
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 can of chedder cheese soup
enough milk to fill each can 3/4 of the way
half a bag of egg noodles cooked
slices of swiss cheese to cover (I use swiss and provolone)
salt pepper and poultry season whatever you feel like shaking in
1 stick of melted butter and half a bag of stuffing mix mixed

put chicken and ham in a pam sprayed dish, mix soups, seasoning, and milk together and pour over meat, mix in cooked egg noodles, and place slices of cheese on the top, and cover with the stuffing mix
cover with foil and cook at 375 for an hour or until chicken is cooked, then uncover for 10 min to crisp up the stuffing.

Thank you for the kind words re: Riley and my other boys!!! Riley slept through the night, so I was VERY happy. Tom and Andrew are feeling a little better. I think they gave their colds to my baby cat Niki...her eyes look funny. The vet said cats get catch human colds...

Well the pork is in the oven and the salad has been spun (God, I love my salad spinner ) and the time cannot go fast enough...I am starving and it smells sooooooo good...I used wine instead of beer.
