Thanks to everyone for the good wishes! :goodvibes

I've never seen Brokeback Mountain - but I want to. Dh and I are REALLY behind the times as far as movies go. :confused3 I've never seen Elf either but there was a thread about it yesterday and everyone was raving about how funny it is. It comes on USA channel tonight and I gotta see it! :) I have to tape it cause it is the Nip Tuck season finale tonight, too! :thumbsup2

Any hoo, back to the topic. Tomorrow night for dinner - somewhere in Disney World!! ;)

Speaking of Digourno (have no idea how's spelled), my hubby and I had the new garlic bread pizza this weekend. Oh...my...word!!! It was SOOOOO good!! I bought some pizza sauce to dip the crusts in, too. This is going to be my new PMS food! :rotfl2:

Aw, man! You had to go and mention PMS food! Now, I'm going to crave this pizza! Good thing I'm going to the store later! :teeth:

I thought it was a really good movie...DFi was squirming the entire time watching it...you'll see...but like I said it was a great story...

Dinner will be left over pot roast...this is a truly great recipe...Thanks Glynis for sharing!

Have a great day all!

Lucas, Have fun!

You are more than welcome! I love it, too! DH has requested it for our Christmas Eve meal. We'll be doing it with an elk roast, so we'll see how that tastes.

Well, I finally decided on dinner! Tonight will be the Asian beef noodles that stacy347 posted on page 11. They sound yummy, and my kids love that kind of thing!

Since it's kind of got all the food groups represented, I'm not sure what else I'll serve with it. Any suggestions?

Lucky you, do you have ADR's for tomorrow night? :teeth:

No ADRs for tomorrow. On our way driving into the World we are going to ICE@Gaylord Palms and having lunch there. We are winging it for dinner as we aren't going into any of the parks tomorrow. We are going to DTD and then riding the monorial around and getting off at GF, Poly and Contemporary. I love seeing all their Christmas decorations especially the life size gingerbread house at GF. Thursday it is EPCOT and the Candlelight Processional (for our dinner package we are eating at the Coral Reef - I've heard mixed reviews so I don't know what to expect) and Friday it is MK during the day and MGM at night to see the Osborne lights.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom. :grouphug:

I am leaving in 11 days...will you still be there?
No we will be there from 12-13 thru 12-16. But, your trip will be here before you know it! :thumbsup2

Almost forgot, tonight I wound up having a turkey, brie and apple wrap from the Fresh Market. It is my favorite! Dh will be home later tonight from his meeting.

Hi ladies! Just stopping in to see what's cooking. Dinners are kinda of hit or miss for us lately, pizza, Costco premade and frozen, and easy toss togethers so I have not been posting...just a little lurking when I can.

My Mom is in home hospice care now and we stay with her 24/7, so if you can spare another prayer or some more good wishes for her. In the meantime, I hope all of you have a a safe and happy holiday season.

Bon soir, everyone! I am back! Paris is so, so awesome. We had a great trip! Catching up on dinners, here is what I had:

Thursday: Dinner on the plane. Air France actully has some decent food, even in coach. The flight was an hour late taking off, so they skipped the champagne (darn!). Salad of couscous, golden raisins, baby shrimps and butter lettuce, chicken in a paprika rub, with green beans and sauteed potatoes and onions, a mini baguette with french butter and camenbert for spreading, and two desserts, neither of which I ate. One was a chocolate pudding, and the other some kind of cake. Complimentary wine with dinner, mas oui!

Since the trip was short, we tried to stay a bit on EST so slept late and stayed up late--which meant that we ate dinner twice each day (and no breakfast):

Friday: Starter: baked goat cheese tart in puff pastry with rosemary and honey sauce. This was great--the goat cheese was very mild.
Main dish of grilled herb-crusted salmon in a lemon beurre blanc and mashed potatoes. For dessert, DH and I split a creme brulee. Yum!

Second dinner: Starter of a mushroom fricassee topped with a poached egg (so good!). Main dish of seared cod in a browned butter sauce with carmelized endive. The endove was a bit bitter, but the fish was great. No dessert.

Saturday: Starter of miniature pasta in a smoked tomato-cream sauce topped with truffles (split with DH, sinfully good). Main if rare seared tuna in a coriander crust with red curry-coconut dipping sauce and flash seared vegetables. No dessert.

Second dinner: a chicken croque monseiur.

Sunday: Baguette with french butter and gruyere cheese. Two euros, and the best meal of the trip!!

Second dinner: Starter of cold poached eggs wrapped in a red pepper gelee (sounds weird, tasted really good). Main dish of grilled head on shrimp (best shrimp I have ever had) with crusty baguette.

Monday: Sampler of runny cheeses brought back from France (hey, I declared them and customs said it was OK), a baguette, and arugula salad.

Tonight: The egg dish posted in the recipe index, more baguette, and asparagus with brown butter.

DH is chomping for dinner, so I have to sign off. Looking forward to reading what you all have been cooking!

You people are killing me! :lmao: I'm having egg whites and broccoli...ughhh :sad2:
Boring but effective! :thumbsup2 Of course the rest of the family is having wonderful smelling Pizza! Don't mind the dancing smilies! :dance3: I have always wanted to use them! :teeth:

Nancy, you and your Mom are in my prayers every day. We're not doing too well either, but let's not worry about that now. :grouphug:

Nancy and Tigerkat--sending lots of prayers and hugs your way! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Cheesy Crockpot Chicken was really good! The chicken was fall apart tender and ahd lots of sauce for over the noodles. It was easy and even DH who normally turns his nose up at chicken liked it! :thumbsup2

Tonight I am making vegetable soup and cornbread. I have to make candy most of the day tomorrow for some friends so I needed to make something today that would make enough for tomorrow. Ahh soup: love it in the wintertime. :)

WFD at your house?
