"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

Best part of seeing a vamp Steve Newlin at Jason's door is Jason's naked backside. Well, most of it. ;)

I'm sorry, I've thought this was an awful season. Alan Ball managed to take a well loved book and make a whole season of shows as boring as all get out. How can a season finale spend the first 50 minutes being so freaking tedious?

Thank heavens for The Vampire Diaries.

The ending was bananas!

I was wondering about the silver chains in the garage - didnt occur to me that it was Russell.

I'm curious about the whole Steve thing. Seems very strange.

Also, before the show started there was a whole clip about the Fall lineup on HBO (new shows, shows coming back etc) and they showed True Blood a few times. So is it coming back in a few weeks??:confused3

I need to take a look at the HBO site and see what's up.

I completely agree. I really only liked the first season. These books have been massacred.

All I've got to say is wow! & I don't want to wait 10 months :sad1:

Me too! I really enjoyed this last episode. I enjoy the series as a completely separate entity from the books. This season was a drag getting started, I feel like the first three episodes were a total waste. Then it picked up and slowed down again....I was really entertained by the finale though. Looking forward to seeing what trouble is stirred up next season with the Authority, Russell, and hopefully some more were action!

My favorite line last night waas from Bill, after messily getting rid of Nan: "We are NOT slobbering puppies!!!"

I'm thinking Steve Newlin as a vampire is his Halloween costume -- it is Halloween after all. And if Jason doesn't invite him in, he's safe.

How is Alcide going to take that Sookie blew his ex-girlfriend's head off, huh?

I enjoyed this season. I totally got rid of the "this isn't following the books!" mindset around season 2. ;)

Loved the episode! I wonder if Lala will save Tara like he did Jesus when the snake bit him. I will miss Jesus, I liked him. Anyone think Pam may have dug up Russell because she is mad at Eric??? She was the only one who knew he was there. The wolf that approached sam, I bet it was the little girl emma! And the preacher back as a vamp!!! Love it!

So thanks to my lovely DirectTV going out due a storm that manifested over my town at exactly 8:50p last night(I think someone was telling me something) I missed most of the episode, just a few snippets, but did get in for the final 10min or so...I will have to watch it on Demand tonight...Rev Newland is back as a vamp...I was like :scared1: Then the Tara part :scared1::scared1::scared1:

The clip actually said coming in 2012, the new season of True Blood. So we have to wait for next June.

I'm assuming Russell will be back next season by Alcide finding the silver in the concrete.

That totally went by me, thanks for filling in the blanks. I was looking at the chains and the broke up concrete at wondering what that was all about.

totally agree about the books being massacred. I know everyone says it is just different take it for what it is, and I do, but I can't help feeling that the spirit of the books is just not there at all.

LOL mine too, and then Eric's line " What a B...."
that was priceless.

Ahhhhh! I don't want to wait 10 months either.

I really like Bill and Eric as a team rather than against each other. :lovestruc

Favorite quote of the night was from Jesus. "Its not like f-ing Pokemon cards that you can trade."

I'm so sad Jesus died. I knew he was going to though because he was a potential replacement for Elliot on Law and Order SVU.

Is Tara gone for good?

Steve Newellen (sp?) is a vampire??

I'm assuming Russell will be back next season by Alcide finding the silver in the concrete.
I think Tara will be staying. I think Bill and Eric will rush in to save her in the first minutes of next season.
I think Ball has totally killed the spirit of the books.

I completely agree. the show is nothing like the books. he did kill the spirit of the books.
I think they should change the show to say "based on" books by charlaine harris.
not saying next season will be book 5 or whatever.
anyway, jmo.

I also have to say, I do not like the Jess/jason thing. especially her bad girl image now. she doesn't want to commit??? what the heck is that all about.
she was such a nice sweet girl and they are turning her into something else.

Hadn't thought about Pam helping Russell get out of the cement, but that makes some sense (but, oooh, is that really going to make Eric mad!)

Personally, I also think Sookie should have given Eric "a whirl" since he's back to his old self, just to check it all out. :thumbsup2

I don't think it was Emma. She isn't hardly old enough yet is she? I think it was that second in command wolf that sam waved a gun at when he was looking for the pack leader a few episodes ago.

She turned into a vampire. She is coming into her own as a vamp, and leaving behind some of her human traits.

Plus, the girl was only 17 when she was turned, from an abusive and smothering human family. She has never really lived, and now she is a vampire. She is discovering who and what she is. She is figuring out she doesn't need to be in a committed relationship at this age.

I really like Jess. Not sure yet about Jess/Jason, but it has possibilities. I do feel bad for poor Hoyt, though- maybe he can hook up with a nice were or shapeshifter (but NOT anyone from Hotshot!).

If you look close, Tara's brains were blown out...not sure just how far Vamp blood can bring a human back. :confused3 They might have to turn her, but they can only do that if she's still alive, which I don't think she is.

The wolf at Sam's can't be Emma...she'd NEVER snarl at Sam!

I LOVE that Steve Newlin's a vamp! Poetic justice! Unless Jason invites him in, I think he's safe...the only twist would be if Steve had been inside as a human....but I'd think he'd still have to be re-invited as a vamp?!?

One of my fave lines was Eric, on the firepyle.... "Excuse me, we're a little crispy up here!"

And I DON'T like the idea of Terry going "bad"....he's awesome! I have a crush on him as well! He's so good to the baby, and to Arlene and her other kids!
