"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

OMG I'll take care of Eric... scoot over Sook. Jess.... don't like her cheating on Hoyt, he's so sweet. I like Jason and Jess, though. Tara, liked her better in the books. Bill, I'm on the precipice. I love the way he loves Jessica and protects her but I need him to be better. He started out so good but keeps losing steps every day. Pam is my favorite, her loyalty is awesome. I have a symbiotic relationship with my LT. I respect loyalty.

RIP Jessica? :confused3

I think Jason will save her & push her back in the house. Remember Bill experienced the sun in season one and they buried him & he survived.

That's because the show had to slowly move us away from liking Bill to Eric. Two seasons ago, I remember commenting how they turned him into such a Beta Male wimp, everyone kept pushing him around. Last season, the made his makeup extra pasty-white so he wouldn't be so attractive anymore. Meanwhile Eric is never pasty-white.

From the way you gals talk, Bill doesn't have as big a role in the later books as he did in Book 1. Eric takes over, and I guess Alcide. But, for the TV show, Stephen Moyer is the second lead. So they've had to make him less likable & attractive so we'd shift to Eric and feel it's okay for Sookie to be with Eric now instead.

I still feel sorry for Bill, that he has to watch Sookie move onto Eric. She's the one who brought him back to life, so to speak. Bill still loves her and can feel her feelings and know she's moved on.

I honestly thought is was a great episode. Loving Jason and Jessica (although I will feel bad for Hoyt).

I have long ago separated the books from the show. It keeps me calmer that way. :lmao:

Thank goodness that Hotshot storyline seems to be over.

When Jason heard about the sun and started running, I was afraid, that for some reason he was running to save Crystal. I'm glad it turned out to be Jessica instead.

It is the Southern Vampire Series by Charlaine Harris...There are a total of 11 book, with #12 coming in May

Did y'all notice a few episodes back when Sookie was reading a book it was by Charlaine Harris?

I think we're just learning more about Bill, not that Bill is changing. Maybe we're just now seeing who he really is.

I like watching Bill and Eric together. Bill is so incredibly jealous of Eric from the very first time we meet him in season 4. Bill is being all sulky when Sookie asks who Eric is. Bill is like, "Oh you noticed HIM. EVERYONE does." Bill lords Sookie over Eric and teases Eric with her, because it is the one and only place that Bill comes out before Eric and "wins." Eric is more socially powerful. He's older. He has more people who love him (like Pam, because Pam has always been Loyal to Eric that Bill has seen, unlike Jessica and Bill screaming and fighting)

After Sookie disappears to fairy world, Bill (with the help of Nan) usurps the queen and takes a position of social power over Eric. But Bill doesn't have Sookie anymore. The tables have turned from where we first met both of the characters and they've almost switched places. And then Bill finds Eric living in Sookie's house and she loves him. Eric has no social power and he bows to Bill as his king, but Bill is still SO incredibly jealous of Eric because again, he wants what Eric has. Out of fury he wants to kill Eric and once again Eric takes the high ground, albeit the moral high ground and asks for Bill to try to make Sookie happy. Which is something I'm not sure Bill really considered consciously. Bill has been meeting his own wants and needs in his relationship with Sookie and by feeding her his blood on the night they met he's insured that she'll stick around until she grows to really love him under the influence of the blood.

I think at the point that Bill released Eric he is beginning to realize that he can't force her to love him anymore, but he can at least not make her any more miserable. It was a big step in Bill's character development to go and warn Sookie and Eric about the witch's spell. I'm interested to see where he's going from here because it seems that his envious nature wouldn't leave him so quickly but he's definitely taking steps away from it.

I'm really interested in what's going on with Bill.

On an unrelated note, did any of you guys notice that when Jessica is opening the door, there was the sound of a gunshot? Who shot whom? Both Jason and the guard had guns.

I missed hearing the gunshot! I bet Jason shoots at the guard!

It was just for a second. The volume on Jessica was down because she was in slow-motion, but after the click of the lock, there is a distinct gunshot, then she throws the doors open and tries to walk outside. I wonder if Jason shot the guard, or if he (still on the ground) shot towards the door in hopes of knocking her back into the house? A gunshot wouldn't fatally wound her.

I would have liked to have a little more "will they or won't they" time elapse with Sookie and Eric. Bill letting him go that quickly was surprising, but I think he sees how Eric isn't "Eric" now -- it'll be a big surprise when he comes back to himself. :thumbsup2

I also would have liked to have seen a little more build up or something between Sookie and Eric, I think there is a little chemistry missing, that could have been so much better if they had a little will they or won't they or something. Hopefully it will change. It's good and all but it could be better. Now the Jessica/Jason thing is full of chemistry even tho I feel bad for Hoyt.

I just watched the Regis clip and I'm not really seeing what everyone is complaining about. I looks like any other interview that they have done of the years. Any extra ASkars time is fine with me!

When I made my original comment it wasn't really regarding the "Tall One"'s interview as much as it was regarding Regis and his interviewing style of lately. His A-game is long gone, sadly.

Yes, Regis announced a retirement date, but he should have left already. He reminds me of the dottering old uncle at family reunions who are clueless as to what's going on and interrupts everybody as though he knows what he's talking about. :headache: :sad2:

I totally agree!! I watched the interview live and I was like..."why does this crazy old coot keep talking over Alex?! Shut up already!"

"Scoot off!!!" What is Debbie crazy?
:confused3:confused3:confused3 she's out of her mind!

Preview for next week!!! The shower scene! ahhhh! :worship:

I read that a critic who has already seen future episodes, said that the shower scene is going to be very very different than the one in the book...which is a given, based on the way the relationship between Sookie & Eric started on the show. It STARTS with the shower scene in the book. Although last nights little montage was pretty much exactly as it was in my head...:rolleyes1 good lord that boy has a nice booty!

I actually don't mind the whole witch storyline. Its way better than MaryAnne in season 2.

I agree! I like it a lot. Especially them having to chain themselves in so as not to be dragged out into the sun....love it.

Bill is growing on me. Still love Eric/Sookie.
I never disliked Bill....but when it comes to Eric.... no competition!

Jason and Jessica would be cute.

I agree but like other's have said - I'd feel horrible for Hoyt.

Tara should just go away.

She is practically non-existent in the books. They should have left it that way. Let Pam kill her and be done with it already.

Curious to see who the lady is that talks to Arlene's baby is.

My boyfriend thinks the baby is a medium, like Lafayette and Marnie so spirits can take over his body. Don't know who the heck she is, but I think that's what going on.

Also, I was really hoping for some Alcide butt in this episode. If we have to put up with how annoying Debbie is, at least show us some naked Alcide!

they really teased us with that on the episode where he helped Sookie find Eric! so not fair!

Agree on both counts! I have to keep them separate or it drives me nuts! and I loved last nights episode...and honestly, last weeks as well. I downloaded "I Wish I Was the Moon" by Neko Case onto my iPod and just listen to it over and over. I felt bad for Tommy at first, in last night's episode when Sam kicked him out, because it's true that shifting into Sam was not his intention...but all of the things he DID do while he WAS Sam...not cool.

Thank goodness that Hotshot storyline seems to be over.

I think Jason is still gonna turn....I think Alcide lied to Sookie to keep her from worrying (and maybe in the hopes that she would get the heck out of the woods!) and I think that the panthers in Hotshot are so inbred that it just takes longer for their victims to change. Jason said it: "after all that, it's kind of disappointing." I think it will happen next full moon when he's not expecting it.

Did y'all notice a few episodes back when Sookie was reading a book it was by Charlaine Harris?

YES!! I thought I was the only crazy person who noticed that!

Did anyone else notice that Jason calls Hoyt "Bubba?" I noticed it last night and suddenly remembered that he calls him that ALL the time....wonder if it's an homage to the character from the book that they blatantly omitted!

I'm gonna vote for that last option....can't wait for next Sunday....seriously!

I didn't hear the gunshot but I would think it was Jason shooting at her to get her to fall back inside. That's the only way he could stop her.

OK I just rewatched the ending...
The gunshot goes off just as Jess reached the door so it couldn't be Jason shooting at her.

I'm sure the gunshot was meant for us to believe the guard shot Jason, but I would beet that Jason actually shot the guard.

Great episode. Lots o'naked Skarsgaard!
