I just started reading Club Dead. From what I am reading is Bubba really Elvis? I know Bubba was introduced in the previous book, but I must have not noticed or did Harris just indicate he is Elvis. If so, I really think that is cool!

OT, I agree with pp, I would "love" to see Eric in pink spandex and I love their banter.

Harris alluded to Bubba being Elvis, but didn't come out and say it when he was introduced. When I first read about Bubba, I thought he sounded like Elvis, but didn't think much else about it because she didn't say specifically until another book.

My SIL and her niece just met Tara and Eggs! She talked with Tara and said she's very nice, tiny and has no accent (LOL). They're filming in my very small hometown this morning and tonight. A lady in food service told them this is for the end of season 2 and that Sookie and Bill will be filming at a local bar tonight. My niece and her cousin are going.

My nephew's co-worker met Sookie this morning.

If anyone else is in the Baton Rouge area they're supposed to be filming in Clinton tomorrow and Saturday, off Sunday and filming in Baton Rouge next week.

My SIL and her niece just met Tara and Eggs! She talked with Tara and said she's very nice, tiny and has no accent (LOL). They're filming in my very small hometown this morning and tonight. A lady in food service told them this is for the end of season 2 and that Sookie and Bill will be filming at a local bar tonight. My niece and her cousin are going.

Caught up with True BLood last night as I'd been in Ireland ... I had hoped they would start Erik and Sookie's blood bond last night, but oh well - guess this will be a very Bill and Sookie focused season again.

Believe me, I am just as shocked as you. I love Tara and Lafayette and they are barely mentioned in the book. Bill in the show is much more of a gentleman (and I like that about him). Makes the good/bad thing between Eric and Bill even better. Also, in the book 1, Sookie is so naive. I like the stronger Sookie of the show better.

I'm hoping to get finished book 2 in about a week (it's hard to read with 3 little ones).

Tara will be featured a lot more as you read on. It's a different Tara, though.

Lafayette was perfect casting! I think he and Pam both steal the show with their few scenes. I loved both in the books too.

I really think the show has (so far) failed to fully capture the essence of the characters, with the exception of Lafayette and Pam. There have been a few real disappointments in casting, IMHO.

I also think you tend to like what you see first best. You already have certain expectations of how things/characters should be. I read the books first and I doubt I will ever like the show as much as the books. I do enjoy it for what it is, though .

I like Bill, Sookie and Jessica last night, it will be a interesting twist with Jessica in Dallas. What I loved was Lafayette's moves last night after he drank from Eric, boy he can sure move! But the question I have is, What was going on at the birthday party?

The books get better as they go on. I have to say that I actually like the books and the show equally though. I really love both. I know some people here disagree, but I'm glad the show is different than the books because I enjoy not knowing what is going to happen.

I enjoyed last night's episode. I am really liking Jessica and it was so cool when Sookie met Barry.

Eric lovers (me included) have you seen the new Lady Gaga video with the actor who plays Eric yet? It could be considered NSFW.

I loved Lafayette when he got his groove back! i hope it stays- he is so entertaining!

I also liked when Jessica was messing with the guy that was going to kidnap Sookie! The way she was making him scream in the lobby! I hope she and Hoyt continue with their relationship. They are cute together.

I also like Arlene and Terry. I want to see them together. Terry seems like a sweet (but not a very confident) guy. He needs some TLC.

I am bored with everything else. Tara and Eggs, Maryann and her vibrating, Andy and his drinking, Sookie telling Bill what to do (I liked her personality better last season), Jason and those freaks, Sam and his "woe is me" attitude.
