"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

I noticed that too, at first I did not recognize him. I figure it is due to the fact he has been in there for a while, beard growth, etc. Plus it is dark in there.

You can still hear it in his voice that he is the same guy.

I need him back to entertain me! He is not very entertaining chained up in a dungeon:guilty:

I finally got to watch last night.

I wasn't sure that was Lafayette at first but as soon as he spoke I knew it was him. I think he was hard to place since he was missing his "flair" :teeth:

I think they're all down there because they've all wronged the vamps. Eric warned them back in season 1 at Merlotte's.

They were turning the wheel so they could go to the bathroom, right? The one guy said bucket and they turned the wheel until he could sit on the bucket.

I LOVED that Eric came out on the attack. While he does have a funny/witty side, he is a vampire and they don't want us to forget it.

I'm ok with most of the changes they've made. It does keep things interesting. The changes I hate are Tara and Jason. This Tara annoys the crap out of me and I prefer Jason in the book. I hope they don't stray too much from the Dallas story.

You're a genius! I think you're right, they have to move it to get to the bucket. I mean, I saw the one guy use it, but I never connected in my head that that's why they were moving.

I watched the episode again last night because I missed the ending which showed what's going to happen next Sunday. While watching it a second time, I guess I did not realize Bill was teaching Jessica how to recycle. I had to laugh, environmental vampires!

The second time around I still did not catch the bucket in the basement, but I had not read this thread prior to watching it a second time. Do you think Lafeyette will be turned? I think he would make an interesting vampire! I have to admit my favorite part of that episode is when Bill and Sukie got together at the end, that was HOT! I would not like to do his laundry, for sure!

I just recently got hooked on this show! I love it. I'm trying to catch up on season one and setting the dvr to record season 2.

Yuck! LaFayette in the basement was too gory! They should have had an extra warning rating for extra gore. :p

Bill looked great in bed. I don't remember him being so buffed.

I don't get the blood in the hair? :confused3 I thought vampires get messy & bloody when they eat someone or have sex with humans. So why should blood in the hair be a problem?

Who thinks Bill just glamours them into forgetting in the end?

It was kind of a boring episode, until the last few minutes. Yes, Bill was boring, but he looks hot so I'll forgive.;)

They probably had to throw that in so we understand why Eric cut his hair so short- which, BTW- I hate and do not want to understand!:guilty:

I think Lafayette is going to stir up the place when he turns, well, hopefully they turn him and just do not kill him!:scared1: They might shock us all next week, but I hope not.

I wonder if the vamps will pay Jason a visit at his retreat since Lafayette spilled the beans about him being part of Eddie's death?- that will be interesting!!!:thumbsup2

I thought they realized they can't because they now need Sookie to go to Dallas with them- amonst other things they need her for in the future with her mind reading abilities.

Oh, BTW, what was Marianne saying when Sookie tried to read her mind? I couldn't catch it. :listen: As much as I hated Michelle Forbes (who plays Marianne,) during her Star Trek days as Ensign Ro Laren, she's great and just as annoying :p on True Blood.

:lmao: I totally agree. Vampires are worried about a little blood in their hair? It doesn't wash out? And he dyes it?

Eric must have long hair. Stupid, stupid reason for the character to have shorter hair.

I believe it was another language - it sounded creepy and demonic.

I liked last night's episode but I could have done without all the camp scenes.

Bill is boring - he is that way in the books too. That's why I've always preferred Eric. :lovestruc

I agree that the actor who plays Lafayette looks so different. I am still not convinced it's the same guy. :rotfl:

Maybe the actor who played Eric started refusing to wear the wig. :confused3

I thought he was very recognizable when he was asking Eric to turn him into a vampire at the end. In Entertainment Weekly, I read a quote from the actor saying that he thought his character would be killed off due to plot of the books but they decided to keep him on because they thought the character was great. The actor was happy to be staying on the series.

:rotfl: Well, I'm still not totally convinced that he's Eric so he needs to work with me here.

His face looks a LOT thinner. Last season he seemed to have more meat on his face.

They could just weave hair extensions on him. I think you only have to do that once every few months. If HBO only films a paltry 12 episodes, it would have lasted through filming season, then he could've had them taken out. In the mean time, he can wash it, style it. They could have put highlighted extensions on him, if it was that important to him.

That's RIGHT!! I forgot that little important tidbit of info!:headache:

Yes, Maryann sounded like she was speaking another language.

And you just wait- once Lafayette gets his "snap" back, add some glitter to the lids- girrrrrrrlllllfrieeeeend- you will know it is the Lafayette we all know and love!:thumbsup2

He does not do "messy" well at all!:snooty:

I'm wondering if Lafayette will be used to be a protector for Sookie (she had one in the books that would stay in the woods outside her house at night), since the character in the book is not being brought into the HBO series (one thing I'm thankful for!)

Bill is very straight-laced and rather prissy and self-involved .. .and that's following the books. ;) I still think I prefer Sookie with Bill, though -- and that's something we won't know until the end of the series (book and HBO, since they could differ!)

Another thing that confuses me: LaFayette mentioned he could become a dancer at the club if they turned him. Eric mentioned that he's got a bullet hole in his leg and he wouldn't be looking so hot or able to dance that way.

LaFayette said something like, "I'll be great if you turn me," like his leg would be all healed. But I thought you stay exactly the way you are/were when you get turned? :confused3 Like, Eddie was still doughy when he was turned. So why wouldn't LaFayette still have an ugly bullet hole in his leg and be limping around instead of dancing?

Well, having seen Bill heal Sookie, I would imagine Lafayette's leg wound would be healed if he were turned (a step in the process even further than Sookie's healing). Vampires heal quickly (Bill's imbedded silver chains and Eric's silver cross to the face the other night), too.
