I was wondering why it did not heal quick ENOUGH! Was it b/c he was "sleeping"? And why didn't Bill's wounds heal when Lorena was cutting him? Was it b/c the blades she was using were SILVER?

I was hoping Eric would pop in when all that was going down with Lafayette. But I think Eric has his hands full elsewhere.

It didn't look like her- Jessica met Hoyt's mother last season, didn't she? I think she would know her if she saw her again. And Arlene would probably know her too and would not have called her "Curlers"

I loved all the fangs and blood in this episode- now THAT'S what vampire shows should be like!

Or beheading (as Eric mentioned to Queen Sophie Anne). There was a double-edged ax on the wall of weapons, and I think that was a tease for us that maybe Franklin isn't dead. I'm hoping not. I think it will take him quite a time to recover, but this can leave an opening for Franklin to pop up again in the future (which I hope happens because he's been a *great* character).

Tara had enough "V" in her she should have been able to take care of the werewolf guard by herself.

Bill's speech about wishing he'd met Lorena before she was turned makes me think maybe he didn't hate her all *that* much ... just what she was and what she'd turned him into.

I'm also hoping "Bill in the sunlight" in the preview doesn't mean he can walk in the light. He needs to stay a vampire.

I think (and hope) Jesus and Lafayette will continue a relationship. It's been nicely written thus far.

I'd like to see the magister get his come-uppance before the King.

I hope Franklin isn't dead. He really grew on me! It looks like he made an appearance on next week's preview, but it went so fast that I'm not sure.

It's funny because I saw the axe hanging there and I actually shouted at the TV "NO!!!! USE THE AXE YOU IDIOT!!!" Franklin is going to be REALLY mad when he wakes up!

Good call! I think it's taking him so long to heal because he hasn't eaten and she is making him bleed too much, too fast. Plus it's now daytime and he isn't sleeping so he's really weak.

That episode was intense!

Last week I called to tell my cable company I was leaving for DirectTV & suddenly my bill was reduced by $40 & HBO got added for free. So I'm catching up on my True Blood addiction.

I think it had something to do with being tied up with silver. Remember in the very first show of the series, when Bill met Sookie and he was being tied up in the woods with silver chains? Also, in the car, when the weres were feeding off of him, he mentioned that he could die if he was drained of blood too quickly.

Yes, I don't think there is real chemistry between the two of them. Something IS off. When Jesus got Lafayette to admit he's a drug dealer, I thought he was going to pull out a badge & gun, proclaim he's an undercover cop with the DEA & arrest Lafayette for dealing.

It never occurred to me that he might be a cop but there really isn't any chemistry. I know that it's SUPPOSED to feel uncomfortable but it just doesn't feel like a good match to me....I don't know how to describe it but something is just not right....

Yes, it's kind of like how I felt about Rene, the first season, and something was off about his accent. Look how that turned out.

The casting of this show is too good, and they can literally cast anyone, so why hire someone that the chemistry isn't there for Lafayette to be over the moon about, but just really scared to get involved with?

No- the scalpel she cut her finger with (and sliced Bill's chest open with- yuck) was all metal. And, when vamps touch silver, it kinda "burns"- like the guard's face that Bill held against the silver doors last week. Looked to me like the torture instruments Lorena used were plain 'ol stainless steel- although they were shined up real pretty..

I agree....they could have worked at it until they found someone perfect so that makes me feel like it's uncomfortable for a reason.... I just don't know what the reason could be yet.....

I felt like we got a peek at the book version of Eric when he slapped his hand over Sookie's mouth and hustled her into the other room. I'm learning to like True Blood Eric more but he doesn't have that mischieviousness and humor that book Eric does, IMO.

And what is up with Lorena just acting normally during the daytime? Aren't they supposed to be like they're dead--if they're awoken, they're still groggy and it's hard for them to move?

Oh, and I agree that Jesus is probably bad news. Lafayette called him "Satan in a Sunday hat" so I think he knows there's something off about him, too.
