"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

Just a FYI- if anyone is a Howard Stern fan, Lizzy Caplan (Amy) will be on his show today.

Not sure what time- I am on the East Coast, but I listen to the West Coast feed (at 9am) so not to miss a minute of the show.

Howard is a big fan of True Blood.

Just letting you all know:flower3:

Sorry for the incorrect info- she was not on!!!:confused3

I hate to be the voice of dissent, but I really like Rene's accent. I love listening to him talk and really look forward to his scenes.

I really enjoy Rene's accent as well. Sadly, he is one of my favorite characters.:sad2:

BTW, the opening credits in this show are by far the best I have ever seen. I love the song ( have for a couple of years ), and the video portion is really cool.

I don't get the opening credits at all. The scenes seem so surreal.

Sorry to be OT- Chipmunk I saw the previews for the Twilight movie a few nights ago.

DH said- "Oh no- more vampires?" :lmao: I said "Yeah- now everyone is jumping on the vampire bandwagon, I've liked vampires ever since I was a kid- I will have you know, *I* owned the Dark Shadows board game!" He said, "Oh- like you were a trendsetter":rolleyes1

:lmao:

Back ON topic- Will we find out who the killer is at the end of this season!!?

I think I know who it is- but I did not Google it. It came from my own pea-brain.;)

Well, in the book (Dead Until Dark) you do discover who the killer is. but who knows with the show. I hope they don't make it a cliffhanger!

PS- I've always been a Vamp fan. Ever since I was a young teen, and I'm 37 now.

Chiming in here, love this show! After the first episode I went out and bought the first book. I hate watching tv shows/movies based on books without actually having read the book beforehand. ;)

I too have been a vamp fan since I was young, my first vampire books were the Last Vampire series by Christopher Pike. I think I read those when I was 11/12
.

Me too. My DD9 wanted to know why I read all these books about vampires. I recently read all the Twilight series then this past week the Sookie novels. Since I can't tell a 9 year old that vampires are just darn sexy, I told her I've been reading supernatural stuff since I was a little older than her. I just love the fantasy of it all.

I should thank my mother, of all people, for making me a horror fan....and a vampire lover!:worship:

When me and my brother were small, she would buy those models- remember those, you glued them all together. (:rotfl2: I guess they still make them, but now that I am older, I do not pay attention:rotfl2: ) She would put together Count Dracula, The Wolfman, Frankenstein, Creature from the Black Lagoon! She always made Halloween fun (and scary for us) I saw the Exorcist when I was about 10.

:rotfl2: I tell my SIL that she needs to "toughen up" her kids b/c they are scared of everything:lmao:

I have been a Vampire fan since I was about 10 or 11 years old. Back then it was right before the Gulf War, and ABC decided it would be a great idea to revamp (pun intended) the Dark Shadows Series, with Ben Cross. Well, my mother was a fan of the original and I got HOOKED. Then due to the Gulf War, and all it was canceled, but I still remember the various plot points.

Then it was a hop skip and jump to Anne Rice in my teens. And now here I sit, a vamp lover!:lmao: I really am enjoying this series, as is my DH. And while the books aren't the best written in the American Literature Catalog, they still are an entertaining read.

I haven't attempted Twilight yet.

I like them b/c they are just- disturbing. They give you an eerie feeling.

I like the opening scenes b/c not only do they give you an idea of the kind of world you are now inhabiting (The DEEP South), but also what has happened to that world, i.e. Vampires coming out (The God Hates Fangs sign), coupled with intense sexuality (maybe V users) coupled with heightened prayer.

The amount of gore in the beginning of this show is incredible - and I'm not talking Al Gore.

I liked the swearing from the newbie vampiress. Teenagers! :lmao: :happytv:

I don't think Pam will ever even come close to turning her. :love2:

Wow! So Sookie thru out Bill. WTH is Bill thinking acting that way?:scared:

I am assuming the killer is a werewolf, maybe? We know it is the guy that works with Jason, right?

So he is after Jason is some way? That should be interesting to find out.

Oh and Imzadi, you were searching for this thread the same time I was.:lmao:

I was giving the west coasters time to watch. But couldn't hold out that long after all. :lmao:

I can't believe how incredibly self-absorbed Sookie was with Bill. "Well, you weren't here for me...(so I found someone who was.)" :sad2:

I wonder if Bill will have to house Jessica now, and will Sookie think he's shacking up with her? I have a feeling we won't find out till next season. :hyper:

Yea I guess that relationship is doomed.;)

Sookie was acting like a total jerk to Bill but then again he tried to hurt Sam so she was MAD.

I have only read book 1.........but in book 2 aren't Sookie and Bill together again? I have to get the rest of the series, once i started i couldn't put the 1st book down and was done so quick!!

.........but in book 2 aren't Sookie and Bill together again?

I hope so! It looks like it might take some doing to get there. They didn't show Bill too much in the previews. They did show the dog running in.

I thought it was so funny when Sookie told Sam he could stick his head out the window. :rotfl:

Wow! So Sookie thru out Bill. WTH is Bill thinking acting that way?:scared:

I thought Sookie was so off base to be kissing Sam while Bill was paying the price for protecting HER. He'd been gone 2-3 days, and she's calling his tribunal "vampire politics?" Book-Sookie isn't nearly as self absorbed as the tv version. I'm really enjoying this show but darn if AB hasn't made Sookie into a total b!tch.
