He was soooo adorable! And I love Kevin Spacey, too so it was twice the fun!!! The scene from SNL....OMG

I stayed awake to watch it, too. It was great! He is soooo wonderful!!

Sigh... some woman is going to be so BLESSED, what a guy!

He reminds me soooo much of my Dad AND my son. My son dances around the house just like him (he can DO that Carlton dance) and my Dad has his sweet, humble ways.... my two favorite men EVER..

I am so tired from staying up to watch Taylor on Leno last night - but it was worth it! Can you say Humble? Can you can Adorable? OMG - some woman is going to be so lucky to have him!!!

For those of you who did see the Leno show and heard Taylor talk about his new "couch"... well, on the AI boards that was a SHOUT OUT about the couch the SP was getting together to send him. Connieb, a music promotor on the boards, passed this email from Taylor onto us:

Hello to all Soul Patrol, Taylor here and very busy... Thank you so much for the donation of the couch money, but what i think we should do is give it to two of the charities ..Kid One and Studio By the Tracks.. These are great organizations and I am thrilled to know that this money will go to an admirable cause..Thanks so much and Soul Patrol!!!! Taylor Hicks

I'm going to offer a reward to the first person who can interview Taylor and not mention his hair or ask him whether "it has sunk in yet." Maybe I'm just in a bad mood or tired from staying up past my bedtime. But come on....what does Jay get paid? Is he a professional or not? He just interviewed Taylor 3 weeks ago and had him convey the Hurricane Katrina story. He couldn't think of anything else to talk to the guy about?

The couch thing and the bachelor discussion were cute, but arrrrrgggggghhhhh - it's just a hair color! And if it hasn't "sunk in yet" he needs a therapist!

Do you think I perhaps need a Taylor break or am I just grouchy?

The cute moment for me was when he was discussing getting the call from People magazine about doing the bachelor piece and he said, "I was like 'uh, yea I think I'd like to do that.'" Just the way he said that - very adorable.

I thought it was adorable when Jay asked him what he likes in a woman. He said she should be funny; then Jay was saying "do you like big b**bs", and Taylor said "yeah, write that down!". It was too cute!!

I know, I loved that!! I am sure every woman watching that looked down at what God gave 'em! I know I did! I think I'd qualify! lol

I was in Tay heaven yesterday. Wish it could be like that all the time!

As far as TV appearances, check the AI site and taylormadesoul.com boards. I imagine he's going to be pretty busy getting ready for the tour to start, so we may see him in a few small interviews here and there but not too much. I can't wait to see him on Conan!

I agree, they all seem to ask the same questions! Jay seems in awe of his "son" though, and just gets giggly around him.

I did find the "girls" discussion, cute... even though I'm lacking in that dept TOO!! lol, I'm not tall, either!! That's alright, I'll still hug him to death!

I also stayed up to watch Taylor on Leno last night. (Kevin Spacey was a bonus. He's really great.) I liked Taylor's interaction with KS when he complimented him on his performance as Bobby Darin in Beyond The Sea. It certainly figures that Taylor would zero in on Spacey's musical performance.

Taylor is just so unaffected, so NOT Hollywood. You've got to LOVE him!

And, I agree, enough with the hair questions. Taylor's a young guy with gray hair. He likes it. We like it. NUFF SAID!

Conan? Please, it was hard enough staying up for Leno

I'm not sure, but it has to be in the works. I'm keeping an eye out! I think they'd have great chemistry!!

Another cute story about the Jay Leno appearance from Hot4Hicks from the AI boards..

"Hi Guys! I just went back and reread some of the stuff I posted yesterday and...man do I need to learn how to type. My tonight show re-cap had like 42 typos. yikes. Now that I have some more time, I can tell you a couple more things about the show.

When they went to the Kevin Spacey SNL piece, Kevin looked embarrassed and Taylor put his arm around him and was laughing.

In the commercial break when Taylor went over to do his song, he walked across the stage and a few of us fanatics screamed and whooped it up at him and he waved a did the thing where he hold his hands together like he's praying and bowed...as to say 'thank you so much.' He seems SO appreciative of all the attention.

Wasn't that new version of the song cool. I loved the way he ended it this time. I originally thought there was a rough spot in the middle, but I take that back. In the words of Simon...'it sounded different on tape' and it rocked!

After the show ended, everone was standing and cheering and he started giving us a little soul patrol hoot and holler. They had to tape a couple of promos for local tv teases and Taylor and Jay had some cute interaction. After the were done with that, Taylor turned to Jay and said 'Thank you so much for having me back Mr. Leno, its an honor' (how cute is that?!?! Mr. Leno!) Then he walked off with all of us screamong like mad. As we were walking out and my hubby spotted him, we made our way up to the front of the stage with about 20 other people and got to shake his hand. I think I was in so much shock I said 'Congratulations Taylor...on all your success...' and then some thing like, can I bare your children?!? Then some of the ushers were yelling at us to get out.

It was so awesome. I'm still on cloud 9 and my husband even thought it was cool. He's the one who told me yesterday to go tell my blog buddies about it!"

Can I love this man ANY more??

Just wanted to drop by and say Hey. After crawling out from under the rock I've been living under, I finally got to Target tonight to get my copy of Taylor's single and I've been listening to it nonstop for the last couple of hours! I absolutely, freakin' love this man! So glad that I found this thread, it's kept me entertained to no end!
