I saw this at work today in a training class and started CRYING I was so happy! The guy next to me said, "are you all right?" and I said "yes, just very happy for someone right now!"

TAYLOR HICKS IS #1 LIKE WE ALWAYS KNEW HE WOULD BE!! SOUL PATROL, SOUL PATROL!!

Well, I just saw his commercial & noone but the posters here would care...so...have you guys seen it yet? It must be a Ford commercial but all I know is that Taylor was singing Possibilities & dancing like only he can. It was nice to see him being...well...himself! If it is OK for Ford....

I haven't officially seen it yet, but I haven't been watching too much TV lately. It's a Ford commerical and I hear it's AWESOME. I heard the song....when he sings "are you ready for me?" I scream, "YES! YES!"

Have a lot of catching up to do after being kinda out of it on vacation last week. Got my unexpected Hicks Fix when I opened the hotel's complimentary USA Today to find the full page spread of Taylor on Thursday. Yikes! I wasn't expecting that!

DG - I just don't know what to say about your experience except Wow! Pat yourself on the back for deciding to go. I so often cave in to what i should/shouldn't do and feel like opportunities are missed that way. This was something you'll remember forever and will be a real rarity when he's a superstar.

I loved that site for what it was - intelligent blog on music, soul, and TAYLOR. I just can't get into the Idol boards - it get's so silly sometimes. I just got hooked on GrayCharles ever since a Dis poster introduced me back in mid-competition. Well, at least we still have each other!

Did you read about Taylor in PEOPLE magazine? He was a featured batchelor. One of the problems with dating he had was that he spent so much time making music that he had very little time left for dating. I guess a woman in his future is going to have to be understanding. It's hard to say if he's going to be more or less busy now that he has been discovered. I think he will be too busy with engagements that take him out of town for at least the next year.

I believe he had to shut it down after he committed to AI. Hope it comes up soon.

He also has a site up on MySpace, but the last time I saw it he and last signed in on 5/25.

It is well known that he and his brother READS the AI boards but they cannot post anymore. Several noodniks tried to impersonate him but ... yeah right. Maybe one day but Constantine sort of RUINED it for everyone when he came on his site.

BTW, Elliott has a email address for his fans, hopefully the big guy will get one, too... before he blows up TOOOO BIG!
