Well, thanks to Robin's invitation on Virgo's AI concert thread, I'm posting on the Taylor thread for the first time. As I mentioned there, although I've been lurking here for a bit, I felt kind of guilty posting becase I actually went back and forth between Taylor and Chris all season, but I do love me some Taylor!

In the meantime... does anyone want to see what Tay will look like in TEN YEARS??? [/B]

I got to see the Ford commercial last night on TV.
VERY COOL!

I saw it too! I had no idea that one was out there already and had seen the Kelly Clarkson one about a thousand times so the Taylor commercial was an absolute delight to see, enexpectedly!

DG, these were taken by stiney on the AI boards! She mentioned on the thread that you two were supposed to meet but didn't? Awwwww! She sounds like so much fun!!

Yeah, her cell phone died I had been talking to bamarules earlier via phone in the day and she never got hold of me again. I don't think it was Stiney at all -- she was really apologetic about the whole thing and felt really bad. She told me it was not intentional at all, which I didn't think it was anyway. I saw Taylor up VERY close and personal, he winked at me, we made eye contact....HOW IN THE WORLD COULD I BE MAD? LOL

I also met a few people he went to high school with AND played with a lot (before he got to AI) @ Marty's after -- they we so nice. Hit on me, too! WOOOO! LOL One even was on the basketball team with him as well! I felt like I met him! I had a great time!

Stiney and I are going to collaborate together to meet in B'Ham for Workplay (when I get a ticket..not IF!). Robin, you wanna go with? I could pick you up on the way down!

Workplay sounds like fun but I'm sort of limited to things I can bring my 13yo to! That's the main reason we didn't go this weekend! I mapquested the trip and it's only 2 hours away on mq, which means it's only 1 1/2 hours away in REAL time! Man, I wish I could, though, and what a sweetie you are to ask!

I have two friends in radio trying to get me tickets for the AI tour! They're using them as prizes and can only give them away if someone doesn't pick them up in time. The chance of that is slim but you never know! I LIVED off stuff people never picked up!!

We'll see....

Season five "American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks' "Do I Make You Proud" will debut on top of the Billboard Hot 100 to be published tomorrow (June 22) on Billboard.com. The silver-haired Alabama native moved 190,000 physical singles and another 38,000 digital downloads of the track, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
