The OFFICIAL Simpsons Ride review thread

Please tell me it is wheelchair accessible. I am taking my 15 yo brother in October and he has muscular dystrophy so he is in wheelchair. We can only do slide over transfersby pulling up right next to seat. Is this going to be possible? He is such a Simpsons fan.

To add on to what Timmy Boy said, be sure to ask for Level 1, car 1. Car 1 is the one that provides the most access. Just bring his wheelchair as close to car as possible and transfer him in.

My famliy and I stayed at the Hardrock from Monday thru Thursday of last week. When we were walikin into the park a security guard told us that the Simpsons ride was opening that day for the first time at 12:00 and that we were going to make history! He also said they were only telling the hotel guests. I was so excited because I had read all about it on this blog. Anyway we got on line at about 11;30 and only waited about 20-25 minutes. By the time we were done the line had tripled in size. Unfortunatly, my stomach did not appreciate this ride as I had to keep my head down the whole time trying not to be the first yakker on this new ride!! My family liked it and it did feel cool to be some of the first people to ride it.

For those who have ridden - how is it for kids? DS is 7 and will be closer to 8 in Nov when we go. He loves test track at epcot and the regular simulators but has not done spiderman yet and was never on BTTF.

I guess that would depend upon the individual and their own limit. The reviews so far are good...the ride is smooth and nothing like BTTF.

Heard a new Universal ad on the radio today. It says that the Simpsons Ride is "now open." Still in previews, right? That would suck if someone heard that and went to the parks... I am going on Thursday, regardless, to celebrate the end of finals, so maybe I'll get a chance to ride... either way, I am on break til June and staying at HRH at the end of the month, so I will make it on.

I really doubt that express will be open until both sides of the ride is up and running. Hopefully they will be running both sides before the grand opening but who really knows. I don't expect the ride to be at full capacity by next week. But this is just an educated guess.

So is it worth riding before Express opens? Hubby is trying to drag me to wait in line (he keeps saying we can go first thing in the morning), but my Premier Pass has made me cranky about waiting in queues so I'd just as soon bide my time. The continual ads on Fox are starting to tempt me a little tho'.

Barb... I would do it JUST to see the half hour long video pre-show...before it "officially" opens (and the EP lane) and gets really crowded....why not? Shouldn't be too bad first thing in the morning....especially in May....

Janet... I think they have the standard signs out for anything rated above a "G" ride... It IS a sim, so, I would assume they HAVE to forewarn back, neck and preggy peeps
