I was there this morning well before 8 and had to say everything went smooth with the line and the hordes of people and we were on in 10 minutes. I have to say it was very rough this time big difference from last Sat. DH thinks it is because we had a bigger gentleman with us in our row because the bar wasn't all the way down so you felt like you were thrashing around. I didn't like that at all. Other than that I enjoyed the ride as usual. It was a 90 minute wait at 8:30 this morning.

We had to laugh because we were all technically held hostage in that area until 9 so we rode MIB and looked in that store and Simpsons store to pass time until they let us go to the front to leave. That was interesting.:rotfl2:

I was there this morning too. :thumbsup2

Mike...are you going to be at the passholder preview in the morning? I'm planning on getting there at 8am so I can hopefully ride a couple of times and take lots of pictures. :thumbsup2

We go there at 8:30. Until we actually finished the ride and got our squishy coupons, it was 9:20, there were a lot more AP peeps there for it than I expected! I liked the ride, def smoother than BTTF, an I think it's obvious that the film is digital, not analog like BTTF, you would assume as much with today's technology. I was in the back row, sitting with my wife on the right an older woman to my left, she had to be at least 75!) she surprised the heck out of me, she loved it!

I should preface all of this with i have only seen the Simpson's movie. I have never watched a complete episode on TV.

I rode this morning for the first time. The posters in the first que area were interesting and humorous. There are subtle and not so subtle references to BTTF.

The numbered row area prior to entering your room to enter the vehicle. Amusing screens on the left and right. Ability to clearly here the audio in the first que area and even in this area was poor. I found the screens straight ahead to be more interesting.

Entered into the pre-boarding room and watched the screen for info. I found the info more for humor than information.

Doors opened and we went into the vehicle area. I rode in the back far right seat. I am 6' 4" and if i slightly stretched my self upright while remaining completely in my seat, my head was touching the padded door hinge area. I thought well they did not do much to modify a consistent complaint about BTTF. At one point in the ride the car pitches forward cause you are heading down a steep slope and when this action occurred my head went up against the padding and with the throwing forward action that went with this sequence it caused my head to be "pinned" with the rest of my upper body wanting to go forward. This caused a neck snapping action that did not result in bone cracking noise, but it was not comfortable and i am still slightly feeling it as i type this from home.

The sequence of video during the ride seemed to all run together as kind of a jumble rather than a story. Maybe it is because i have not seen the sipmson's tv show. I knew the end result from the start with the same plot line as BTTF with different characters. The detail from scene to scene was far better understandable in BTTF than what i experienced in Simpson's. I intend to ride it again in the front seat area and see if it seems or feels different the second time around. I had a bad day at MIB as well so maybe i was just not in the mood for a theme park :cool2:

Sorry I missed you this time. I went Saturday morning. Check out the TR for more info. We'll have to try and meet up for HHN. :thumbsup2

is there FOTL access for the Simpsons ride?
There is an Express lane for The Simpsons but I'm not sure when it will be available. :confused3

I feel the same way...I'm 6'2" and had a similar experience myself. That's the reason I stopped riding BTTF and while it's not as bad but it's still uncomfortable in the back seat. :headache:

I liked the ride and line up areas a lot. I wish the Simpsons were not done in 3-d. They looked wrong. We are so used to seeing them in 2-d they just looked funny-like the episode with Homer when he drops into the real world:)

Been to Universal today and did Simpsons 3 times!
Very little wait for the first time at approx 1030am, only about 20 mins.
Loved the ride!
Definitely need to be in middle car, second level...front. Wasnt so good in the back at all for the coaster effects....but for those concerned with motion sickness it could be better option.
Agree with everyone else..watch the loading video properly to get the full story. This wasn't easy today. For some reason the cast members were slow and seemed bored..and the doors were left open to the pre board chambers...so you were struggling to hear the video above the noise from the pre pre board videos in the loading room. First time we went there was a problem and we had to wait in the car. Seemed like they had to reboot the computer lol. Hopefully when its fully and officially launched it will be running more smoothly
3rd time we more or less walked straight on at about 530pm.
The characters were around the park most of the day, and they were excellent. The Simpson bus is great fun.

Pleased to see that the Back to the future train and car are still there...they have been moved to another spot. And the Doc was alive and well in the park today..riding his trike. The new ride is way cool and very well done......but very satisfying that not everything fron BTTF has been wiped out total...not yet anyway!

We saw Homer and Marge all day long, but never saw Lisa & Bart, I found that curious, and/or bad timing, as we were at the studios for 9 hours yesterday :confused3
