Hell man...the discounts at HHN more than make up for the cost of the AP. Get a Power Pass and do the flexpay option. That's why I always go to HHN opening night...the tix are only $24.95 for AP holders.

I talked to my friend who is opening Toy Story Mania. He rode Simpsons, and says it's better than Toy Story. :cool1:

I've been wondering what the Toy Story ride is like. I'm planning on riding in 2 weeks for AP preview.

Timmy Boy, I'm glad your friend liked the Simpsons ride. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did.

***possible spoilers***
The spin is neat too.
Yes. That is probably my favorite part because it's so well done. It feels like you (highlight to read) go upside down, even though you're only tilting.

Also I heard that one of the guys who programmed Spider-Man programmed Simpsons.

Not that we are gonna be able to go for ages but I have some questions.

Does the simpsons ride move like Spiderman or is it scarier.

I basically hate rollercoasters and wont ride most things in Disney or Universal. BTM is my limit basically but I have never had a problem with simulators I love star tours and the spiderman ride may well be my favourite ride ever.

Just wanna see if I would be ok on simpsons ride really

I'm headed to Universal today (EARLY!!) and hope to see it in technical rehearsals. If it's the same basic technology as BTTF, as others on this thread have indicated, then it's a motion simulator ride - more sophisticated and individualized than Star Tours (each car moves on it's own instead of the whole "room" like Star Tours), but it doesn't actually move through the ride building like Spiderman. Also, very glad to hear about the ride being smoother - with all the jerking and head bumps I was getting in the latter years of BTTF, I had to stop riding, even though I was still okay on rides like the Hulk (!!!) (I thought it was just my body getting older - interesting to hear that the ride itself may have been getting rougher).

Anyhoo, it sounds like you should be fine on the Simpsons ride.

Gotta love our APs. :) :)

Thank you for your review, Dark! October can't come fast enough for me to ride this~!! :)

Please tell me it is wheelchair accessible. I am taking my 15 yo brother in October and he has muscular dystrophy so he is in wheelchair. We can only do slide over transfersby pulling up right next to seat. Is this going to be possible? He is such a Simpsons fan.:yay:

Yes, the ride is wheelchair accessible as long as he can transfer in and out of the ride vehicle.

I understand the ride is now in 'soft opening' mode. Does this mean it's open full time but just not officially?
