We'll be leaving for the Poly in 7 days  We've asked to be placed in Tokelau, hopefully we will get it. I remember a while back someone posted about electrical problems in that building. I'm assuming they've figured out the problem by now? Has anyone stayed there recently? Is it completly refurbished now?

We were there a couple weeks ago on the 3rd floor on the side towards the TTC (away from the quiet pool). Our room was refurbished and I saw no other work going on in the building so I'm assuming it's all done. No electrical problems that I could tell. The water pressure was the worst I've experienced at any hotel in recent memory. I don't remember it being that bad on our prev. Poly stays but we've never stayed in that building.

Enjoy your trip!

Michele, where did you DL the music from? I'd love to hear it too!

Oh Gosh, you are going to make this old brain of mine think? :lmao: I think it was from the Theme park strategies board titled "Do you want to download some park audio?" It is wonderful. You will really get in the Poly spirit. :cloud9:

Hi,

Will be arriving 11/5/06 at the poly, First stay can anyone recommend a building for me. Have Garden view booked, need a smoking building if possible and would like have balcony or 1st floor.

Niue is a smoking building and located right by the GCH and the main pool. You will have to get a first floor room because Niue has only two floors and the second floor does not have balconies.

You expect that at a small motel, not at the Poly. Just curious - did you mention anything?

Well, yeah! I was hoping I wouldn't have to do it myself! :lmao:

That thread is huge. I may get lost in it.

Seriously, thanks for the info. I'll dive into it.

okay all you Polynesian fans out there, I have a question. I just checked my reservations online and it seems that my room has been assigned (we arrive on 11/3). I booked a standard garden view, but this says: Lagoon View King Kamehemeha Club (PL) .

Don't mean to sound dumb, but this is an upgrade right? My only question is what does the King Kamehemeha Club refer to? Concierge?

Would love some help!

I'm with you! I know that the upgrades are not given to everybody so when it happens to one of "us" it is special. Waiting impatioently to hear about this! :wizard:

King Kamehameha Club is what they call their concierge so you are booked in a Lagoon View Concierge room.

Aloha

Email the concierge and get an itinerary to fill out. Also let them know about the birthday. Have a great time.

Oh, I am so jealous!! (and happy for you :goodvibes ) I hope I get lucky too. We are checking in on 11/4, did you make any special requests with your ressie? We requested Fiji 3rd Floor & 10th Anniversary Trip.

We have 5:15 reservations for Ohana. Booked long ago, a must do for the family and the only night we can do it.
Thru AAA we have A Character Storybook Reading at 4:30, in MK. It is said to last 30-40 minutes. Again, only time we can do it.

I tried to find a later Ohana res. but no luck. Do I:

A. Play the tourist and don't think anything about it until I get to Ohana's about 15 minutes past our res. time?

OR

B. Since I am staying at the Poly, stop by the restaurant, and see if they can do anything.

This is not a trick question, but I have been screwed for being too honest before. I don't want to talk to someone to find out that WDWdine controls all times and now we have a check next to our name saying to give up this Res. if a minute late. Especially since it sounds like it is a busy night.

Thanks,

Maz

Tikiman, Do you have any reccomendations on a room for the 2nd. floor LV in Hawaii Bldg? TIA

Here are the notes I took from the trip a few years ago on the views. Now things grow and get trimmed so some views change but for the most part the majority of lagoon views from Hawaii are great. The rooms farther from the lounge have nothing near them (like trees and bushes).

Here are my notes on Hawaii views:
1518-3518 Has some small plants on the edge of the patio but do not block the view at all but the trees out on sunset point are surrounding the castle in the view but you can see the castle through them as well as fireworks and EWP.
1517-3517 have a clear view of the castle
1516-3516 have a clear view of the castle
1515-2515 look through many trees on the beach and garden area but 3515 may be up enough to see over these short trees.
1513-2513 is blocked by trees but 3513 may be up high enough to see over them
1512-3512 have a clear view of the castle
1511-3511 have a clear view to the castle
1510-2510 have a good view to the castle with some trees to the left
3510 may have more of the tree top blocking part of the view.
1509 looks at the castle through the tree trunks
2509 is blocked by more of the tree top
3509 may be high enough to be looking over the trees.
1508 is a good view through some trees. Not sure about 2508 and 2509 above it.
1507-3507 is a good view of the castle
1506 is a good view around some trees but the rooms above it (2506-3506) look blocked.
1505-3505 are good views of the castle
1504-3504 are good views of the castle with some trees to the left
1503-3505 are looking through trees
1502-3502 are looking through trees
1501-3501 are view through trees with the ground floor room having foliage next to the patio and partly in front of the patio.

Hi

We are leaving friday night staying 2 nights at POFQ then switching to poly for the start of 4 day/3 sea cruise 11/5/06. Is there anyway I can check the portion of poly stay. I want to request building etc or is just easier to wait until we get to the poly. Has anyone stayed here as part of the cruise?? Are there certain block of rooms, buildings held for this, just getting a little worried, I don't know how this works. (LOL-Type A-Here-Love to have everything planned-or at least have some idea)

Thanks
