Hello, we are planning on going the last week of NOVEMBER, and staying at either POP or Port Orleans new Royal Room. Cant wait to book it, and start planning!!!! It will be awesome going that time of year. Never been to Disney in time for X-MAS. So excited, my youngest daugther 1st trip, she will be turing 1 in October. I hope most of Fantasyland will be complete by then. And we can eat in the new castle. Any advice, on the weather, what to pack and what is a must see & do, would be very helpful! I have seen mixed reviews about the Very Merry X-Mass party @ MK. Is it worth the price? And can i book with Disney now, and still get a 30% off discount later or Free Dinning if avaiable later? Thanks!
Only parts of Fantasyland will be open then. Parts of Storybook Circus are scheduled to open in mid/late March, including the new Dumbo, new train station and Great Goofini (old Barnstormer). No news on when the second Dumbo will open. I think the new interactive queue should be up and running then too.
Snow White closes on May 31st for good (will be the new Fairytale Hall to meet the Princesses (late 2012 or early 2013).
Late 2012 - Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid ride, Be Our Guest restaurant, Beauty and the Beast village, Belle meet-and-greet, Castle wall
Early 2013 - Remaining half of Storybook Circus with Petes Silly Sideshow
Late 2013 - Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster (we've heard rumors this could go into 2014)
You can eat in Cinderella's castle now. But if you mean the B&B castle, the Be Our Guest restaurant will hopefully be open in Late 2012- I am hoping it is in November as well. The restaurant will NOT have characters, it will be a regular sit down meal, but there is a rumor there will be an animtronic Lumiere much like the Ratatouille rat at Chefs De France.
For
MVMCP, we found it worth the cost. I've been about 3x and we enjoy it. We plan to do it this year too. The weekday parties are much less crowded, so try and go then if you go. Weekend parties bring in a lot of the locals, so bigger crowds. If you have a 1yo, it might not be worth the cost for you guys, but just think about it. The party is 7pm-midnight, so if you can't stay until at least 10pm or later, I would say it isn't worth it. you definitely want to see the Holiday WISHES and the parade. We always stay to watch the second parade, it's less crowded than the first. Then we ride rides during the first with NO lines.
Yes, you can book what you want now and if FD or another discount comes out, you can call them back and have it applied to your ressie if it is available. Please note they only have so many rooms available at a discount though, so you have to stay on top of it, to be sure to get it, otherwise, it could be sold out.
For weather- be prepared for anything. I've done WDW in early December a lot and I imagine Nov weather is similar------you never know what you are going to get. I like checking accuweather (offers the longest out predictions) and local Orlando news stations for the weather right before the trip. You could see anything from 55 to 80 per what the web sites say. We've had it in the 30s before the first week of December- we were freezing and had on hats, scarves, heavy coats etc. So I would say just be prepared with layers. We always pack jeans for night time and can get away with shorts/capris during the day some. Use layers- pack long sleeve t-shirts you can layer under short sleeves, bring a hoodie or light jacket. Bring some gloves or hats just in case or if the weather is showing it could be chilly. or you can buy some there if you need to. November isn't super rainy, but always pack ponchos!
we're planning for the last week of november too! most likely nov 17th through the 27th! this will be our very trip to disney world!! can't wait to start booking!!!
woo hoo!
