Hey, I don't think I've ever before created an "official" thread.

Just creating a place where those of us baseball fans who couldn't care less what's happening with Boston or New York (well, the Bronx ) can hang out and talk about their teams.

You're a St. Louis Cardinal fan? Come on in.

I think I am finally done with the Pirates and I am shopping for a new team. In the lead so far is the Mets because that is DH's team and that is what I am subjected to. DH says I can't root for them because it is his team. I think he likes the back-and-forth during football season.

Thank you. I love baseball, do enjoy the Red Sox-Yanks rivalry but not to the exclusion of all else.

As many of you know, I love the Mets....the red headed step child of NY baseball. I've loved them since I was a little kid. I was 8 when they won their 1st World Series. And really started rooting for them in 1972, when I was 11. I've suffered more than I've celebrated, but they are my team. From Tom Seaver to Doc Gooden to Jose Reyes and David Wright, I've rooted for them in good times & bad. Hopefully this year will get better.

No matter how poorly my team plays... I still love them!

And yeah, there's obviously a long way to go -- that's been the way the series has gone so far this week. Fall behind, come back, win (well, last night -- the night before they fell short )

Trust me, I know the feeling! But I haven't given up on them, I keep hoping for the best. And I will celebrate when they win the World Series again. Someday......

I don't have kids, but I have 13 nieces & nephews. 3 of them are too little to care, 2 are Yankee fans, but the rest of have seen the light-they are Mets fans!
