Hello to all the mommies! I've been gone way too long! I just spent the last hour catching up since my last post! Glad to here there were good Christmases all around. I have read all posts but there are way too many to respond to. I did want to say Congratulations JUSTTHAT! How exciting. I am also hoping for #2 in the new year.

Well add us to the sick list! DH, Aidan and I have all been sick since before Christmas. I am pretty sure we just keep passing it between us. I was the only one really sick on Christmas, so Aidan was able to enjoy it. He was so spoiled. He got an exersaucer and a jumperoo as well as tons of toys and clothes. He even opened a few with a little help from us.

Now that I am feeling semi normal again will try to keep up and not get so far behind!

Here are some pictures from Christmas.

Here is DH and the kids in the pool in Atlantic City.

I seem to have the hots for dorky dark-haired men, who can act silly (which covers my DH as well). Yes, DH needs to come home FAST----I'm climbing the walls. All I have to say is, thank God I was pregnant and postpartum for the majority of this deployment. Just in the last 3 months or so have I been *really* missing DH, if you know what I mean. ;)

Gretchen, hope your friend comes soon. I STILL haven't had one since I had Molly! I think that's normal for me though; I want to say the boys were around 10-11 months when my period finally showed up. Goodie- JUST IN TIME FOR DH TO COME HOME!   For cryin' out loud! He is going to get a vasectomy this year, but I can't exactly order him to go do that when he walks in the door....no fair to either of us! :rotfl:

Gems- Shelby is so darling! I have the same playmat; just put it for sale on ebay as a matter of fact. Molly sure loved that thing- it was a good buy!

I am hitting the BBW sale tomorrow- I was given a SACK full of a scent for Christmas I don't care for, so I want to trade it all in for stock piles of Coco Cabana, which is always $5 at the semi-annual sale. I am also going to stock pile on NEW undies and bras- gotta look cute for DH, even if it's just Jockeys. :teeth:

Love the pics Val, bellacam and Tamie- more CUTE kids here on the Moms thread! I can't handle how cute all of our kiddoes are! :cloud9: And Val, you're not a weirdo for setting the table the night before- that's called 'efficient' in my book!

DisKim - What cute pics! Nice bib, too ;) . Aidan sure has some teeth! I pulled Jimmy's gums around last night, and I saw that both top teeth are coming through! This could explain his foul mood as of late.

Alice - I'm also going to BBW today. I'm looking for favors for my friend's shower. I think I'm going to stick to the glycerin (sp?) soaps or little lotions. I also stockpile Christmas stuff for next year's Secret Santa.
LOL at your underwear spree! I have gone on a few of those over the years. I remember before DH I was dating someone, and he was taking me on a weekend trip. My MOM asked me if I had bought new bras and undies!

bellacam - I hope you all start to feel well before the new year.

val - It's pink eye, but it's not as raging as it was yesterday. Only one eye was icky this morning. A warm washcloth took care of that.

Jimmy is still battling pink eye and congestion. I used the boogie sucker this morning, and the stuff that came out of his nose was gross. He's also a little feverish, so he got a squirt of Tylenol this morning. I hope he's well soon.

I am in search of new jeans today! I found a few pairs online, but I'm hesitant to buy them for fear I have to send them back.

Talk to you all later!

DisKim - Great pics! I was noticing all of Aidan's teeth, too. I still can't find the signs of a single tooth in Lucas. I think he'll be going to college with no teeth.

bellacam - Hope you and Aidan feel better soon.

lissawynn - Have fun jeans shopping. I have an Old Navy gift card and a pair of lounge pants I want to return there so I may be trying on a few pairs of jeans myself today.

Alice28 - I don't know about those Wiggles. The little one kind of creeps me out.

vald - Great pics! Katie looks so cute in her little pleated skirt and tights.

Well, yesterday's bottle situation turned out to be all in my BIL's head. A little background: My mom takes care of Lucas 3 days a week when I'm working. She also goes to my sister's every day to help her out with the twins and when she has Lucas, she takes him with her. BIL is a very strange guy. He doesn't spend much time at home with his wife and kids, but when he does he's strangely controlling. (We do like him and get along with him. As a matter of fact, he was DH's college roommate.) Things have to be his way and my sister lets him act like that, so that's their business. Anyway, when my mom realized she forgot Lucas's formula, she decided to take Lucas with her back to her house and pick it up. No big deal, right? Well, BIL freaked out for some reason and insisted on getting to the bottom of the "situation" so started IM'img DH and wanted to go out and buy more formula (??? - I have no idea why). I know this is convoluted and stupid, but BIL is like that. :rotfl: So when DH picked up Lucas (they were back at my mom's house) he got an earful from my mom venting about BIL. Oh, the drama.

Aidan has a total of 7 teeth already! I keep trying to get him on table food but it doesn't thrill him.

Lissawynn - I bought some jeans in NY and Co yesterday and they fit great and were half off. Old Navy had jeans on sale too. I hope Jimmy feels better. Aidan HATES the boogie sucker. He freaks when he sees it coming. Poor Jimmy!

Gotta go. Aidan is attacking the computer.

Not the PURPLE wiggle! The blue and yellow ones! :rotfl: :rotfl: God forbid the purple wiggle! :rotfl2:

Anyway, can't post much this morning- Molly was up half the night with congestion- I'm already supposed to be somewhere else! Whoops- woke up late!

I didn't get too much on my shopping trip. I bought my Proud Rooster calendar for my kitchen (at 1/2 off). I also used my Disney Store gift card and bought us a copy of The Incredibles . I paid my VS charge and got some more 1/2 Christmas goodies at Target. I bought 3 chip and dip bowls, 3 big bowls, and 3 little bowls with the snowmen for Jimmy's bday party. I figure I can use them and toss them if they get broken or messed up.
I would really like to take a new pic of Jimmy for his invitations, but I'm waiting until his eys aren't red and messed up. I bought the 1st bday crown and onesie from BRU, so I'm thinking I'll put that on Jimmy for his pic.

I did not get any jeans today. The Gap has changed their bootfit jeans, and I really don't like the way they fit me.

Hope you're all well. I'm off to get dinner started. We're having pot roast with potatoes and carrots.

Hello all! And Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It must have been 3 or so weeks since I last read and posted onto the Dis. I'm ashamed. I've been so busy, chaotic, crazy, and tired and haven't gotten a chance. Plus, our computer broke down (the video card went) and I had to wait a couple weeks for my DH to fix it. This happened just when I was to print up Christmas card pics of the kids and I almost was late getting them out because of it. I was wrapping gifts and doing my acctg work after 10 each night and not going to bed til 2 or 3 AM each day and then back up at 6 w/ a feeding or so thru the night. It was rough, but so worth it. It's great being a mommy of 3. I'm pretty hardy and don't get sick easily, but my DH and Sebastian both got colds from little Caroline over Christmas and I still have a snotty household. But all in all we are healthy and doing great and enjoying the peacefulness after Christmas.

I am just loving going back and seeing the pics over the weeks I've missed. I'm no where near catching up, but I'm having a great time. Zalansky on the ATV was so comical, and the little ones dressed in their Christmas best and playing w/ their new toys are so sweet. They've all grown so much since I've last been on and they are all cuter too, which is so hard since they were all so cute to begin with. I'm really enjoying them.... keep them coming.

My new sig pic is the pic I chose for our Christmas card. I took about 800 and got maybe 5 from which to choose. Tristan and the baby were so good and easy, but little Caroline was a terror.... absolutely refusing to smile for 795 pics. I have pics of her shivering, yawning, screaming, sucking her thumb... I even have one where tears, snot and drool are all streaming down her face at the same time. I did in fact take the kids out in the snow w/o their coats thinking the snow would be a nice backdrop so that is not cropped. We had a lot of fun tramping thru the snow to get a nice photo. She scuffed her stockings when she fell on our driveway, and messed up her Mary Jane's when she ran thru the snow rather than following a blacktopped path, but you can't see all that in the pic. We ended up choosing the one w/ our view of the valley behind them because that is one of the only ones where she is smiling.

We had a GREAT Christmas! My DH didn't have to work and our kids had a blast w/ their new toys. We had dinner at our home and some of our extended family joined us. It was so nice. Since we've spoken, we enrolled my 4 yr old in skiing lessons and he is doing quite well. My DD is so gung ho and so we took her skiing as well. She loves it and only wants to go faster. We took her up the lift and she was fine. Practically skis on her own now after one day. My DD and I gave each other new boots and skis this year (since our equipment was about 20 yrs old) and we found out just how much the industry changed over the years. We used to teach skiing when we met and now the skis are so much shorter and fatter. My DH was shocked and saddened that he had no idea what had happened. We intend to go skiing w/ the kids now a couple times a week which will get my tush into shape. Woo Hoo! Plus the family time is fantastic, and the fresh air tires out the kids... Yippee.

I also got something very special. We love Thomas Kinkade Paintings and splurged on one for above our fireplace when my oldest was born. We also have a print above our buffet table, but it is too big for that area and so I went into a dealer's shop to see if I could find a smaller one for that area. Well, on the back wall was one of their newest additions.... Disneyland Castle. Apparently the artist and Disney teamed up (2 of my favorite things) and this is the result. Disney bought the rights for the first several copies... they only made 650 in that size, and the one I saw was the last in that store. We bought it and put it in our sunroom and it is gorgeous. I made out like a bandit this year.

I wanted to post some pics of our last month, from holiday parties to us teaching the kids to ski doiwn our sand mound. There is a pic of our view during this time of year (it is so beautiful) and of our new painting. Hope this gives you an idea as to what we've been up to lately. In the meantime, I'm going to play catch up and read all the posts I've missed. Sorry it's been so long. Wishing you all the best and I'll write again as soon as I read what I've been missing.

Ok, dinner is in the oven and Jimmy is napping again. He never sleeps this much unless he's really not feeling well. I think I may have pink eye, too. My eye is all itchy and sticky feeling. I have thrown out my contact lenses and am wearing my classes. Let's hope my eyes aren't closed shut tomorrow morning.

DisE - Lovely pics! I have to laugh at you taking 800 pics and having 5 good ones! Where is Enola, PA?

Next question - When the HECK did Rick Springfield come back to GH? This is what happens when I stop watching daytime tv. I was in LOVE with him when I was 5 and watched GH everyday after Kindergarten with my grandpap.

I'm going to look at Old Navy online for jeans. My old jeans are too big! Woo hoo! I would like at least on pair of jeans that I don't have to sinch around my waist with a belt.

We are in Central PA, 5 min West of Harrisburg, about 20 min West of Hershey. :wave2:

As usual, this thread is flying!

Add us to the sick list too! Are we the last ones on this thread to get it? Connor woke up today with a head cold, I blamed that on our trip to Chuck E Cheese Tuesday night. That same night I felt a stomach thing coming on and woke up feeling achy all over and have ever since then. I haven't eaten much, so hopefully I am losing some weight - the only upside of being sickly. ;)

The pictures of the kids are soooo cute! All the kids could truly be models.

Disney Enthusiast - your kids are freaking adorable! Where did you find matching clothes for girls and boys? I scoured the Earth looking for things like that, to no avail. That 2nd picture of Caroline is hilarious! Also, I love your new Thomas Kinkade! I am jealous beyond belief of the view from your home. It is breathtaking.

Bellacam - welcome back! I was wondering where you'd been!

Diskim - love your pics too....your DH is quite the handsome one, isn't he?

Vald1977 - I laughed out loud at the picture of the boys holding "their babies." That is too precious, and that outfit on Katie is really cute. Seeing all these baby girls in such sweet outfits makes me think I should have found something sweeter for Cameryn.

Lissawynn - YAY for you getting to buy smaller jeans! That is surely something to celebrate!

tykes - that picture of Jimmy in his sunglasses ALSO made me laugh out loud! That was too cute.

Hope I didn't miss anyone - I am glad I brought a smile to some of your faces! I have to admit, my finger sat on that submit button for several minutes, while I contemplated whether I wanted the image of myself in my pajama's transmitting across the internet! But in the end, I posted it because I like other people to have a face to put with the name and that one captured what I think of myself as, goofy!

As for the Wiggles, I got a giggle out of that too, when Connor was very into the Wiggles I think I got more obsessed than he did....my guy was definitely Captain Feathersword. What a hottie! But, I started to think he may be gay? Does anyone know for sure? We took Connor to the Wiggles concert last October (2004) and I know I was more excited than Connor for that show too. It was a blast!

Anyway...I guess I better get offline. DH complains I spend too much time online and DIS-ing. He doesn't get it....he likes to watch TV and I like to surf the net. OY!

Have a goodnight all, keep those pictures coming!

Well finally everyone is in bed, here in the UK its 11pm, Shelby and DH are both snoring and I am DISing! :cool1:

I love to see all of the pictures - how DID we all end up with such cute kids?!?!

DisE- I was only thinking that we hadn't heard from you in a while, I love your new painting you are very lucky. Also that picture of Sebastian on his front is lovely!

Zalansky - Hope you are feeling better soon. My DH and my mom have both had a stomach bug over the last couple of days, neither of them have eaten much and trust me that's not at all like my DH!

Val - I laughed at your picture too! The little ones look like they are so unimpressed but the boys look so proud!

Alice - How long until your DH comes home now? I bet we won;t hear from you for a while when he does come home :teeth: :rotfl: If yall know what I mean!! ;) I am sure that liking a Wiggle regardless of what colour is unhealthy!!

Oh well I guess I had better join my family and get some sleep night night everyone!

I saw that thomas Kinkade at the mall the other day, and stood in the window drooling at it. It is absolutely gorgeous- I covet it!

I had a good trip at the mall! No boys! They stayed with Grandpa. I went into Sears and returned some sweats someone gave Molly (as you may guess, sweats don't cut it with me and my daughter---snotty, but true); got a clearanced Lands End shirt for my 4 year old for next summer. Then we had lunch- pleasant! One kid is SO managable (I went with my mom). Up next was Bath & Body- a ZOO, but I got so much stuff and only spent $1.37 out of my own pocket! (had $30 to return). Off to underwearland and got 8 pairs plus a nightshirt. Again, gift card so no money of mine spent. Then we ventured over to Janie & Jack- yikes, there are some CUTE clothes! Found a clearanced outfit for Molly for $21. Looked in Gymbo but didn't buy- planning out my Gymbucks though! And finally wandered through Nordstrom and mom got Molly another pair of Robeez with little dark haired princesses on them. princess: :lovestruc SO CUTE!

Now, I am TIRED! Mom and dad are cooking dinner tonight! YAY! And DH got his definite dates- I will see him JANUARY 11th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was afraid it would be postponed more than we though (he originally heard the 9th as the day I would see him, but that was quite sketchy and I was afraid it might be the 16th or so). WOO HOO! Gosh I cannot wait!

Capt Feathersword, gay? I don't know- I do know that 3 out of the 4 Wiggles are married with children (the purple one is single). I guess I imagined that Capt Feathersword was probably married too- we saw them in April 2004 and I think I was mor eexcited than the kids too. We got to meet Murray (red Wiggle) and give him a rose for Dorothy- he was so, so nice! I have a close up picture of him somewhere...

Have a great day all!

You guys are cracking me up with this Wiggle talk :teeth: !

Disney Enthusiast,
I love love love that painting! I like a lot of Thomas Kinkade's work also but I think that has to be my favorite of anything I've seen. Gorgeous! Your kids are cuties also. Thanks for sharing pics.

Lisawynn,
Yay for needing smaller jeans  ! I wish I could say the same but I haven't been sticking to eating healthy during the holidays  . DH and I are going to get back on track next week I hope.

Diskim,
Very nice pics! I'm glad your family enjoyed the trip to AC. A day at the pool sounds so relaxing :) .

I am slowly starting to feel better. My throat is still so swollen that it is making my ears feel like they will explode though. I'm hoping to get to bed early tonight. Can I whine for a minute? Why is it that when mom is sick nothing gets done in the house? You should see my house right now(actually I'm glad none of you can see it because I would be so embarrassed!). Laundry is piled to the sky, dishes are in the sink, toys are strewn everywhere. I kind of blew up at DH about it and his answer was that I needed to tell him what to do because he doesn't know what needs to be done. Hello, the sink is full of dishes so you need to load the dishwasher. No one has any clean undies so you need to wash some clothes  . It doesn't seem like brain surgery to me.

Well, I guess I better go and try and get some cleaning done so I can rest tonight. Have a good night everyone :wave2: .

You guys are too fast for me! More people posted since I started mine :) .

Zalansky,
Hope you are feeling better soon. I think just about every family on this thread has been sick lately.

T16GEM,
Hope you get some sleep . Good night :) .

Robin,
Sounds like you did well with the sales. I love B&BW but I have yet to get there after the holidays. I just love the Winter Candy Apple scent they had for holiday and would love to pick some up cheap. Maybe tomorrow ;) .

Diskim - love your pics too....your DH is quite the handsome one, isn't he?
Oh, you just made his day. I always tell him that I married him for his genes - I knew he would make cute kids! Ironically, they all look like him. All three are blonde with blue eyes like him. I have brown hair and brown eyes. I thought maybe Aidan would be my little clone, but he also looks just like dad!

Wow, some of you have some Wiggles issues ;) . I am ashamed to say that I don't know which one is which. I think Jeff is the little one that sleeps all the time. That's all I know. I do know who Captain Feathersword is. He never struck me as gay, but who knows. I can't say that I'm attracted to any of them. It would make those videos more interesting if I was. I much prefer my DS5's choice of videos. He likes Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Now, I can happily watch Anikan (sp?) Skywalker or Legolas. The Wiggles need to hire someone who looks like that :teeth: .

DisneyEnthusiast - I love the Thomas Kinkade painting!!! Your kids are beautiful!

Here's a question - what is everyone doing for New Year's? Are any of you venturing out without the babies? I'll have to live vicariously. I'm just in no mood to plan a night out and I have a mental thing about being on the roads on New Year's Eve. We might go up to the boardwalk and enjoy the First Night activities and fireworks if it's not too cold. Then, we'll just be home playing board games and eating junk food with the kids. Well, I'm avoiding this messy house. I just can't get everything organized since Christmas. There is no place to put all of these toys!! Their rooms are packed, their playroom is packed. They are going to have to get rid of some stuff.

Hey mommies.
I hope everyone and their babies are on the mend soon. Being sick stinks!!

Wiggles....never saw more than 3 seconds. I hope that Jace will not be into that, Barney or any of the awful stuff out there (no offense to anyone who likes them). Unfortunately, he'll like what he'll like, but I will certainly try not to be the one to introduce him to that cheesiness! :)

Jace had a growth spurt this past week. Finally today he started eating normal amounts and wasn't a crankpot when he wasn't eating everything in site. I thought that sleeping a lot was part of those - but clearly not this round. It was awful trying to get him to sleep. Tonight he went down without a problem - thank goodness. I still can't get over how big he has gotten, nor can I get over how big everyone's baby is on the DIS. The pictures are wonderful...keep them coming!

I'm looking forward to the weekend and having off Monday. I've had an awful week of work.
Well, going to make some dinner. Just wanted to check in and read up on all of you. Alice28: I can't believe how soon!! YIPPEE!!!
Have a good night everyone!

Hi fellow mommies. I see everyone has been busy. :cool1:

We are doing well. Leaving for WDW on Wednesday morning so we are really getting excited about it.

I went shopping with a friend today for an afternoon out. I decieded to take advantage of not having kids in tow and we went to Victroia Secret to get bras that actually fit and are not nursing bra's. (still nursing, but not so much, not often in puplic and not always with the kids.) This is much needed with the weight loss and use my old nursing ones are really streched out and I need support!

So anyway I got 2 news ones, one underwire one not. (I don't really like underwire.) It was great to get measured and helped by the staff at VS. They were really very helpful and it felt good to "pamper" myself.

Well I chaged into one while trying on other shirts at the Gap (the bra really does make a difference in who shirts fit.)

Anyway by time I got home I was dying to get out of it. Oh my. I think this is going to take some getting used to. Oh well at least I have something good for "special" occasions. Maybe a few hours every day. Not for long days. (oh and no underwire at the airport! :rotfl: )

Christmas around here was nice. The kids got just enough stuff, not too much but no one is hurting for toys around here. They love all the new stuff too.

DH even got me a few things (My favorite is the new shark vacum.) The biggest thing is the trip next week and I am treating myself to something at the SSR spa.

Bath night, got to go. Hope everyone is doing well.

Alice28, are you getting excited? Not long now! :teeth:
