DisPhd - I'm glad to hear that Lily and Anna are feeling better.

Taha - I'm so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon. Great pictures of Kylie. She's so adorable. Where were they taken? I love the backgrounds.

Lissawynn - I'm glad you got the package. ISS- what a nightmare. It has finally gotten better in our school. We have a man in there who is a retired teacher and he created a whole program for them. Also, they are not allowed out of ISS now if they act up or don't complete their assignments. It has gotten much better with this new guy supervising them.

Does anyone else feel like they will never be done Christmas shopping? I keep going out to finish "a few gifts" and it takes me away from the kids. Every time I get home, I remember something I forgot. I think I'm finally done. I just have to get gift certificates for the men in the family who I have no idea what to buy for. My nephew is 14 and impossible to buy for. The only thing he wants is an x-box game that costs fifty dollars. I'm sorry but I'm not spending that. His mother "regifts" our kids. Sometimes, the holidays start to seem so pointless. DH's family just frustrates me.

Morning everyone!

Great pictures Tasha! I hope you are feeling better soon. No fun!

Hope you are feeling better too Hillary.

Diskim - Yes, I know how you feel. Next weekend we have no plans and I want to be done Christmas shopping! Tyler and I have nothing going on this week, so I might email some friends who are home during the day and see if they want to meet at the mall. We can get out with the kids and hopefully get a few more things checked off of our Christmas lists.

My MIL had Tyler last night. I went to a party at my parent's house so she was nice enough to take him. She took him shopping to get his first pair of shoes, I can't wait to see them. After I go pick him up we are headed to a family ornament exchange. Busy weekend!

Tamie

Christmas shopping- somehow I am almost done. (sheepish smilie here). I have to get 1 more thing for my dad, and 1 more thing for my mom. I have always been an early shopper though- usually wrapping things up by Black Friday or so. One helpful thing though is that DH and I are not buying for each other this year, so that's one major person not on my list. We will whoop it up in January.

My MIL is driving me insane. :headache: :rolleyes2 Can I just vent for a minute here? She makes this BIG deal every year about getting the grandkids bonds for Christmas, and she has decided this last year to just get them one gift each, plus the bond. Before she would buy them a couple gifts plus the bond. Whatever, it's her money, the kids all get more than enough anyway, I see her point. No arguments there. BUT, the last 2-3 weeks, I swear to god, she has called me about 8-10 times on either my cell or my home phone, in a panic at a store, cause she's trying to decide what to get the kids, and do I think it's a good idea, and do they already have it, etc. The clincher- she already asked me to buy each kid a main present, about the $25 range, so I have and she knows it cause she already reimbursed me! Yet, she is still getting her panties in a wad over this and I could fricking scream. Yesterday she was shopping with my niece and 2 nephews (there are 6 grandkids total- we have 3 and my BIL has triplets who are 6 1/2) and they were picking out gifts from them to my kids and that's what had her in a tizzy. Calling my home phone (I couldn't get the phone in time) then calling my cell (Could not get that in time either!! You would think I'd be more on the ball with my gimp leg- like having my phone handy) and leaving these frantic messages. I was glad I didn't answer. She calls later and tells me what they ended up getting- they boys already have them! :rotfl2: I couldn't help but laugh to myself. I just got my niece and nephews gift cards to avoid the whole nightmare.

She's coming on Weds for 4 days and I'm semi-dreading it. I can't decide if she has a form of depression or if she is getting the early signs of senility. She's almost 66 and since my FIL died 4 years ago (this is a bad time of year for her, I should be more sympathetic as my FIL passed away 12/29/01) she has just become so scatterbrained, it's scary at times. Esp about money- she's become paranoid about it, and she's very comfortable financially, if not what I'd call 'well-off.' That's why I'm thinking early stages of some sort of dementia. :confused3

OK, thanks for letting me vent. I have nothing to report about Molly except, she thinks it's awfully funny to yank my glasses off of my face. :sad2:

Oh no, another too long lapse in my check in and I'm pages behind to respond to.
DisneyPhD: Hope the girls are feeling better.
DisKim: 5 teeth at once? OUCH!
Alice: Great to hear you will be getting more sponsoring/support. Hope your MIL won't make you nuts.
Justhat: Glad you enjoyed Phoenix.
Tasha: Happy Belated Anniversary. Kylie's pics are adorable. Hope you are feeling better.
Zalanksy: Hope you are enjoying your trip.
SL: Glad Lucas likes his exersaucer. His pictures are too cute!
Lissawyn: I can't wait to get my tree up so I can just veg in front of it. Honestly, it's the best part of the season IMHO.
Val: Glad DH is feeling better.
Bellacam: Loved your new pictures.
Hillbeans: Hope you are feeling better. Thanks again for the coupon offer.
Tykes: Wow, you certainly are a busy woman. Hope the exhange party is fun!
Cabmom: Hope things are going better with Dean latching on.

I hope I responded to all. PHEW...how can I not have posted in 4 pages worth of posts???

Things are going well here. Doing all on-line shopping this year so far. I like it that way.

Our new thing is trying to get Jace to nap better and on his own. He would nap for 4 hours straight on me if I'd let him. Napping in his crib is another story. But I can't complain too much as he sleeps usually sleeps thru the night. Aside from that just a lot of drooling going on around here. I tried to do Jace's Christmas pictures last night. Clearly they did not come out as well as all of the beautiful one's you've posted. We are going to try again this afternoon. Hopefully I'll get one to post one of these tries.

Hope you are enjoying your sunday. I've got to hit the shower as I am still in my PJ's :earseek: at 215pm. Oh my!
Jen

Good morning mommies!! Its a cold snowy day here in Chicago. My 2 year old DD is driving me up the wall, I caught her trying to sit on her 3.5 month old sister this morning. It's another day of cleaning and chasing DD arond. My 3.5 month old eats so much 8ox every 3 hours) that her doctor told me to start her on size 1 Gerber food (vegies) first. DD eats more then half a jar and drinks 4-6oz of milk about every hours now, she still eating alot. Anyway got to go tame my older DD. Bye for now

Hi to all, I've been busy all week with stuff at work and finally getting the rough draft of my thesis completed! Yeah!!!
:cool1:  :cheer2: :cool1:  :cheer2:

My Secret Santa gift is going out tomorrow via Fed Ex Ground. Hubby works for them so the price is right. I am a slacker as it was due out on Friday. Lily's and my pal should have it by Friday at the very latest.

I am only on post 1995 right now, but I figured I'd drop a line and let you all know I was still alive.

Gretchen

Hello to everyone,
Wow! so many pages to catch up on. Sorry I only have a minute to post as Dh wants the computer back ;) .

Tasha,
I hope you are feeling better!

Robin,
Sorry to hear that your MIL is driving you nuts. I hope her visit goes well. We went to Target yesterday and it was a MADHOUSE. I'm so spoiled by being able to go during the weekday mornings.

Sorry to hear about Madison's bump.

WTG on getting your rough draft done, Gretchen!

Hi to everyone else. Sounds like some busy weekends for all of us new moms :) .

My dh is officially going back to work tomorrow night :Pinkbounc ! I'm sooo glad he's back to normal. He's a crabby sick person ;) .

We got to go to breakfast with santa this morning for Dh's work. It was really nice. It has been snowing here all day. I'm glad to be inside my cozy house. I think Katie is getting sick. She hasn't been eating or sleeping well. I think I see a trip to the dr. in our future tomorrow.

Let's see if this works...

That picture is a little smaller than I'd like. I'm going to try to post some more pics so they can be seen.

Notice Dh's Mickey hat and Duke's dog collar and tag? :earsboy: :dog2:

Oh wow- Jimmy is a CUTIE! Look at that face! :lovestruc So sweet!

Very cute photos of Kylie and Jimmy! Jylie's hair is really getting lighter and Jimmy's eyes are so pretty-very blue. I love looking at the pictures in this thread!!

Bridget I'm happy that you guys got your package and glad that you like what was in it. I'm glad the outfits will fit Aidan too, I was really kinda nervous cause I know he's a pretty big boy and Madison was not so it was hard to judge. Don't ya love when you buy stuff and then it doesn't fit them when you want it to? I got Madison a dress this past Easter, in size 12 months (she was 13 months old) and it was huge. I put her in it for a photo but she had to wear something else the rest of the day cause it was so big on her it was falling off. I actually had to get it taken in cause I realized by the time it fit her in width it would be up to her hips. I was so annoyed, I mean, who has ever heard of altering a 1yo's dress!?! If I had any skill myself I would have done it, but I am definitely not a seamstress!

I'm off to bed cause i have jury duty tomorrow  , but tomorrow I'm definitely catching up on this thread. Oh, DisneyPhD, my husband actually didn' quite get that Madison got hurt. I hung up the phone and ran in to see what happened and he called back like "uh, you hung up on me!" The next day when he got home I said "wait till you see Madison's bruise" and he said something like "what bruise?" I reminded him and he said "I didn't know she was actually hurt." I took that as an opening to remind him that he needs to pay more attention when I talk!

Good Morning all -

Hope everyone is doing well today. My ear infection seems a little better - thank goodness I found my prescription ear drops!

Lisawynn - Great picture of Jimmy!

JustThat - good luck at Jury Duty tomorrow!!

Alice - Hope you're having a better day - sorry to hear about your MIL and her antics.

2sweetangels - Good luck with the baby food on your little one. We'll probably start solids around 4 months, right after Liam's 4 MO check-up.

My little Liam is getting really strong - yesterday we took the kids over to my Brother's house so the older kids could play in the snow. Liam was on his back and went 90% over - as in rolled just about all the way over from back to front but his arm kept him back just a little bit. I can't believe he's already trying to roll over at 11.5 weeks! I'd better start babyproofing the house again!

Have a nice day everyone! Oh, I hope my person got her "Christmas Exchange", i've not seen her post that she received it yet.

lissawynn - What a cutie pie Jimmy is! Great pictures.

justhat - Good luck at jury duty. I've only been called once but they cancelled me the night before.

Hillbeans - Good for Liam! I'm sure he'll be rolling all over in no time!

vald - Glad your DH is feeling better and I hope Katie feels better soon.

gwcollins - Good luck with your thesis.

2sweetangels - Good luck with the solids. Lucas loves to eat his cereal and fruits & veggies and I'm glad we started him when we did.

Joats - Good luck with the pictures. I can't imagine any pictures of Jace coming out bad!

Alice28 - Sorry about your MIL troubles. I certainly wouldn't want my MIL coming over if DH wasn't there. I don't even answer the phone when she calls (thank God for caller ID!). And she's not even all that bad, just a little annoying.

tkyes - Tyler's shoe shopping already! Good boy! LOL. I hope he picked out some cute ones!

We're hoping to take Lucas to see Santa at the mall tomorrow, but it's supposed to snow. I hope it's not as bad as they're saying...DH is off tomorrow and the crowds are smaller during the daytime so I'd much rather go then than tonight and forget about waiting until the weekend.

We went to my friend's DS's first birthday party on Saturday. It was a little weird since this was the third time I've seen my friend since we had stopped speaking to each other for almost a year (we had recently made amends) but we had a good time. Another friend made a "smash" cake for him shaped like a panda - complete with black and white frosting. This poor kid was covered in black frosting. He's very fair and blond so it was extra messy. I told DH we're not having a cake for Lucas's first birthday...we'll just give him a Birthday Cup of Water. :rotfl:

Great pictures Lisawynn - very cute :)

justthat - I hope your day at jury duty goes quickly or that they don't need you!

Hillary - glad to hear you are feeling better. Yeah Liam!!

SL - Love the birthday water idea. LOL!

Tyler got his first pair of shoes. I don't think he really needs them yet, but they are cute. It might help him scoot when he's on the hard wood floors. He's in a 2wide! He's got such Fred Flinstone feet, just like his dad!

Have a good day everyone!

Tamie

Lissawynn - Great pictures of Jimmy. What a cutie pie!

Hillbeans - I hope you feel better.

Alice28 - Good luck with the MIL. My MIL is pretty tame, just a little wierd sometimes. My problem is with my two SIL's . One is stranger than the next.

gwcollins - congratulations on getting your rough draft done. I don't know how you do it. I want to go to grad school but I'm so afraid of the time commitment. Working is hard enough.

My DD is so sick! I think she has strep throat. DH is home with her today and taking her to the doctor soon. She's miserable. I hope Alex and Aidan don't get it. Alex was mad that he had to go to school. He started coughing and saying he is sick too. Aidan has enough problems with 5 teeth coming in. I hope he doesn't get sick on top of it. Well ladies, it is supposed to snow here tonight. As a teacher, I think it is my duty to say :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cool1:  . I'm praying we have off tomorrow so I can be home with DD and also start on my Christmas wrapping. Little do my students know that we teachers are even happier on snow days than they are :earboy2:

DisKim - So sorry your DD has strep! I hope the rest of the family stays healthy. I just saw your previous post - I don't know how I missed it. Every year I feel like I'm never going to finish Christmas shopping. I have cousins who only sometimes show up for Christmas but they come with gifts so I feel like I should get them something in return. The problem is they wait until the last possible minute to let my mom know they're coming and I don't want to buy anything that I'm going to get stuck with. Plus, the other side of my family does a grab bag game and coming up with a gift that will appeal to most men or women whose ages range from 16 - 84 is really tough.

Hillbeans! Thank you SO much for the awesome presents for Lucas! He wore the jammies that night (so adorable! His newest obsession is "Bish", so all night he was in awe of his pants - kept pointing to Nemo and saying "Bish!".), and he wore the grey outfit the next day! And he has been playing "Little Miss Muffet" nonstop since he got it! He (and I ) love all the gifts! Thank you so much!

I am sorry I didn't get on here earlier. I was off work on Friday when we received it and I don't have a PC at home :O)

And my exchange gift went out last week - the person should have it this week, I am assuming :O)

BIG THANK YOU TO TASHA FOR ORGANIZING THIS!!

All these Christmas pics are adorable! Lucas had his done in October b/c I was so terrified of not getting them back in time. I panic very easily. We got our tree up yesterday and Lucas has no interest in it - we will see what he thinks when we decorate it tonight. He loves the lit ones at Target - says "Wow" each time we pass them, LOL.

I will BBL to chat.

Hello ladies - checking in from my desk, at work... :guilty: Thank you all for the well wishes for our weekend trip and my 1st day back at work!

My return to work this morning was not as emotional as it was with my son, maybe because I know this is temporary or because it isn't my first baby, I don't know but I am doing fine and am actually enjoying being here and talking to everyone and catching up. That probably is also because I am not actually working yet, my boss isn't even in so I have no work yet and won't until tomorrow...but I have 1000 emails to sift through. I did think of Cameryn a few times of course and I do miss her ALOT, and Connor too...

Our weekend at WDW was wonderful, there are no other words to describe it. At first I was sad to leave Cameryn behind but once we got there I was fine. It was nice not having to worry about all the little things that bringing a baby along means, bottles, formula, playpen, diapers, etc. And we got to sleep through the night for two nights!!! On those heavenly beds at the Dolphin. I love that bed so much I want to buy one!!! When we checked in we asked for a room with a view of Epcot and they gave us one, it was on the end and had an extra sitting area, it was a nice size and did I mention the heavenly beds? We also used Starwood points so that we would have access to the concierge lounge. We headed to MGM and saw the Osbourne lights and went back to the hotel and watched fireworks....and got up in the morning and went to Magic Kingdom and they were filming the Xmas day parade. On our way out at about 1pm we realized Regis & Kelly were walking right in front of us! I normally don't consider myself star-struck but there I was all giddy to see the two people I shared coffee with many days on my maternity leave! Regis had a ton of makeup on...
Mike stayed in the room and did some work online while Connor napped and I went out and walked on the Boardwalk. It was so nice out and not crowded...I wish I were there right now! When Connor woke up from his nap that was not near long enough, we got dressed and went to Epcot for our Candlelight Processional dinner package, we ate at Le Cellier for the first time and it was FABULOUS. Right after, we went to the show and that was very nice...our "celebrity speaker" was Haley Joel Osment, the kid who saw dead people in the movie, Sixth Sense. I decided last year to make that show an annual tradition, much to the chagrin of my DH, but in 20 years he will look back and be happy to have those memories, that's the way I see it. Next year we will add the Very Merry Christmas party too. All in all it was a great time and I am so thankful we live close enough to make those weekend trips. I feel fortunate to be able to.

I am trying to catch up on the posts as much as I can today, with no work to do and no boss here to tell me to get offline!

Lissawynn - The pics of Jimmy turned out great!

Tasha - I LOVE kylies pictures too! She has such an infectous smile. Where di she get her blonde hair?

Hillbeans - WOW I can't believe Liam is almost rolling over. Do you give him lots of tummy time? Cameryn is nowhere near trying to roll over. Every time I put her on her tumme she doesn't last long, she doesn't seem to enjoy it. I'd like to encourage her to do it, do you have any tips on what has Liam going?

justthat - hope you are reading this instead of sitting in jury duty! that can be such a long boring day....

joats - How do you get Jace to nap for so long? I think I have been going about it all wrong with Cameryn, I barely put her down for naps and I think that was a huge mistake. Do you put Jace in his crib for naps? Any tips would help...

Alice28 - good luck with your MIL. I wouldn't want my MIL coming to stay with us either, I feel for you! On a lighter note I got another Gymbo email, add'l 20% off sale items and I am very tempted to order some things for Cameryn in 12-18 months size. I am just worried she will be too big for them when she turns that age?

tykes - congrats to Tyler on his first shoe purchase!!! I love Fred Flintstone feet!

vald1977- good luck to your DH returning to work tonight and I hope Katie is feeling better today.

DisKim - We haven't even really STARTED our Xmas shopping yet! I am starting to get anxious about it too. We need to get going but my DH likes to wait until the last minute, see procratinator in the dictionary! :goodvibes

If I missed anyone I apologize, I have been working on this post all day between people stopping by and welcoming me back and all that goes with it.

Hope everyone is having a great day :flower:

Sounds like you had a great trip Zalansky! A quick weekend at WDW sounds great. Yes, those heavenly beds are so wonderful! I'm glad it went well leaving Cameryn. Hope your return to work goes smoothly.

Hi Andrea! Sounds like you got some great stuff from Hillbeans. LOL about the "bish" :)

I think it's time to change Tyler's diaper, I hear some tooting!
