Hi Everyone! Oops! My computer is acting crazy so sorry for the double post.

I hope that everyone is doing well. So much has happened on this thread since I last posted. I don't think I can keep up with it, but I just want to say hi to everyone! I love all the pictures of all the babies!

I just got back from Disney last night. Zalansky, we were at Le Cellier on Saturday night too and saw the 6:45 CP with Haley Joel as well! I was with a group of 13 people and boy was it crazy to try to move with this large group. :goodvibes

We had a good trip overall and the baby did great! My DH and I are tired b/c we walked a lot during the day and then would be getting up at night with the baby. It was fun though and we definitely got good use out of our AP's. The weather was great and the crowds minimal which worked out well. I wanted to keep the baby out of the crowds and it worked out great.

I drove down with my dad and it only took 12 hours to get there and to get home yesterday. Not a bad drive and John Paul was amazing in the car. I'm glad that I got to go on this trip after all even though it was very tiring for me. It will be awhile before we are able to go to Disney again. I want John Paul to be at least 3 before we go again. I'm sure I will have withdrawals, but I will survive. :earboy2:

Today, I'm trying to get a ton of laundry done and get to the grocery store. We are supposed to get snow tonight and I don't have any food in the house! :teeth:

I hope everyone is doing well and I'll check in again soon! Take care. :sunny:

Gosh, Mondays are busy days here on the New Mom's Thread! I am not sure if I can touch on everything!

Loretta & Jill- green with envy that you were at WDW this weekend, but so happy for you both that you had a great time. The dinner at le Cellier sounds fab- as does the Heavenly Beds! DH was there this weekend two years ago- he was at a conference for two weeks in Jacksonville and drove to Orlando for the weekend in the middle. He got to stay at the CR for $66 a night and had a FREE five day pass- a military special at the time. He saw Regis and Kelly too and took pictures of Main St all in its Christmas glory. Now he's sitting in freaking Iraq. Amazing how situations change, isn't it?

Tamie- I bought Molly some Robeez slippers on the recommendation of two friends for her first 'shoes.' I'm in love with them----they're just leather slippers, but they help with the scooting and have such cute designs! A little pricey, but she wore her 6-12 month ones ALL THE TIME. I need to go get the next size up, although it's on her Christmas list.

Hillbeans- I can't believe Liam is rolling over already! I mean, I can, but wow! Yay Liam! :cheer2:

DisKim- I'm so sorry your DD is sick with strep. That's no fun. Everytime that's happened in our household, everyone gets it. Here's some pixie dust that DOESN'T happen to you guys! :wizard: :wizard:

Minnesota- LOL about the bish and the 'wow' at the trees at Target!

Speaking of trees, ours is UP in my living room right now! It has nothing on it yet, but mom and dad went with me to the Guard base to pick my free tree. It's a good one! About 7' tall, very full and fragrant. I'll take a pic later. Mom and Dad got one too (there were TONS and TONS of trees and I got the OK)- they got some 8.5 foot fancy type I had never heard of- it will look great in their family room with the tall ceilings. I just think it's soooo cool that so many growers donated these trees. :goodvibes Although Christmas trees are relatively cheap in Oregon, it's always nice to get something for free!

liij - WOW I wish I'd known you were going to be there, at the very same show and very same restaurant! What time did you have dinner? We were there at 4:30...glad you had a good time too :goodvibes

Zalansky - That is too funny! I was there at 4:30 too! We had to bring the stroller in the restaurant b/c the baby was too little to come out of it. They were great and accommodated us nicely. We were sitting in the back corner right next to the restrooms. I was in a big group (my entire family). We ended up leaving before dessert b/c my dad wanted to get in line early to get good seats for the CP. :sunny:

I hope that you had a great time! It is too bad that we never got to meet.

DISKIM- I am so sorry tabout your DD. Strep throat is not a fun thing, I had it last January and I thought I was gonna die. I hope everything gets better.

Helo to everyone els. I am sitting here at the computer all wrapped up in my blanket, Im freezing.

Amy: Wow, your little one sure eats a lot! Hope she likes the solids.
Gretchen: Way to go on your thesis rough draft!
Lissawyn: Jimmy is too cute! Love his red hat!
Justhat: Good luck at jury duty tomorrow. Hopefully you won't get picked and will be home early.
Hillary: Congrats on Liam almost rolling over. Jace freaked me out and rolled over early (2.5 months). Won't be long for Liam.
SL: I think you guys are headed for more snow than down here. Hopefully you can get out to the mall. Please post on how Lucas responds to Santa...should be interesting.
Tykes: "Fred Flinstone feet" :rotfl:
DisKim: I hope your daughter feels better soon. I hope it's not strep - yuck. Also, I once was told by kids I worked with that if you wear your pjs inside out and backwards the night before a "supposed" snow - you'll get that snow day.
Zalansky: glad your 1st day back was ok and that your trip was great. About Napping - Jace won't nap well unless I'm holding him. If I hold him, he can nap for hours. Wish he'd do it on his own - the longest in his crib was no more than 45-1 hour.
Jill: I am so envious of you and Zalansky going to Le Cellier (so yummy). Glad John Paul did well.
Hope I didn't miss anybody! A great big Hello if I did.

I hope Jace's teeth come in soon. He's covered in drool constantly. We can't keep him in a dry bib (3-4 per day). He's started to get a little rash on his face from all the drool. He's been a little clingy at daycare and has been making strange chewing movements with his mouth. OF course this could all be wishful thinking, but maybe soon? Who knows, maybe not for another few months.

I'm finally going to the dr tomorrow to see if I have a sinus infection. I think I've had one for about 2 1/2 weeks now. I hope I can get some relief soon.

Just wanted to check in, trying not to let myself get too behind.
Have a good night. Enjoy the snow (all of you in NE).

Hi mommies. Hope everyones early Dec is going well. Dispite illness and set backs.

I just wanted to check in and do a little dance because since Lilly has hit her head, she has started walking much more regularly. About 6 or 7 steps on her own is it, but many times a day. Pretty happy for the little kid. :cool1: :earsgirl: :goodvibes

And all it took was 16 months. A 6 months after her big sister did. Every kid is different! :teeth:

Looking forward to our next trip in Jan. Hopefully we will get to eat a LeCellier soon too. At least I don't have to worry about Lily getting stepped on as much. :)

DisKim - Plus, the other side of my family does a grab bag game and coming up with a gift that will appeal to most men or women whose ages range from 16 - 84 is really tough.

what the heck would you get? I can think of two- a bottle of motrin :rotfl: or maybe food items.

Congrats to Lily for walking!! Just wait till she realizes that it's so much faster than scooting! She'll really take off on the stairs then!

Joats, I hope you get your sinus infection cleared up soon. I had chronic ones for about 2 years then i had to get surgery. No problems since then, but I remember how awful I felt while I had them.

2sweetangels and SL I love the new photos in your sigs! Very, very cute!

Congrats to Liam for rolling over!! Well, almost, but he'll be doing it anyday now I'm sure.

Llij and Zalansky, glad to hear your trips went well! You made me really look forward to my trip in 3 weeks. We're also doing the CP and eating at Le Cellier so I'm glad to hear you both enjoyed it. And that's great that it only took you 12 hours, Llij. I've often thought about driving from here but thought it would be much longer. Oh, and we saw Regis and Kelly last year too and I agree that he had soooooo much makeup on!

Well, jury duty went pretty well. I had to be there at 10:30, took about 45 minutes to check-in, then right before the lunch break they called me as part of a panel of 38 people, then when we got to the room they said "we have enough jurors, you can all go home." So I got to leave at 12:30. If I waited till 1 I would have gotten $4, but I didnt' want to sit there 30 minutes so I'll wait till they mail it to me, which should be in a week. Figured $4 won't make or break my day so I can wait to get it. Pretty painless overall and I have another 2 years before I get called back! I wouldn't have minded a trial too much, but Madison has a holiday breakfast at her school this Friday so I didn't want to miss that (cause my husband will be in Texas so he can't go either). So I came home, went to lunch with my mom and a sleeping Madison, so a pretty relaxing day. Of course, then I came home and noticed that I made a very critical error in calculating my cycle this month so I have been less than relaxed since then. And having to wait another 2 weeks before I know anything feels like forever to me! Please no one get me wrong, I think babies are all blessings, but you'd think after Madison we'd have learned to be very, very careful. A baby now would mean that I'd be about 7 or 8 months pregnant when we have to move, plus I have no idea what our healthcare will be, where we'll be-which means I don't know who my dr would be. Ugh. I know, I shouldn't even worry this prematurely, and considering all the people who have trouble conceiving I should be thrilled, and I would be but, well, I still think I'm going to worry till 12/19. Okay, sorry for that little rampage, I should probably head to bed.

llij and Zalansky - I'm green with envy! I can't even think about a WDW trip right now. I miss having a trip to look forward to. I can't complain though. I went in Ausgust. Funny thing - when we went we were also seated by the bathroom because we had to bring the stroller in.

Thanks for all the kind wishes for Emily. She seems to be doing better now that she is on the antibiotic. I thought I'd be staying home from work today with her but it looks like DH wants to stay home instead. He has like 80 sick days and I have only 10. Oh well!

I was up waiting and hoping for a phone call saying we are closed today. No such luck! I got the call while I was typing. It's a stupid 90 minute delay. Now the kids will be all upset that they had to come to school. Well, at least it's one less day we have to make up at the end of the year.

Have a great day everyone!

This is our tree. I'll have to take a pic of it tonight. I prefer looking at my lr in the dark; I hate our carpet and really want to rip it out!

DisKim - No delay or snow day here. The storm didn't take the path originally projected and we got nothing. I really could have used the extra sleep. Sorry to hear about the strep. Ick! I had that last year when I was pg and missed 3 days of school.

Alice28 - Don't you just love a fresh tree? Maybe we'll get one next year. It's so much work keeping it safe from the dog, cats and Jimmy.

To the moms who just returned from WDW: I am very jealous that I won't be seeing WDW any time soon. Isn't Le Cellier wonderful? I went there for the first time in August and my sister and I LOVED it. They were also very good with Jimmy and my DN. I would love to be in WDW right now.

Sorry if I missed anyone. I have to scroll back and catch up.

Good morning mommies, another cold day here in Chicago. My 3 month old is in the other room screaming at her older sister, Katelyn is something else. Well waiting for DH to get home so I can go up to the Disney store to get my Disney only exchange gift. Well got to go, Hayley won't stop crying now.

DisneyPhD - YAY to Lilly. My oldest Son Kevin didn't walk until he was 16 months...he just really had no interest, and he rolled or scooted wherever he had to go. I always attributed it to his large head and not being able to get himself going, but just as you said, every child is different. He also LOVED his exersaucer, and I often wonder if I kept him in it too much and it stalled him down from walking. We don't have it anymore, and we probably won't get another one, but Liam can occasionally use the one at his sitter's house in a few months.

Zalansky - Sounds like you had a great time in WDW! What fun seeing Regis and Kelly - LOL at the makeup comment and Regis. Hope work is going alright for you. I'll be back at work 4 weeks from today - YIKES.
As far as Tummy time and Liam, I do give him lots of tummy time. He just loves to roll to his side and sleep, and he loves to roll and twist around on the floor. He's always trying to see what we're doing in the house as well as his older brother, so that gets him turned around and in position to roll over. He still can't get his arm out of the way to get all the way over yet, but he's so close. I think some babies like TT and some just don't....but don't worry, i'm sure Cameryn will be rolling over when she's good and ready!

Jill - Glad Little JP did so well in Disney and you were able to go on your family vacation.

Minnesota! - So glad you and Lucas enjoyed the Gift Exchange. I know you said he loved Fish and Cats, and i'm so happy he liked everything.

Lisawynn - Your tree is very pretty.

Joats - Glad to hear Jace was almost rolling over the same time as Liam. I thought it was strange at first, but he loves rolling from his left side to his back to his right side....he's so squirmy. He hasn't gotten all the way over yet, but he wants to.

JustThat - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I'm sure everything will be ok for you this month, but let us know!

Tammy - I hope Tyler's rash is doing much better these days.

DisKim - So glad that Emily is feeling better.

Well, Liam and I are off to the mall to walk around and do some shopping.

joats - good luck with Jace's teeth. Aquafor works really well for keeping the moisture off of their chin and cheeks.

Congrats to Lily for walking! Yeah!!

lisawynn - very nice tree! We should all share some pictures of our trees.

hillbeans - Tyler's rash is pretty much under control. It's a day to day thing. He had a little flare up today on his elbows. His cheeks are pretty red from drooling and he has a runny nose. He just hates when I come near him with the nose sucker. Poor guy.

Have a good day everyone.

Tamie

Tamie - I love the b&w pic of Tyler chewing on his bear. How did you do the b&w?

Hillbeans - Your Liam's pic is so cute! He's so adorable!

justthat - I missed out on jury duty last September due to being pg and sick and starting the school year. I hope your "calculations" work out for you.

Yay for Lily walking!

joats - Jimmy drooled for months but never really soaked through his bibs. He also got little bumpies from the constant moisture on his face. He finally had a tooth pop through a few weeks ago. I'm wishing he's have more soon.

I think I'm caught up for now...

I recieved my exchange today from BELLACAM and I recieved the following:

.a metal bowl that has a lid for storage with a matching cup (her son who is 2 weeks older then my DD has the same set but in a boy's)

.a Spot the dog Christmas book

Thankyou BELLACAM for the wonderful exchange. I feed DD solid food's now and the bowl is perfect to use and store leftovers in the fridge.

I've fallen behind again. My computer is running very slowly, so I'll have to catch up later.

I found out over Thanksgiving that I'm going to be an aunt again. I have 2 nephews, so a niece would be nice. I also just found out that 2 of my friends are expecting, and they are due 1 day apart in August.

We took Jenna to see Santa last week. It didn't go well. She cried. We tried twice, but she cried both times. The picture is cute, though. I'll try to post it later. We had her Christmas pictures taken Saturday at Sears, and they are beautiful. I'll try to post some of those as well.

Does anyone else use Pampers Baby Dry diapers? I have been disappointed with their new and "improved" diapers. They leak all the time now, especially at night. I never had a problem with leaks while using the older version. I'm going to try the Cruisers, and if they leak I guess I'll go back to using Huggies.

After Christmas it will be time to start planning Jenna's first birthday party. She is actually going to have two parties- one at each of her granparents' houses. We will be using the pink 1st birthday Gund teddy as the theme.

I am enjoying seeing all the new pictures and hearing about the exchange. I look forward to catching up with this thread later. Jenna is up, so I need to go.

Hi, all! Well once again I am far behind as usual! This thread just moves so gosh darned fast!

I am feeling much better this week! The medicine seems to be helping some so hopefully I won't have a biopsy in my future any time soon! Dh and I had a wonderful night out Saturday night. Kylie was a perfect angel according to my mom. She was sleeping when we went to pick her up. My mom can't get over how well behaved she is and how she seems to be always happy and rarely fusses. I have said it before and I will say it again we are so blessed by what a happy, good baby she is! One thing that made my whole night is that my mom slept in the bed with Kylie until she fell asleep and then put her in her playpen. My mom has always lectured me about letting Kylie nap in the bed with me and then she did the same thing! Of course I rubbed that in! :teeth: Also, Kylie is the hardest baby to change. She moves sooo much and will not sit still. It is a battle to change her diaper. I make it look easier than it is b/c I have done it so many times. My mom commented about how hard it was changing her diaper (1st time my mom has ever changed her diaper) and how hard it was to put her pjs on. She said she finally sees what her mama must go through changing her! Made my day b/c she has commented in the past about how easy changing diapers are when I said something about Kylie being difficult to change! She finally sees I am not the worst mommy afterall! I just do things differently than she did raising us but it obviously works well for Kylie and us and now she sees that! Every kid is different and needs different things and I think maybe she is finally getting that now.

Anyway, Kylie went for a checkup today and got her shots. Usually she doesn't hardly cry after getting shots. She fusses a little but recovers quickly. Not today! You would think someone was really, really hurting her! She did calm down after about 5 min. of me soothing her though. Anyway, she is a month behind on shots. She is 7 months and is just now getting her 6 month shots (long story!). She weighs 18 lbs and is 27.25 inches long. She has not gained any weight in 6 weeks...not even an ounce!...but the dr. said that was okay, that her growth is still right on track. She has dropped down to the 62nd percentile in weight. She was at the 78th at her last checkup at 5.5 months. And she was at the 91st at her 4 month checkup so you can see her weight gain is gradually slowing down. She is still around the 75th percentile in height though.

Tomorrow dh has an appt. to deal with the ingrown toenail he has been battling for some time. I will be glad to get this taken care of. I am sick of dr.'s offices right now! I went last Thurs., Kylie went today, and Scott goes tomorrow! Hopefully we won't have to go back any more until Feb., when Kylie has her 9 month checkup.

I have skimmed some of the posts just to see how we are coming on the exchange and according to my notes almost everyone has received theirs now! I think we have 3 more people yet to receive but I know for a fact that they have all been mailed so hopefully they will arrive any day now!

Justhat~ I hope things work out this month! I am sure you will be fine but if you are preg. just look at it this way...Madison came a little sooner than expected too but she ended up being a miracle. Maybe you'll have your 2nd a little sooner than expected too but things always work out in the end! Keep up posted!

lissawynn~ Lovely tree! I have mine up too but I am so slow about taking pictures this month. I will try to do that soon.

Loretta and Jill~ I am sooo jealous! I have no idea when we will get back to WDW at this point! Glad you both had fun. Too bad you just missed eachother.

joats~ Hopefully Jace will get teeth soon. Kylie got her bottom 2 teeth at 5.5 months so maybe Jace will get them any day!

DisneyPhD~ Yay for Lily finally walking! That must be a relief with your trip coming up and everything! Yay to not getting stepped on! ;)

Hillbeans~ Kylie started rolling tummy to back at 1 month old but only did it occasionally. She started rolling back to tummy at 3.5 months old and did that constantly and then started really rolling in both directions at 5 months old. She is everywhere now! Sounds like Liam is going to be the same way at this rate! Gotta love the early rollers. Keeps you on your toes earlier than you expected, huh? ;)

DisKim~ Glad Emily is starting to feel better!

J&D~ I took Kylie to see Santa on Friday. She was fascinated by him more than anything. Just kept staring. But the picture did not turn out very great. I took her to walmart to do it b/c it was cheaper and I didn't want to pay the mall's prices. Next year we will pay to have it done at the mall...it will be worth a few extra bucks. The woman at walmart had no idea how to take pictures! The picture is mediocre at best. It was a bit disappointing.

Hi to everyone else I missed! I hope you are all doing well!

2sweetangels - I'm glad you like the Princess dish set. Aidan got his Prince set for his baptism and I tracked it down for Hayley. The lid is great, too.

J & D - we were using baby dry but recently started on a case of cruisers. I have not noticed any diffrence, but I wasn't having leaks with the baby dry, either.

I hope all the ill mommies and babies are feeling better.

Yay Lily on the walking.

Well, ugh! That's how I am today. After a whirlwind weekend with DH, he is gone out of town for the rest of the week. It's the first time I have been alone in the house with Aidan overnight. My husband got called out of town last minute and I didn't have time to prepare. Normally, I'd get a dog sitter and go to my moms while he's gone but there was just no time. He'll be back late Friday. Thank goodness we had the whole weekend together. My sister came and kept Aidan here for us while we went out shopping and to the movies. We did all our Christmas shopping, including Aidan, in one day. I needed yesterday to recover from that alone! I feel like such a wuss, but DH is a HUGE help with Aidan and I am blessed to be able to rely on him for so much. When he's gone, I really learn to admire single parents. That's all for now as Baby Einstein is ending!

T & S - I can't belive Kylie is 7 mos already! She and Aidan are almost exactly 3 mos apart and are just about the same height and weight. Glad you are feeling better, too!
