lissawynn said:Hi everyone. My friend, Jen, called me from the hospital. Apparently the new drs who saw her today told her the cyst might be cancer. She is going to have surgery in two weeks when an oncologist can be there. She is done work for at least the next month or two depending on what happens. Next week she is having a bowel (sp?) clean-out. I don't know why b/c she didn't tell me.
One dr, who apparently never went to the class on people skills, told her that it would be better if the baby died now (at 21 weeks) rather than later on. ***? Can you believe he actually said that?
She was told that there's a 95% chance that everything will be ok, but after that's dr's comment, she's a mess. She and her DH (my DH's cousin) are heading to her parents' house, and I hope she can relax for a day or two.
I am just praying that everything with both her and the baby is going to be ok.
I've been sucking greenish yellow stuff out of Jimmy's nose all day. I broke down and gave him some decongestant. I just want him to enjoy his first Christmas. He doesn't seem to feel that bad. He's still slamming his head off anything he can find. I can't figure out how that doesn't hurt him.
When my SIL was 38 weeks pregant with her 3rd child they found a lump (part of this story I told a few pages ago) anyway her Dr. was such a *** I can't say it here. He did such a terrible job talking with her about it. 1st he said they would have to abort the pregnancy (hello 38 weeks) he ment induce. (the baby came on his own 8 hours before the induction was schduled.) Then he wanted to go from the delvery room to surgery for a double masectomy. Can you imagine giving birth and lossing your breast all with in 24 hours. I still cry if I think about it. He was such a jerk. (Things didn't happen that way.)
Ugh, your friend will be in my prayers
BTW that baby is in my kicthen right now frosting a christmas cookie and making a terrible mess. (10 years later.)
