We are heding to my Dad's soon, so I just wanted to pop on and wish everyone a very.....

 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

:dancer:

Robin,

You don't have to look at the jammies for me. I've been going nuts with shoppimg lately and just ordered 3 pairs of the pajamas in the long length off the website. THANK YOU to everyone who offered to look.

Sonja and I just returned from seeing Charlotte's Web. It was so good. I felt as if I was reliving my childhood because we were waiting to see CW and they showed previews for the new Nancy Drew movie and Bridge to Terebithia.

nyprincess,

I'm sorry about your DH. I do hope that they find out what is wrong with him. Please keep us posted.:grouphug:

FF- I did go in VS and they were totally out of those jammies anyway...

I want to take the boys to see Charlotte's Web. Maybe I will take them tomorrow while DH is home & he can watch Molly.

Have a Happy New Year EVERYONE! I wonder what 2007 will bring for us mommies. I wonder if there will be any new babies besides Flumpy, Annabel & NYPrincesses baby boy to be..

Anyway, I will check in more later.

No new babies from me and that's certain (I think):lmao: I still haven't gone in for my last HSG and I don't think I'm going to. Dh and I are working under the assumption that my right tube is closed finally.:thumbsup2 :rolleyes1

Robin,

Charlotte's Web was very good and I honestly think I could have taken Kona to see it. She loves animals and I think she would have enjoyed the entire thing.

DH is taking DS to see Eragon tomorrow. DD hasn't decided if she wants to see it yet. She seems mature enough and knows about the books so DH is going to research it a little.

gottalovethem,

I forgot to comment about your pictures. They are beautiful. I'm glad you were able to have a good Christmas. It makes me sad that your beautiful family has to go through such turmoil. I hope 2007 is good for you. Please let us know if you need anything else.

FF, how old is DD again? After seeing it my personal opinion is 10 at the youngest. It is rather intense, images young kids don't need to see and more importantly, a bit boring. I thought it was ok as an adult, but a lot of the kids in there were very restless and not really enjoying it. It think on DVD it might be another story.

I do want to go see Charoletes web though. I think I would leave Lily with a sitter.

nyprincess, wow, hugs. You have so much going on right now. Best of luck to your family. I bet next year new years 2008 things will be a lot different, and hopefully easier.

Our good friends who we haven't seen for a few weeks are coming over tonight for our annual new years get together. It is fun because the kids are same age so they play well together (these are the friends we sometimes take to WDW with us.) Looking forward to pigging out and relaxing. Just 2 more days of packing and getting things done before our trip. No one is deathly ill at the moment. Let's hope it stays that way.

HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone!! :cheer2: :cloud9:

We just got home from our friend's house and had a great time catching up with old friends. Sad that staying out until 8:00 is considered late for us! ;) John is exhausted though and I think he may be coming down with a cold. I didn't want to keep him out late, so alas we are home early. I don't mind and I think that it may be an early night for me as well.

Nyprincess - I'm sorry to hear about your dh. I really hope that they can figure out what is going on. :grouphug:

DisneyPhD - Have a great time with your friends tonight and have a great trip!

FF - I loved Charlotte's Web as a child and really need to take the kids to see the movie.

Robin - No new baby here for me in 2007! ;) If I got pregnant that would definitely be one for the medical journals! I hope that you have a wonderful NYE!

Hillbeans - You are a brave brave woman for having a brazillian! My dh would be in heaven if I ever had one done, but I'm too chicken. Anyway, I keep thinking of that episode of SATC where Carrie had one done and she tells Samantha and Miranda that she 'got mugged' down there b/c she wasn't expecting it!

dizagain - What is the Playskool play dome? It sounds neat! Good luck with your haircut too. I've done that before where I've just gone in and gotten it all chopped off. Let us know what you decide to do!

SL - That DVD sounds hilarious! Let us know how he likes it.

Happy New Year to everyone - Zalansky, Joats, J&D (are you back yet?), GLT, Tamie, Fabumouse (where are you?), Val (are you feeling better?), BNBmom, Gems, Gretchen, Ryan840, Cabmom, Lissawyyn, DisKim, Tasha, Bellacam, Nucpharm, Justhat, Ginamarie and everyone. I hope that I didn't leave any moms out! Have a safe and wonderful evening!

Happy New Year DIS moms. I hope your new year is healthy, prosperous and full of goodness. You ladies each deserve it.

The kids and I rented some movies (first time I was in a video store in years), and watched one (we have more to watch today), and had our own party last night with chips & dip, pizza and chex mix. I even let them splurge and have a bit of diet cherry 7up. Then we undecorated the tree and put that away.

My New Year is starting off with a bang of a different sort. Before our "party" last night I had to take DD to the hospital, I thought her finger was broken (it was the same one she broke earlier this year). Luckily it wasn't, but it started off our evening of adventures. Then, Leif was up at 12:40 for a feeding (yes, that kid still nurses and has been sleeping terribly lately). Then at 3 a.m. DS was up throwing up. We are still dealing with throwing up issues an hour later. I guess he has the bug that's been going around?:confused3 Poor child. Now Leif is awake in the crib and DS and I are on the couch. The poor kid can't sleep because he's throwing up every five minutes....:sad2:

Pooh angel, love the pics of your baby in your sig. Happy New Year to you too!

Jill- glad you had fun with your friends. I hope the rest of your evening was peaceful and that you are feeling better -- no cold for you I hope. Oh, and I meant to tell you. I used your gift card yesterday -- thank you so much. This may sound silly, but I used it to treat myself to a Swiffer wetjet and the pieces that go with it, along with a scrubbing bubbles disposable wand (Leif had kept getting into the old fashioned scrub brush), sneakers for DS, a giraffe toy for Leif (dollar spot at Target:thumbsup2 ) and a couple pirate items (once again dollar spot at Target) for DS' birthday. Thank you a thousand times over!! I am so appreciative.

Disneyphd:banana: how exciting that your trip is just days away! May everyone be healty and have a blast! I hope to go in January one year (I did want to go next year, but may need to push that back), let mek now how the lines & weather are! I hope your party with friends went well and the kids had fun playing!

Diskim & Jill- I am in BIG trouble with DD if her tone as a toddler set the pace forever. She threw hourS-long tantrums and was/is very emotional and moody. She even said at the age of two that she hated herself, where in the world would she get that????? So I thank you for this warning because maybe I can try to stave off some of this drama as a teen? Or at least be prepared.

Robin - My parents took DD to see Charlotte's Web while we were in Ohio. DS didn't want to go, so I stayed with the boys. She seemed to enjoy it, as did my dad. I so want to see it but will have to wait until it's on pay-per-view (or maybe video, but today was the first day in years that I walked into a video store).

FF :grouphug: Thank you so much. You, and all the DIS moms have already done so much for me, both emotionally and through your generous gifts. I am forever grateful and feel so blessed. Trust me, if I have problems you will be the first to know;) Thank you. BTW, in caseyou didn't read Robin's post above, DD and my parents went to see Charlotte's Web and enjoyed it. I so want to see it too, but will have to wait for it to hit the TV screen.

Hillbeans - sorry the drive was a challenge. I have thought about driving to South Carolina to visit friends this summer and the thought of that drive makes me nasous (sp????). But I know we would have a good time once there.... the drive to Ohio is bad enough. That's 530 miles! I hope you had a nice evening.

Nucpharm - speaking of Ohio, I'm sorry I missed you. Time kinda disappears when we are there. I hope your trip went well. Are you back now? Thinking of you!

Zalansky - Happy New Year to you too! I'm thinking of you, and said prayers for you!

dizagain - the Playskool toy sounds adorable! I hope you had fun playing games last night -- and I say go for a new hair cut, it'll grow back! Sometimes a dramatic change is fun. Of course, moving is dramatic enough...how's that going BTW?

GM - I wanna see baby new year pics!!

SL - That video sounds incredible. What talent you must have to be able to put something like that together. I'm sure it will be a huge hit. Be ready for people asking for copies!!

nyprincess - glad Christmas was fun. I hope your DH is okay and that you are able to get his condition diagnosed. Prayers and good thoughts to you and your family. :wizard:

justhat - I know how you feel on the no sleep thing. Leif has been waking lots lately and it's really taking it's toll on me. HOpe you had a great night!

DisKim- how was First Night? I hope you had fun and the fireworks were enjoyable!

J&D - I have been burning those angel candles this week. The thought of the angels watching my darlings when "he" is around really does help. Thank you.

OK, DS has finally fallen asleep,a s has Leif, I think. So I'm gonna lay on the couch and try to get some sleep myself.

Night all -- actually, morning....

GLT - Don't worry, I'm sure we'll have our offical moms of teens thread in years to come so we can all support each other through those wonderful years. I'm sorry about the puke and almost-broken finger. What a night! Aidan was vomiting too.

Jill - I cracked up at your pregnancy comment!

robin - Um, I'm really hoping that I won't be the one to get pregnant in 2007 or any year thereafter. However, I tend to do stupid things......

Well, we had a wonderful New Year's. We had a blast at the boardwalk. They gave the kids so much stuff with the $5 writstband. They had charicatures, face painting, skee ball, shooting gallery, cauousel rides, $5 of free arcade play and tons of stuffed animals. It all ended with fireworks on the beach. Aidan was entranced. I have to say that on days like yesterday, I wonder how I could ever consider leaving Jersey. We came home and gorged on ice cream sundaes and played Bingo. Unfortunately, Aidan developed a cough (I'm feeling guilty because it started after we went to the boardwalk) and threw up all over his crib. He seems okay today. He just coughs every now and then.

I was crying this morning over going back to work tomorrow. I've loved being home with the kids this week. It's really pathetic that I'm crying over leaving Aidan tomorrow. You'd think I'd be used to this already.

Hi everyone

Happy New Year!

Another drive by post from me, I have been having a hard time of it this week. I am seriously ready for this pregnancy to be over. It seems to be going on forever. I have had flu this week, dh has been working millions of hours too so I have been single handedly looking after Shelby - she is walking now so we are chasing her everywhere. My restless legs have gotten worse so I am using loads of moisturiser but it doesn't seem to work!:confused3 And I think that morning sickness has returned - oddly. I have been throwing up every morning in thr shower - eughh!

SOrry to moan on about me.

Speak soon
gems
xx

Just a quick post from me. Tyler is still at my parents house and we are going to take down Christmas decorations and get this house put back together.

We didn't make it to the fish house for New Years - it rained too much the past couple of days so there was water sitting on top of the ice. We didn't think it was a good idea to go out. We went and saw Night at the Museum and then had our munchies and played games at home. It was fun. We barely made it until midnight!

bellacam - I emptied out my PM box, if you get a chance to resend it, that would be great. Bailey's dress is gorgeous! Your family is beautiful.

hillbeans - I've had a regular wax done a few years ago and quite frankly, I take more off when I shave. I was very dissapointed in it. I guess my theory is that if I'm going to take some of it off and endure the pain from that, I might as well go further and take a lot more off. I don't know that I'm taking off 100% of it.

glt - Thanks for sharing your pictures! Your kids look like they had a good Christmas. We were all thinking about you!

gems - sorry you still aren't feeling so great! Did you guys open your exchange presents for Christmas?

gotta go - dh is staring me down because he is doing all the christmas decorations by himself. heaven forbid!!!

i'll try and get back on to finish when he's not being a pain ;)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!! Hope this year brings happiness to all!

We had fun last night - hours of "Twilight Zone", Frito Pie and Death By Chocolate, some games, and best of all...Carson went to sleep after his bottle in his own bed from 9-12!!!!! He actually woke up at exactly 12 which was kinda funny. DH was asleep by 9 in his chair but the girls and I had fun playing games and the fact that Carson slept REALLY made them happy!

I'm laughing reading the talk about kids and their personalities...I absolutely LOST it with Hannah yesterday. As I've said before, she has always been high-strung, easily throws major fits when she "loses it", etc. But she has always been a sweet, polite kid when she's not busy acting out. Lately she is all about attitude - every single thing out of her mouth is laced with sarcasm and eye-rolling. We cut her off from Disney Channel two months ago except for Hannah Montana which I don't think is so bad...the other shows all have those kids mouthing off constantly. Anyway, it has gotten to where we don't even want to be around her which is really sad to think about. She started in with her "whatever" yesterday and I just let loose and told her how I feel about the way she's been acting. I had her in tears...I kind of feel bad about it but maybe it will actually help. We'll see...she'll be 11 in a few weeks so while some of this is to be expected, it's VERY extreme and she needs to cut it out.

diskim - I'm sorry you're struggling with going back to school. Enjoy today and at least it's a "short" week with MLK Day on the way soon too!! It sounds like you all had a wonderful time at the Boardwalk - so cool!

GLT - what a rough night! I hope DS is feeling better and noone else gets it! Sounds like you still had fun in between the drama, though! Enjoy your Swiffer!!

Poohangel - Happy New Year! Faith is so cute!!!

jill - sounds like a relaxing NYEve!

disneyphd - have fun getting ready for your trip!

gems - hang in there! SO sorry you're having a rough time! Glad to hear from you!

ok - gotta run feed Carson....he took a nap of almost two hours this morning!!!!!:woohoo: have a great day!!!!!

Good morning mommies,

I hope everyone had a great NYE. I fell asleep around 11:15 as Kona was up at 6:30 that morning which is very unusual for her.

DH and DS just left to go see Eragon so it's a girls day here. I might take them to the Dollar Store so we can get some dice. My Aunt gave me instructions for a really fun game with dice and nickels that we play once in a while.

My ebay auction ends tonight and our reserve has been met so that will be a nice chunk of change in my Paypal account this week.:thumbsup2 Dh is picking up his bike on Wednesday (he took the day off and everything:rotfl2: )
I can tell he's really excited.

gottalovethem,

Sorry about the sickness going around your house right now. I hope you manage to stay healthy. :grouphug:

GEM,

:grouphug: :grouphug: Sorry it's been rough lately.

GLT- Yes, I started my trip report. You can find it here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1306151
I get very verbose though, so it’s going to take me awhile to finish!

Justhat- I usually leave DH home when I go shopping too. I took him to the outlet mall with me once and within 5 minutes realized what a mistake it was! The only store he’s good to take to is BJs, which for some reason he loves and leaves me alone.

DIsKim- LOL about being called “grandma”! For the longest time, my dad said he didn’t EVER want to be called “grandpa”, but as soon as Olivia was born he took right to it. I guess when the time comes everyone is ready for it, but before then, no thanks!
Glad the boardwalk was fun for you guys.

Nyprincess- I’m sorry things are so hectic for you. I can’t even imagine being 8 months pregnant and having to take care of everything at the same time. I hope they can figure out what’s going on with your DH!

Dizagain- I hope Carson settles down with his sleeping. Olivia is going through a better phase the last couple of nights, but I won’t fool myself into thinking it’s permanent.

Alice- that’s so true that 2007 might bring a couple of new babies we don’t know about, not from me though! (Of course those are the famous last words, right?)

GLT- Throwing up bug sounds familiar. That’s how I started my new year too :(

Gems- I started getting sick like that again about two days before Olivia was born. Maybe you’ll go into labor early!

Tykes- sorry you didn’t make it out for New Years.

I’m sick again! I feel like I’ve been getting stomach problems so much lately. New Years was ok. We spent it with my family and some family friends, and slept at my parents’ house so that we didn’t have to contend with drunk drivers on the way home. It was very strange sleeping in our old apartment, almost like we never lived there at all. Of course right after midnight I started getting sick, and I’ve been throwing up ever since. I also have some terrible back pain going on. DH decided to stay home from work so he could help take care of Olivia while I’m sick. I still haven’t dressed her as the New Years baby, and again took no pictures. I just know I’m going to look back on this year and shoot myself for failing to take pics!

OK, time to get Olivia some lunch since she’s up from her nap.

My mom just told me some horrible news. Her best friend's son committed suicide yesterday. He was my age and saddened over a break up with his girlfriend. I'm just in such shock and so sad for the family.

Sorry to be such a downer. This is just so sad..............

My NYE started out fun, but then got sucky. I had 2, TWO, drinks and gave myself a headache, which this AM turned into a migraine, so I just had a shot a half hour or so ago. Lovely. I am officially a wuss. I think it was the peach schnapps in the sex on the beach drink DH made for me. Those used to be my favorite drinks, but I guess not anymore.

The people on the street behind us got some illegal fireworks from Washington I guess and were putting on quite the display. If I hadn't had a headache, it would have been nice, as every few minutes from our back bedroom window you could see big poofs of purple, red, green and yellow sparkles.

Our neighbors that we are close with came over for an hour or two and we had fun catching up with them. Their 2 year old and Molly got along quite well, and their baby is so sweet.

In a while DH is going to take the boys to the snowline at Mt. Hood for them to play in the snow a bit. I can't wait til they are out of the house- I haven't had a break from the boys in forever and I need the quiet. They'll be gone at least 3 hours as it takes an hour to get there.

GLT- I'm sorry the throwups went on in your house last night. I am glad that Lindsey didn't break her finger though! Hope Laine feels better soon.

Kim- Sounds like the Boardwalk was so fun last night! I am sorry about Aidan throwing up- maybe it was just too much food and excitement or something and he's not truly sick.

GM- I will definitely check our your trip report!

Gems- so sorry you are feeling lousy too. I hope the next few weeks go very quickly for you- you're not that far from your due date! Maybe this will be over sooner than later.

Diz- hope that Hannah sees the light and that one can catch more flies with honey than vinegar! I think I was about 13 when I realized, "Hey, I can get what I want much easier and more often if I'm not such a smart mouth!" And it certainly paid off in high school. I hope she will stop the sassiness for you soon!

Hi PoohAngel! Faith is a sweetie!

lissawynn- hope you were able to accomplish all the things you had on your to do list this weekend.

FF- yay that the reserve was met on your ebay. I think I have two more days on my baby clothes. No one has touched the Star Wars guys. Maybe I will just return them and bag the idea of a profit. :confused3

Tamie- sorry you weren't able to make it to your ice cabin. Hope you and your DH are able to get all the Christmas stuff put away.

Jill- ETA- just saw your post. That is so awful. I'm so sorry.

Well, I need to sign off and take a shower or something. Nothing on the agenda today for me. Just puttering, cleaning (if I must), and maybe doodling with some WDW plans.

Happy New Year!!

Jill-Oh, how awful. Not a good start to the year for your mom's best friend. Sorry to hear the bad news.

Robin: Sorry about your migrane. My head is killing me too - but I think mine is the weather unless you can get a hang over from Chocolate Oreo Pudding Pie. I'll always chose chocolate over liquor for a celebration :rotfl:

DisKim: I feel your pain!! I was saying the same to DH this morning how the past few weeks have been so nice to have so much more time with Jace due to the holidays and less work days. I'm sad too about going back to work...it has been so nice. I don't think I'll ever get over it either. Hope you can enjoy your day with Aidan today and at least it's a shorter week than usual. :grouphug:

GM: I hope you are feeling better. As far as I'm concerned there is no sickness worse than throw up sickness.

FF: Hope you are having a nice girls day today.

Dizagain: Soundsl like Carson wanted to participate in ringing in the new year at 12.:rotfl: Hannah sounds like she's tought to handle these days - hang in there!!!

Tkyes: Glad you still had a fun NYE despite the weather. Taking the xmas stuff down and putting it away is such a pain. And why is it all the stuff never fits back into the bins that you took it all out of in the first place?

Gems: Oh, you poor thing. That stinks to hear you've been so sick and now having vomitting again?? Not far now, but it must be difficult especially with Shelby on the MOVE! Feel better.

GLT: Your pictures are adorable. The kids look very happy. Sorry to hear about all the illness and ouchies. I hope you are doing ok...stay strong!!

PoohAngel: Your DD is so cute!!!

Well, Jace survived his first haircut. He actually did really well. He loved that he got to sit in an airplane to get it cut. While I miss all his curls (they'll grow back) he looks like such a big boy now.
IMG_35762.jpg

IMG_3579.jpg

It's unbelievable how big he is gotten. I can't even remember him as a baby anymore. He's been talking up a storm too which is really cute. Tomorrow at daycare he starts with a new teacher in a toddler transition part of the class. He's in the same room until September, but with a different teacher (who he already knows from subbing) and has a different more structured schedule. The room is divided and he's now on the "big boy" side.

DH and I played a few board games last night and ate Oreo pie. We had fun, although he beat me at every game and I wasn't happy about it :rotfl2: We are very competitive with board games and minigolf (in a playful way). Even though I was a big loser for the evening, we had a lot of laughs. I think we only made it to 10:30 :rotfl2:

Today we are all still in our PJs.:scared1: with no plans. It's actually nice. I made a big buttermilk pancake and bacon breakfast and we've been just hanging out all day. Jace is napping now (part of the new daycare schedule)

Just wanted to pop in and say hello. there are a lot of moms we haven't heard from in a while...I hope they are ok (Fabumouse,Ryan, Gretchen, icebrat...)

Happy New Year all!
:)

Glad to see everyone had a good NYE...

But Jill, I am so sorry to see the news about your moms best friends son. That is heartbreaking news.

We ended up going to Outback with my sister and BIL. BIL's mom is here taking care of my father until further notice, she was gracious enough to watch the kids for us so we could have a child free dinner. So nice. I had a few glasses of red wine but feel pretty good today, all in all. With all the reports on the benefits of red wine I don't feel guilty drinking it. We didn't get home until 1:30am so this is the latest night I have had in a long time. DH is taking a nap as we speak.

joats - Jace's haircut looks great! I remember when we got Connors haircut the first time, I was upset because I felt like he was not a baby anymore. It took me a while to get used to him with a "big boy" haircut. Cute pics of Jace in the plane chair!

diskim - sorry you have to go back to work tomorrow. I am dreading DH going back also. Back to the routine of everyday ho-hum life for me.

poohangel - ADORABLE picture! Thanks for sharing it.

gems - sorry to hear you're feeling bad. I can't believe how fast your pregnancy has gone (in my timeframe) - it seems like you just announced it!

GM - sorry to hear you're sick again too! Hope you feel better soon.

Well - I am debating cancelling our trip to WDW in March. Sorry Robin! But with the WL pool being closed that won't be much fun. And with FF not going anymore I wouldn't want to burden you with having to try and meet up with us when you're going to be super busy. If we do cancel and you have any free time, maybe DH and the kids and I can drive over and meet up with you at DTD or something. I just hate to waste 30 points a night with no pool available.

Anyone heard from Icebrat? I am worried about her.

Have a good day everybody. Going to clean the house. UGH. See you later.

zalansky,

We're still going to WDW in March, as far as I know.:thumbsup2 We are going to see Laurie Berkner on the 25th (going down the night before) and then my parents are coming sometime that week. I'm glad they changed their plans as my mom didn't break her toe but she did fracture her tailbone. OUCH.

I just have to look at the dates, find out if Robin is keeping her res at WL and go from there.

Of course, that could all change in a second. I know we will probably not stay at WL because of the pool. I CAN't imagine everyone around that little dinky villa pool.

Your night out sounds fun. I wish DH and I could do something like that.

jill,

So sorry about your friend. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Robin,

Sorry about the migraine. It sounds like you had fun last night, too.

FF - I will wait and not cancel my ressie then! I may try and switch resorts so we can have a pool though. Like you said, there is no way the villa pool is going to work for all those guests!
