Hmm, late June would not work for me as I work for a school board in the IT dept and we print all the high school report cards for every high school in our region. They never allow us to take holidays the last 2 wks in June, 1st week in July or the first week in Sept. That really sucks! Maybe we'll have another meet another time??? Or maybe I won't be working there then? Who knows! Time will tell.

Thanks for letting me know!

Joats - I think Choo Choo Soul does come on after other shows but we only DVR MMC too so I'm not sure which ones. I think maybe Little Einsteins but I'm not 100%. I tried to DVR them this summer but found it came on kinda randomly so I gave up. I also love that Imagination Movers song about sleeping in your own bed. Of course Madison doesn't seem to agree with me!:lmao:

Bengalbelle - Welcome back and wow has Caroline grown since I last talked to you! Your kids are both so adorable. My friend's baby has allergies to milk and soy and GERD as well and is on Nutramigen and doing much better. She started out on regular Enfamil and ended up in the ER with projectile vomiting around 3 weeks old. They switched to Pro-Sobee (or something like that) and she did better with it but was still super fussy, vomiting, etc. so they finally changed her to the Nutramigen around 3 months and a lot of the symptoms went away. She's also on reflux meds but they didn't change them during those times so the change had to be from the formula. I hope you can figure out what's causing Caroline's problems cause I'm sure it's frustrating for you and her.

Jill - I forgot to congratulate you on the paper! Way to go!:thumbsup2 I'm so exhausted too after a very late night and early morning so I'm off to bed after this too.

Zalansky - Though Connor's party was a lot, I bet the kids all had a blast. I wish we had one of those places around here cause it's tough thinking of ideas for Madison's birthday with the weather here in February and not having enough space in our house.

Nucpharm - Congrats on the 12 miles!! Weird about your FIL chasing you out cause of the cat though. :confused3 Some people have odd priorities I guess.

Alice28 - Sorry about the WL pool. I hope the overflow rates come through for you. My mom is actually thinking about staying at SOG on her next WDW trip cause she loves the MK area but doesn't always want to shell out the crazy money for the monorail resorts. I forgot to tell her about overflow rates, I bet she'd really be excited then. I wish I could stay there when she's not with us too cause it sounds like quite the deal. I can't believe your husband spoke to a battalion about going back to Iraq without discussing that first (or maybe he did and I misread it). I would not have been happy either.

Tamie - Have fun on NYE! What I would do to spend it kid-free.;) Although with my husband on call on the 1st I'm sure he'll be in bed by 9 tomorrow night anyway. And enjoy shopping for Cozumel!

Floridafam - Great deals you got today! You inspired me to check out Bath and Body Works, though I really need to not spend any more money. I have been looking at our Photopass pictures and I like that Photobook thing, but again, I shouldn't spend any money right now.

Ginamarie - I hope you get a decent night's sleep again tonight. :wizard:

I thought I'd get through more, but I'm so tired I can barely keep my eyes open so I should go to sleep. My friend and I were up till 1am talking and then Henry got me up before 7am and did not nap well at all today. Oh, and I think I mentioned that I told my friend about these boards (she's going to WDW on the 4th). Well she's totally addicted now too. :teeth: She's been to WDW many times (including with me) but decided to become a crazy planner this trip. Well I'm off to bed with hopes of going to Target tomorrow to pick up some diapers since my coupon expires. Henry is in size 3s. Madison was potty trained wearing size 3s and my 4 month old is already in them!

HI MOMMIES!!! I missed you all soooo much! I have been thinking of, praying for and thanking you all every day! You ladies really made Christmas work for me this year and I will be forever grateful.

I see I have missed some drama and hope that everyone is doing okay.

Diskim - were those your pics of the choo choo train around the Christmas tree? I can't recall, but I loved that!

Robin - bored? I can't image:rotfl2: I hope you are well, have you had your spa fix yet?

Zalansky - I think of you ladies as wonderful God-sends who have really been there for me. And although we are not with each other in person we are certainly with each other in spirit and I love you all for it! BTW, the gifts were huge hits!!:thumbsup2 thank you. Happy belated b'day to Conner.

Speaking of b'days -- DS will be 4 on Friday and my dear mother bought the decor and party favors for me. I'm so grateful that she is helping me to give DS a great b'day party. It's a pirate theme, if any of you moms have great party/games ideas that won't cost much -- and that are not too crafty, let me know!!

Jill- thanks for sharing the pics! And thanks for thinking of my kids and the goodies! I am grateful. And will get in touch with your sister for tips/advice. I have also signed DD, DS and I up for Rainbow Kids which is designed to help parents and kids cope with a loss/divorce. I hope that helps.

Hillbeans - I got your gift, thank you!!

Here are some pics of the kids I thought I'd share.

Leif wasn't too thrilled with Santa either. They like Disney but not Santa? What's up with our DIS babes?

Here's Poppy reading Twas the Night Before Christmas to the kids - note the wonderful Gymbo pj's courtesy of a great DIS mom:santa:

Leif thrilled with the gifts.

I'm not looking my best, but here we are...

This giant Mickey is a huge hit with the kids, esp. Leif, thank DIS Mom!:santa:

More DIS thank yous!

Gotta love the personalized DIS-wear!!

I hope to come back and catch up more tomorrow -- know that the drama continues, but is currently bearable!! sp??

GLT - thank you for sharing those wonderful photos!!! :goodvibes I think you look great and also, I think your DD looks like Poppy! That is such a sweet photo of him reading to them. The kids are just so adorable.

About the Choo Choo Soul, I also thought at first that the woman who sings didn't seem like someone who'd be involved with kids music - but then I found the songs to be catchy and the kids like it - so really, who gives a hoot whether she would be involved with kids or not? Frankly, it's just music. :confused3

Good to see you Cabmom!

Nitey nite.

Aw, Allison, GREAT pics! Thanks so much for sharing! I'm glad things are at least bearable right now...

Justine~ when I checked into overflow rates for another trip, they weren't THAT great...I think it was a girl's trip that never materialized cause DH got called up. I'm hoping it's better than I recall, cause I want to say it was still close to $300 for a room at GF (a regular room). I hope you get some good rest tonight!

And yes, you read it right- DH talked with a commander before me about going back to Iraq. He feels he has unfinished business there. I'm like, "let someone else finish it...I will go insane if you leave again! ESP if you volunteer!" It's one thing if he's called up again; not much I can complain about there, but if he volunteered and they took him, I would be very, very angry.

I have the munchies for something crunchy, and I don't think we have anything except triscuits or goldfish. Oh well....guess I should avoid snacks like that anyway. popcorn::

Val- you feeling better tonight? Hope so.

I decided to post a few shots of the Pump It Up fiesta from today...if any of you have one of these nearby and get a chance to go (they usually have open play times too) do it! It was a blast. And like Bengalbelle said, the kids got really worn out and took great naps today! The parents had a good a time as the kids did which was nice, too.

GTL, welcome back. Love the pictures. Your Christmas looked great. Glad things are more bareable now. :grouphug:

Robin, I have to agree about Daniel Zanns. We love him so much we had to get the DVD. Lily just loves the "hello" song. The other band we do love (everyone even my 15 year old niece) is the Laurie Breckner band. We love that DVD. They kids sing the songs all the time. I had Moon, Moon, Moon in my head during my root cannel. I calmed me right down. :cool1:

Z, Love the pictures, it does look like a fun place. What is 490 for a little bit of sanity? (not that DH would see it that way.) He does agree the little roller coster is sanity in a box though, but it only cost $80. :rotfl:

Hi mommies! I hope you all are well. Things have really settled down here. Bailey had a great visit at the Dr's yesterday. We celebrated her Baptism tonight after mass and I thought I'd share some pictures. Her gown was my DH's when he was baptized. My MIL made it by hand and it's mostly croched. Aidan wore it too when he was Christened. My nephew was also baptised today so it was a very lovely evening with a little party for the two of them after. I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. Enjoy your New Years Eve's, what ever you may be doing!

Aidan was being a little wiggle worm, so this is the best we got for a family shot!

It's one thing if he's called up again; not much I can complain about there, but if he volunteered and they took him, I would be very, very angry.

Robin, my cousin, who I am very close to just got back from Iraq in October. He got home one week before his first son was born. I just saw him at Christmas and he was saying the same thing! He lost a member of his battalion there and feels the same way as your Dh, that there is unfinished business there. I am a Navy brat myself and I do understand the mentality behind all of it, but I think you are right on to feel the way you do. I would be furious if my DH "volunteered" to go to war when he was not called upon to do so.

Bengalbelle- I’m sorry your DD is having so many digestive issues! Olivia had terrible reflux for her first few months, and she was breastfeeding the whole time.

Joats- aww, I hope your enjoying all the kisses! I love when little guys are still young enough to give kisses freely. Everytime I see my DBro I tell him “gimme some sugar!” and he’ll kiss me on both cheeks. I’m dreading the day he’ll just run away.
I haven’t seen a whole episode of ChooChoo Soul. DH has labeled the girl on there “really hot” though.

Jill- Oh yeah, Teletubbies is still on. DBro HATES them, because sometimes my dad will turn them on when it’s nap time, and they put him to sleep. He thinks Teletubbies and ****ahs are a threat!

Alice- DBro wouldn’t say my name for the longest time either. He said DH’s name first out of all the names in my family and then started saying each one until it was just mine he wouldn’t say. It kind of became a running gag. Then one day he slipped and said it and we realized that he’d caught onto the gag and was deliberately not saying it. The little stinker!
Oh I’d want to slap your DH silly for wanting to volunteer to go back to Iraq.

Justhat- I’m hoping to get to Target tomorrow too, but we’ll see. DH will be home, and he hates shopping. Olivia is also wearing size three diapers. She went through the other sizes pretty quickly, but it looks like she’ll be in the 3s longer. I know what you mean though. I put her in one of the hand-me-down pajamas tonight that my sister used to wear, and I remember her fitting in them when she was like 18 months, but Olivia’s not even nine months!

GLT- So glad that you made it home safely and that the kids had a good Christmas. I forgot to mention it earlier, but Olivia was also TERRIFIED of Santa. DH’s uncle dressed up like Santa last weekend for the kids, and she went hysterical as soon as he walked in the door. So we don’t even have any pictures of her with Santa. We had to keep her in the kitchen.

Zalansky- Cute birthday party pics.

Bella- Happy Baptism for Bailey!

Well, I feel like I didn’t get a terrible lot accomplished today, but I did finally catch up with the laundry. At least all the laundry is done and folded and just has to be put away. I’m afraid I need to go through Olivia’s clothing again and put away some things she’s outgrown. I’m also debating whether I want to return one of her winter coats or ebay it. She already had winter coats in her size and got TWO more for Christmas.

We’re having brunch with my in-laws tomorrow and then doing some shopping/chores during the afternoon. We decided to go to my mom’s house for NY Eve after all, though I’m not sure if we’re going to sleep there or not. I’m getting excited about dressing Olivia up as the new year’s baby though. Hehehehe! Any excuse to put that kid in a gimmicky costume!

If I don’t make it on tomorrow, have a great new year everyone.
(as if I’ll go a whole day without making it on here

Hi ladies! I want to wish everyone a very happy new year (though I'll probably be back on later). The party we were supposed to go to was cancelled because my aunt is not feeling well. That is fine with me since I wasn't looking forward to trying to get Aidan to sleep there. I'm just concerned for my aunt now.

We took the kids out to a hibachi restaurant (courtesy of my Dad's Christmas money for us) and to Build-a-bear to use the kids' gift cards. Emmy had a meltdown in the mall (yes, she is 11 and still has meltdowns :sad2: ).

Robin - I think I would be in total shock if your DH went back to Iraq. I think your family sacrificed more than enough. Emily saw a soldier on tv saying hello to his family since he couldn't be with them and she was hit with the reality of the fact that so many children have to spend the holidays without one or both parents. She was so upset! I don't want to have to see you go through that again.

Z - That party looks like so much fun!!! I really want to play on that slide! My friends and I have been hit with bills like that for kid parties many times. I am trying to avoid that this year. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and have the party at home.

bellacam - What beautiful pictures. Congratulations on Bailey's baptism. You have a beautiful family!

GLT - What great pictures! The kids are so cute!!

Justhat - Henry sounds like a big boy like Aidan. Aidan has been in size 6 diapers for sevral months now. I don't know what I'll do if he outgrows them! My doctor keeps joking that I'll have to put him in Depends soon  . It was funny the first time, but he's made that joke at least a dozen times now.

Well, I better get myself moving. I'm hoping to catch a movie with the kids today. I think they are only $4 if you go to the first show at AMC. Hi to all the moms I missed!

Agh! I had a reply all typed up, but Leif decided to stick his arm on the laptop, well, you know the rest...

bellacam - great pics! What a great family. Glad the dual baptism went well!

cabmom - great to see you! Cute about Dean walking!

Robin - hugs to you.:grouphug: I can't imagine the stress dh is putting you through on his wishes. I wish you and your family the best and hope he stays there by your side.

Zalansky - love the pics, you look great! Glad you were able to get out and have some fun. It's hard to plan a party on the heels of Christmas (as we have that too) and then with the additional stress you have, I hope you are hanging in there.

GM - do you have your trip report posted? I'd love to take a look!

tigerbelle - welcome! DS went through the whole alimentum thing (I nursed and had to give up all milk, but quit around 6/7 months). Shortly after his first b'day he could eat icecream and was fine. Good luck and hang in there:wizard:

Can I tell you ladies, I didn't even realize it was NY Eve until reading these posts. I have no plans, obviously. But sometimes that's a good thing.

ETA - Diskim - sorry to hear about Emmy's meltdown. We too went to a hibachi place last week, courtesy of my parents. YUM!

Joats - I was wrong, it's not after Little Einsteins, it's after Higglytown Heros. Or at least it was today and I think that's when we saw it this summer cause we left for camp by 8:45 every morning so it definitely wasn't the one after MMC.

GLT - Welcome back and I'm glad your kids had a great Christmas. Your father looks truly happy reading that story with your kids and I agree that your daughter looks a lot like him.

DisKim - We get a lot of comments about how huge Henry is and what kind of annoys me about it is that people love to compare him with Madison and she's not so thrilled about that. Granted they don't know that, but everytime someone points out how little she was/is she's very quick to defend herself as a "big girl". Of course, now that I have him I can't believe that Madison was his size when she was 9 months old cause he just seems normal size now.

Oh, and I was hoping the end of meltdowns was in my future but I guess that hope is gone!

Ginamarie - My husband hates shopping too and I actually much prefer going without him. I enjoy the company, but not the constant bored looks, comments on how much I'm spending, how we don't need this or that, etc. Today though I think I might wait for him to come home if he does indeed get out at noon cause I'm just not feeling up to taking both kids out myself. He can either come or stay home with Madison. I wish he'd keep both kids, but it would mean I'd have to pump for Henry cause he just will not take formula without gagging and vomiting. Hmm, now that I say that I wonder if he's got some intolerance after all the discussion on it.

Bellacam - Great photos! I'm so happy for you that Bailey is feeling better and was able to be baptized with her cousin. The dress is beautiful and I think that's so nice that it was able to be passed on like that.

Zalansky - Connor's party looks like it was a lot of fun! Now you've really got me wishing we had one around here.

Cabmom - Congrats to Dean for walking!! I hope things work out and you can make the meet in 2008.

Robin - I'm still in shock that your husband thought a major decision like that would be fine to make without you. I totally understand his thoughts cause my dad was like that too, but as important and going back there may seem to him, leaving you with 3 kids is not exactly ideal either. My husband is the same way though, thinking huge life changes aren't so huge or at least okay.

I hear Henry rousing from his nap so I'm on borrowed time now. I finally gave up trying to get him to nap on what I think is a good nap schedule and I just stick him in his bed every time he's sleepy. It ends up being 2 morning naps around 30-45 minutes, then a 1.5 hour afternoon nap, then another 30 minute nap before bed. I wish he'd consolidate the morning naps since they're only about an hour apart, but whatever. Right now I'm more concerned with the fact that he has still been waking up at night since our trip. I just can't start waking up twice a night again so that needs to end soon. He'll be starting cereal this week so maybe that will help keep him full at night. Well now I hear him talking so I guess he's definitely up.

justhat - They're all different so hopefully Madison won't follow in Emmy's footsteps. The interesting thing I've noticed about my kids as they grow older though is that the way they were as babies and toddlers is still reflected in their personalities. Emmy always had a tendency to throw tantrums and she still gets emotional and worked up. Alex was always my "easy, laid-back" kid and he still is. He is smart enough to follow the rules and avoid trouble. I rarely have to punish him. Aidan, well....we'll see.

I think we decided to hit the boardwalk today for First Night. We went when I was pregnant with Aidan and it was a lot of fun. There are fireworks at 5:30 which is just great for the kids. Then, we can come home, snuggle, watch movies and eat snacks. I'm such a party animal  . Of course, if we are going to go then I better get off this computer and get moving. It starts at 11 am! We're planning on going late though so the dog is not alone for too long. Besides, I don't know how Aidan will be.

On a side note, the kids are calling me "grandma" in reference to the puppy. I am not very happy about this  . I don't want to be called that for quite some time. It's disturbing.

Good morning ladies!

Bellacam - Your pictures are wonderful! You have such a beautiful family! I'm so glad to hear that Bailey is doing better and congrats on her Baptism!

GLT - Welcome back! I love all of your Christmas pictures and btw, I think you look great.

Z - The pictures from Connor's party look like a lot of fun. That would be great if there was a place like that around here.

Ginamarie - Too funny about your little brother not saying your name on purpose. ;) Kids sure are funny! Have fun tonight at your moms!

DisKim - Have a great time today at the First Night celebration. I agree with you that it is always interesting to see how different our kids personalities are. The girls still have many of their personality traits that they had a toddlers. Thankfully, they were easy going but I have notice that as Meagan approaches puberty she is getting a little bit more emotional.

Robin - Wow, I hope that your dh doesn't volunteer to go back to Iraq. He's already served his country by going once. My dad did two tours in Vietnam but I was a baby and don't remember it. He was pretty dedicated just like your dh. And, yes, the SOG overflow rates aren't as good as they used to be. We went a few years ago on an overflow rate and it was better than our AP rates. On this last trip, the rate was ok. Good luck with everything!

Cabmom - Congrats on Dean walking! I hope that you can make the mom's group meet. Maybe your work situation will be totally different in the next here. Keep my fingers crossed for you that you can come.

Justhat - I hope that Henry naps for you so you can get some rest!

I need to get going and run to the grocery store so I can make a fruit salad for our get together today. We are going to get together with some old college friends this afternoon. I always have fun seeing them and we actually went with all of them to Disney in 2003. That was a fun trip! I know that they want to all go back to the World this year as a group, but sadly we need to sit this one out.

Hi to all the moms! Do you all have any New Year's Resolutions? :)

Wow! I've certainly missed a lot. I'm sorry its been so long since I've posted, but its been very hectic here.

DH is still sick. He's been out of work since 11/29/06. They still don't know for sure what is causing his dizziness. He's been on a diet for awhile and he's lost some weight. He was told that his MRA was clean. Now, they are focusing on his thyroid. They said it looks abnormal. He had an appointment scheduled for a Neurologist on January 3. His doctor cancelled that after they discovered his thyroid problem. Now, they have him scheduled to see an Ear, Nose, Throat Specialist on January 11. He's tried to file a claim for short term disability benefits, but the HR Dept. at Busch Gardens hasn't sent in the appropriate paperwork needed, so they closed his claim. I'm the only one in the house working right now, so I've been really stressed. Plus, I'm having to drive everyone everwhere.

I'm about a month and a half away from having our second son. After my OB appt on January 11, I'll be going every week! Its getting close!

This was the first Christmas that our one year was able to participate. He enjoyed it. We celebrated with DH's family on December 24, then celebrated with my mom on December 25. By the time we got to my mom's house, the only thing he wanted to do was pull the bows off the presents and play with them. I just think he was overwhelmed. Between his first birthday at the beginning of the month, then having to celebrate two Christmases.....he was exhausted.

I hope all you mommies had great Christmases!

Happy New Year's Eve! party:

DH and I ended up making a DVD for my uncle for his 60th bday. We photoshopped his head on various bodies and made a "life story" based on events in history since he's been alive. Kind of Forrest Gump-ish. It's hilarious if I do say so myself. I can't wait to show it to everyone tonight. After the bday part, we'll probably leave and watch the ball drop at home. I know my family is getting critical of all the toddlers running around touching their TVs and climbing on their furniture so I want to take Lucas out of the equation as soon as possible. My sister is going with the twins but her DH won't be there b/c his band has a gig so I know her kids will be extra rowdy since her DH is the one who chases them all over at family parties.

glt - Thanks for sharing your pictures! I'm glad everyone had a nice Christmas. Laine's face in the Santa picture is cracking me up!

bellacam - I love the baptism pictures. The christening gown is gorgeous.

nyprincess - Sorry your DH is still sick. I hope they can figure something out.

bengalbelle - Sorry your DD has a milk allergy. One of my nephews does and he was on a lactose-free formula. Now he's one so he on Lactaid instead of real milk.

cabmom - Congrats on Dean walking! :cool1:

I don't think I'll be able to make the meet, either. That is, as long as I'm still in school. My summer break doesn't start until July.

zalansky - Great pics of the birthday party!

ginamarie - Hope you get a picture of Olivia as Baby New Year!

Hi to joats, val, Tasha, lissawynn, DisKim, alice28, DisneyPhD, J&D, floridafam, justhat, dizagain, fabumouse, BnB, llij, and anyone else I may have missed. Happy New Year!

NYPrincess- I'm so sorry your DH is still not feeling well and is out of work. I know how stressful that is. I hope he is able to get the claim form from his work ASAP and that you have a relatively calm remainder of your pregnancy.:grouphug:

Bridget- those pictures are wonderful! What a handsome family you have~ the christening gown for Bailey is gorgeous.

Z- yes, that place looks exactly like the JJ Jump place near our house- great fun! I was a little nervous to play on it cause of my one knee that's so easily knocked out of joint, but man did the kids have fun. And you are right, they were quite tired by party's end!

Kim- Uh-oh on what you said about how Emmy has always been a bit high-strung. That's how Joshua has been since practically Day 1....he's grown out of it somewhat, but I don't look forward to fits he may throw when he's 11. I guess I will just cross that bridge when I come to it. Molly's personality seems more similar to Sam's than Josh's (phew).

Ha-ha (dryly said) about the grandma to the doggy. I wouldn't be too thrilled with that title either.

SL- that video you made for your Uncle sounds priceless!

Regarding my DH- I couldn't believe he asked about going again without talking to me first either. I mean, I highly doubt he would have signed any papers, but he just goes on about how sometimes there are bigger things in life that we need to be accountable for, and it's good for our kids (the boys) to see Daddy serving our country, etc. I get his point, but I still don't totally agree with it. And like I said, the group that is going didn't need any more of his rank, so it's a moot point. He does get to go to Honduras for his two weeks active duty this year, so he's excited about that. He has to get a passport, as his expired years ago.

Well, I need to get dressed and get Molly dressed as we need to run to the grocery store and then come home and put it away and head out to the mall to spend DH's gift card. I will try and remember to pop in Victoria's Secret to look for the jammies FF.

Hi Mommies! I just had alot of pages to read and it's only been a few days! No way I can respond to everything/everyone...

glt - welcome home! SO glad your family had a Merry Christmas - wonderful pictures!

zalansky - glad Connor's birthday party was a success. Sorry it was so $$ but at least you got to walk away from the mess!

robin - GRRR to you DH for not talking with you first. Hoping he stays home - that must be very difficult for both of you for different reasons.

joats - I was thinking of you as I took my tree down - glad to hear you got rid of the bug-tree!

nyprincess - sorry to hear your DH is still having health/work issues. Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancy - take care!

jill - I meant to congratulate you earlier on your paper and professor's comment!!!

diskim - glad puppy's doing ok. Sorry Emily was a pill at the mall - I know how that is. DH and I were just wondering yesterday if Hannah will EVER settle down...probably not. Way to go on the CC score!!!

ginamarie - glad Olivia's settling back down - I'm sure she'll be a most adorable Baby New Year! Carson has decided he will not go to sleep nicely EVER and it's killing us!

lissawynn - glad to hear most of the work is done and you're settling in!

gems - thinking about you...not much longer!

fab - are you there?

bellacam - gorgeous pics of the christening!

OK, I told you I wouldn't get to catch up properly! Need to go finish up some laundry while Carson takes his mini-nap. I have to tell you moms of little bitty ones that we got the Playskool Play Dome for Christmas and finally got it set up yesterday - it is very cool and he LOVES the thing!! Plus I think it will be used for a year or two which is nice.

I know I have never posted a pic of myself before and I wish I had...I am in this strange mood and want to cut off my hair REALLY short which I have never done. It has always been in long layers and has gone between just above and just below my shoulders. Problem is I have really thick wavy hair and I am scared I'd end up with a football helmet unless I went "boy" short. But I have been thinking about this for a week and it's not going away..

Hope everyone has a wonderful safe New Year's Eve! We join most of you in staying home to play board games and gorge on snacks. DH actually bought champagne so if I drink any I'll be OUT pretty soon after!!

Hi Ladies,

I'm just catching up today. Yesterday I drove to MD to visit a friend who was in from California - and I was brave and took the kids by myself. The drive down wasn't bad but coming homw (it was about 3.5 hours each way) was a little rough. I know i'm a wimp, but I don't think I could ever do the 17 hour drive to WDW from NJ with the kids at this age. I get very anxious being in the car with them for long car rides and I have to admit I also like to fly.

Tamie - I've had a Brazilian wax done, and the regular wax also. Quite honestly, the Braz. wax did hurt a lot, and unless there is a reason why you'd not want to have not one speck of hair i'd say you should just get the regular one. Paying the $25 for the regular wax is enough for me and personally I like to have it done in the summer for my own comfort level. My only advice would be to get it done late in the day, go home, and (TMI ALERT) take off your underwear for bed and put on some sweats or something. Sometimes your underwear can chaffe the area. I also recommend using a 1% hydrocortizone cream the first day. By day # 2 you'll be good to go.

Anyway, I think it was DisKim who posted that Coldwater Creek dress but I just bought one too!!! I think we should all bring them along to our Mom's meet in 2008 - wouldn't that be a riot?

Loretta - YIKES on the $$$ for the birthday Party. I'm sure Connor had a great time but that is outrageous! A few years ago I wanted to venture out on my own and open up a place like that for birthday parties. If i'd only done it then i'd maybe be a millionaire now ;) . Thanks for sharing the picture of you and your sisters. You all do look a lot alike.

Alice - Sorry to hear about the pool being done at WL. We had almost decided to stay there (the week after you) but we're renting points at BCV that week.

We're mid-post christmas cleaning and I just had a few moments to sneak away (and order a dress too ;) ). I'll do a proper post tomorrow on my day off. My New years plans are cancelled, my best friend has strep throat, so we're just going to go out to eat (at 4:00) to Chili's and spend a quiet night at home. I may not even make it up until Midnight.

Happy New Year everyone!!! Talk with everyone tomorrow!
