Ok ladies, here is my druken photo. My BIL was messing with my hair, hence the lovely hairstyle, but the face is priceless. Hmmmm, maybe I should go have some more Kir Royales! Thank God I can laugh at myself! Enjoy!

Hey Everyone!

The other four members of my family are upstairs on my bed watching tv and trying to hold Carson together for just a little longer so he can eat and go to bed. Hopefully they can handle things for a few minutes. I'm so darn tired and as Robin said, I'm tired of Christmas stuff...I'm one of those who thinks "when it's over, it's OVER". I LOVED it, but it's time to move on. Fortunately (well, sort of), we have a person doing a market analysis on the house at 9 tomorrow, so I made everyone take all their stuff and put it away tonight.

zalansky - omg...you are TOO funny!!!!:rotfl2:

joats - cute pics! We just may have to look into that train next year....hint to Grandma!

BnB - glad you enjoyed your Cranium game. Like you guys, I'm sure, we got about 5 new games and Hayley is a game-a-holic. I really enjoy them too, but with Carson around it's tough - DH can't stand board games, so it's up to me. We played Balderdash today and haven't tried Apples to Apples yet.

robin - adorable pics!! I would kill for 10 hours of sleep! Are you mapping out how to spend your spa $$ yet? Good luck with the weight loss! I should really be doing it too - I looked at a picture of myself from yesterday and about died.

val - glad you got your meds and hope you finally feel better!

tykes - sounds like a great Christmas at your house!

sl - Hope you ended up with some $$ today!

GRRRR...I'm being summoned as Carson is falling to absolute pieces. Be back soon hopefully to finish!

OK...I'm back - DH is feeding the boy. Looking forward to a "fun" night...Carson is suddenly not sleeping on his own. Like he won't sleep without a body touching him. At nap time (what there is of it) I roll up a t-shirt of mine and put it next to him and he turns his face into it. SO, last night we let him cry it out for AN HOUR!!!! He's in our room until we move so I'd go over to him every 10 minutes and pat him and talk to him...I was crying almost as hard as he was. But he finally started to calm so I picked him up and he passed out in like 1 minute- -I put him in his bed and he stayed there until 5:30 a.m. I'm expecting more of the same tonight. We never did this with the girls but Hannah STILL gets in bed with her sister after finally leaving us alone about a year ago so we don't want to get into that situation again.

Now I've lost the posts I was going to respond to...oh well. Hope the "W" game folks do well!!! Hope the WDW visitors are having an absolute BLAST! Hi to everyone - don't forget the Bath and Body Works 3-day sale starts tomorrow!

do you mind? :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 :lmao: :rotfl: :hippie:

Oh Loretta! I love that you can laugh at yourself, I'm laughing with you! You are a riot!! :rotfl:

joats - Jace is sooo cute! I love the train, it looks like he's having a blast. LOL about the kissing Elmo when it's all done. That's cute.

robin - Molly is adorable in her dress up stuff. The heals are hilarious!! Good luck on the weight loss. I wasn't as bad as I thought when I got on the scale this morning, but it's only 3 more weeks until Mexico!

bnb - The spelling backwards on Cranium makes me so nervous! I over think it.

val - Oh no, sorry about the pills. I hate horse pills! I hope they help you though and you feel better soon!

I'm off to do some research on Cozumel. We booked a dolphin experience that I'm excited about and the guys booked some tee-times. Now us girls need to decide on what spa services we want.

Tamie

LORETTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: I love ya! You are a crack up and a half. We gotta get a Lapu Lapu or two in you when we meet up in March! :thumbsup2

I am in ebay h*ll.

I saw they have .15 listings tomorrow, and I had a HUGE garbage bag stuffed to the gills in Molly's closet that I knew needed to be listed. So I ironed, took pictures and wrote up descriptions tonight. Whoa. I am tired! That girl had a lot of clothes last spring and summer, and a LOT of it had to go to Goodwill, as it was stained. I hope to score at *least* $100, hopefully closer to $200, as that's about what I charged on my Amex for DH's gifts. I'd like to pay off that balance without dipping in our checking account. Send pixie dust to the ebay gods that my stuff will go for good prices. I think I must have about 40-45 pieces of clothing up for auction, so we shall see.

Z- my husband thinks you are the coolest- he likes people who can poke fun at themselves. He suggested we all meet for a drink (our girl's night) at the SOG bar first, so we can get tipsy for cheap (they charge nice and regular prices for food and drink at SOG, no Disney inflation ;) ), and then walk (stagger, skip, whatever) over to the Poly for our fru-fru drink. I thought that was a good idea!

Tamie- wow, a dolphin experience! That will be so cool!

Diz- I am so going to BABW tomorrow morning. I have put aside about $20 for that, as I don't need much. And I need to stop at Gymbo to see if I can find some cheap socks for my boys. They are having good sales, that is if your store has leftover stuff from the summer and early fall. I don't plan on buying much there, unless they have stuff for $3 or $5.

I have been plotting out my spa money- I will spend $125 this Saturday on my uber massage & pedi. So that leaves me with $375. I can get the ultimate pedicure and the 30 minute massage for $95; then I will buy a $5 nail polish cause if you spend a $100, they almost always have a $25 off coupon on their website. So I figure I can do that 5 times! Or I can do that 3 times, and I might splurge on the hot rock massage once- I really have wanted to try that. It's $145 ($120 with the coupon) - pricey, but I bet it's dreamy. Either way, at least once a month from now til Disney I can have a couple hours of Robin time and it's just so exciting! I'm not that into facials- have had them twice, and while nice, it doesn't seem to do much for my skin. I usually have pretty nice skin on my face. I plan on making the most of my spa times too, and make sure DH knows NOT to call me, and to pad on an extra hour so I can go to Borders, Crate & Barrel, the Container Store, etc (all shops in the same center) for awhile afterwards, just to browse and decompress. MIL had her massage and pedi tonight- I hope she really enjoyed it. She can drive me CRAZY with her money comments.

Case in point- she saw an Elmo laughing chair at Target today. But she thought $29 was outrageous. But she really wanted to get it for Molly (this is a woman with no money problems, believe you-me). So she said, "well, if you give me the $10 gift card Bill gave her (that's my BIL), I suppose could get it. I wanted to f-ing scream or at least roll my eyes at her. I did (not scream, I gave her the giftcard), and then she said, "But what about the boys? Won't they be jealous?" I said, "No- they aren't like that....besides, you just got Molly the Elmo for Christmas and spent $20-30 more on their gifts anyways- just tell them that if they say anything". Of course they said nothing, because my kids aren't really about the 'that's not fair, he got something and I didn't.' They know it all evens out in the end. I feel like she can rarely spend money on my kids without having to say something about how pricey or junky or silly or submit your adjective here the thing she is buying is.....

She complimented Molly on her cute (Gymbo of course) outfit today and said, "I always am so tempted to buy her clothes, but I don't, because it's really only pleasing me....she doesn't care!" And I thought, "well, yeah, but isn't it FUN? Don't you want to do it anyway because it's FUN to do that?" My MIL was raised a minister's daughter, and she's very, VERY cheap in a lot of ways that is almost comical. Cause she doesn't need to be. And she has a hard time letting go of her reservedness about things and just doing something for the heck of it- she just can't seem to do that and it drives DH and I nutty.

ANYWAY, she's just kinda funny I guess. I think she might take the boys to a movie or something tomorrow, so that will be nice for me. Then we're going to head to the outlets on Thursday or Friday. I want to check out the Gymboree down there as that turtle line they had last Jan or so is now in the outlets. That was a cute one (and I'm selling the dress on ebay tomorrow!). I also got my Gap $10 rewards, but I swear I didn't spend $200 there since I got that card in Sept.....I think I must have gotten double points on a purchase, or now that I think about it, they said something about 100 points for giving them my email, cause I think I have only spent $80 or so there. I hope to find a cute Valentine's top or something for Molly there.

OH- no more WPASADI for my team....we were eliminated. So was Jen's team. :sad2: I'm not too bummed- it was a lot of work, and we realized as a team tonight that even though the website design was NOT supposed to be a part of the judging, it looks like it was....I'm not trying to sound like sour grapes, but no one else's boat seemed any better than ours, but their websites sure were jazzier. That bites. Oh well, I comfort myself with the fact I get to go to Disney in 82 days anyway! My dad joked last night, "So, when will you have your bday list available?" (When I was a kid I would have my list ready about 2 weeks after Christmas- yeah, my bday is in April :rolleyes1 ). I just laughed and my mom said, "This is what she'll do at Disney--- 'Oh, and I want this for my birthday, and this, and this, oh, and THIS!" I said, "Mom- that's a fantastic idea! Bring an empty suitcase!"

Nightie Night all!

Good morning moms. I did leave work yesterday with some, but not all, of my money. One of the bosses cut me a check to cover the actual paycheck but still owes me. That payroll guy (he's actually one of the bosses, too - he's payroll/HR/COO/whatthehellever) never bothered to apologize, or even say one word to me for that matter. When there are only 6 people in the office like yesterday, you tend to notice these things.

I'm off today, as is DH, so we're probably going to return a bunch of things and hit the mall.

zalansky - You are a riot! Love the picture!

tkyes - I have to go through Lucas's things and clear out all the baby toys. I need to do that with his clothes too. I've been shoving things in his closet but it's starting to get where I can't open the door without something falling out.

val - Hope the antibiotics kick in soon.

alice28 - Cute pictures of Molly!

BnB - I found myself surprisingly good at spelling backwards, too. I'm not so good with the clay.

joats - Great pictures! That train looks so cool.

gm - Can't wait to read your trip report.

dizagain - Hope Carson starts sleeping better.

alice28, J&D - Sorry your wasabi teams didn't make it. GM - Congrats on yours!

Good morning mom's!

Loretta - OMG - you are a complete riot! That picture is so funny, thanks for sharing it.

Joats - That picture of Jace with Santa is so funny - how adorable. I'm sure he'll get a kick out of that picture when he's older. That train is just the coolest thing. My oldest son loved Thomas and would have died for that toy but he's too old for it now. He looks like he's having so much fun riding it!

Tamie - Now is a great time to box up old toys and put them away. We did that a few weeks ago (although you can hardly tell now) and we'll get rid of some in the spring with our town-wide sale. I did throw out a few bags of toys, but they were the smaller things or Happy Meal toys and things like that. Glad your family had a nice Christmas.

Dizagain - I completely agree with you - when Christmas is over - I like it to be over also! I'd love to get rid of the tree but i'll keep it up for a few more days. Between the baby and the cat, the tree has about had it, and the pine needles are falling off of it now like crazy. Sorry to hear Carson is having such a hard time in the evenings. :grouphug:

Alice - That picture of Molly in her heels and diaper is adorable! :) She looks like she's having such a great time! Good luck with your weight loss (and especially for DH). It's hard this time of year but it should get easier once the holidays are over. Good luck with your Ebay sales.

SL - that stinks about your paycheck. Glad to hear it's getting resolved. You need to be the squeeky wheel though because when it comes to payroll, those are the items that are taken care of the fastest. Hope you have a nice day off today.

Ginamarie - welcome back! I'll read your trip report soon. Hope you had a great time!

Buzznbelle - is that game "Family Fun"? My son got that game, and he's still a little young to play it and have it keep his attention, but we played it (DH was on both teams) and it's fun. We had to spell some words backwards that's why it made me think it was the same game. We also love Hullaballoo, and we also got Whoonu as a gift.

Hi to all the other mommies I may have missed.

I'm a little down today - i've had two "friend" issues come up recently and it's kind of taking its toll on me. The first one wasn't such a big deal - but an old friend of mine who I had a falling out with close to 8 years ago sent my father a christmas card again this year (she does it on purpose). My dad moved but he got the card forwarded and he just had to bring it to Christmas Eve at my Brother's house to show me. . This friend and I were very close but she didn't like my Maid of honor and we ended up losing our friendship the week after my wedding over money issues with this friend not giving her share to my shower, gift, etc. Anyway - it just bothers me to no end she keeps up this facade of sending my family christmas cards with her kids on it and a note. I wish I could just tell her off, but my Dad is just clueless. The second one is more difficult because it involves a friendship at work that has rapidly deteriorated. I don't want to get into the specifics of it but lets just say that i've become her doormat and she talks to me like i'm 5. I've tried to confront her about it but after a week of things being ok they seem to go back to how they were. I honestly don't think she even knows that what she's doing and saying to me is so insulting. What makes it worse is that I now report to her. I've thought about changing jobs for other issues (long commute, long hours, etc) however this may end up being something that changes things for good. We'll see.

Thanks for letting me vent - I feel better just getting this out.

Have a good day ladies.

Loretta - You gave my my laugh for the day :rotfl2: :rotfl: ! That picture is priceless!

Robin - Molly is so cute in her heels. She looks so grown up playing dress up!

Hillbeans - I'm sorry about your friend problems. I am very fortunate that my current friends and I have been buddies for 10 years. There are 4 of us and we have never had a falling out. Before I met these women through work, I tended to keep my distance from people because I don't have time or patience for that sort of thing. Your old friend is so wrong to hold something like that against you. I would just tell the friend from work to bug off and that you don't have time for such nonsense. :grouphug:

joats - The pictures of Jace are precious! He is so cute on his train. I love the VB bag. I got DH sirius so he could listen to Stern too but we are having a lot of problems with static. I'm getting annoyed and ready to take the thing back. How do you listen to it at home? Do you have to have the boombox. I had no idea what the heck I was buying.

I still have to post pictures of the puppy. I've been preoccupied with my I-pod. I also had to sit down and watch Pirates 2 with the kids  . The puppy is getting on the kids' nerves today. I knew that would happen. Emily is still dedicated to him but Aidan hates him. My cat has taken to him. She pets people she likes. Last night, she was petting the puppy with her paw. It was very cute. OK, I better go. Emily has to go to the orthodontist. Then, I'm hoping that MIL will watch the kids so DH and I can go to Atlantic city. Alex will have to miss Scouts but I don't really care.

Belated Merry Christmas everyone!

We got back on Christmas but things have been very hectic here since our return so it's taken me this long to get on here. Our trip was fun and we did get to see Jill briefly (though by chance as I forgot her info at home). I'll eventually upload some pictures and post them.

I read through some of the thread last night, well, mostly looked at photos, and they're all so adorable! Everyone's kids look so happy on Christmas. We have some pictures too but I haven't uploaded them yet and it might take a couple of days. We did get our Christmas portraits online though. This is the link https://www.thesmilestation.com/home.asp?AC=LTT90101043027TAR and the name is Joseph Bonomolo. Taking them was an absolute nightmare. I don't know how we ended up with them both actually looking and even smiling in some. Pictures with both kids will be few in the future.

Henry's so done in his exersaucer so I'll have to come back later.

Welcome back Justine, Love the photos. I can't wait to hear about your trip.

Hello to all my mommy friends! I feel so out of the loop since I haven't had a chance to really read anything. We had a lovely Christmas here and at DFIL's house. The kids really racked up! The TMX Elmo was a hit--Matthew just stared at it and the adults were rolling on the floor laughing. Emma loves her bike, and will finally get a chance to ride it todayn (since the weather has improved) The train set and table that DFIL bought was also a huge hit.

Z--love the picture!!! I had a couple of those moments while here!

alice--What a wonderful gift! I would love a spa day! Calgon take me away!!

glt--so glad that you guys made it to Ohio!

Well, I better go--DMIL is going to babysit again for us today so DH and I can go spend some Christmas money! Will try to check in later this week!

Morning.

Today is just one of those days where nothing turns out so I am going to get in the shower and start the day over again. I attempted to make blueberry pancakes for myself this morning and they just didn't turn out. UGH!

No plans again today. I just don't feel like shopping. :confused3

DH is getting his bike next Wednesday after a brief delay due to Kona's hernia issue and his mom coming to town.

I'm so glad the kids don't have school for a while. They are enjoying playing with their Christmas goodies and just relaxing.

I CAN'T STOP PLAYING WITH ONE OF DD'S GIFTS. It's a play cash register from Pottery Barn Kids and it is so COOL!

It has a working drawer, scanner, belt, and microphone. I was putting clothes away in the bedroom last night and DH must have said "Mommy, price check aisle 10" about a hundred times. He made fun of me for playing with it and then he couldn't put it down. :rotfl2: Best $20 I've ever spent.

MOMMIES,

The package that I am getting together is going out next week. If you received a PM from me way back when you will know what I am talking about. If you want to take part, please do so by Jan. 1 Thanks:thumbsup2

I am off to clean up:cool1:

Good mornign all! I have a few minutes as Luke is napping and the older three are playing Disney "Scene it". MIL got it for the older two for Christmas, but we find that, with a few hints, Celeste can play well enough to feell like she's contributing to a team, so it's great.

Loretta--Love the pic!

Justine-- I can so relate to how tricky it is to get the kids looking decent in photos. That's why this last round, I bought the biggest photo package--I actually had all 4 kids looking decent in not one, but two photos! When is that going to happen again? And nobody needed a haircut, had marks on their clothes, had cuts or bruises on their faces, and so forth. It was like the planets aligned for that one photo shoot!

Kim--I'm dying to see your puppy photos. Robert got Pirates 2 also, but I didn't get to see it--I opted for a nap instead. He got the one from Wal-Mart with the bonus CD of pirate songs. Then Celeste got the new Little People pirate ship, so she can duel with Robert and his older model ship. So, I'm pretty "pirated" out, but nobody else is!

dizagain--Apples to Apples is a real fun game, too. We took the blank cards they include, and made each one a memeber of our family. So, if the adjective is "Adorable", and you have the "Luke" card, you're golden! Definitely a good game for a variety of ages.

Hillary--We were playing "Cranium", but really, my kids like all the games by that company. I'm a terrible oral speller, which is why I scratch my head that Robert is so darn good at it. But it's nice to have things the whole family can participate in. I managed to avoid the clay--not my thing.

Tamie--We did a dolphin thing in Jamaica, when Celeste was 17 months, and she didn't care for it at all. The platform we stood on was ~1 foot under the water, and when the dolphin splashed us, that was the end for her. Just a warning. The older kids (7 and 9 at the time) were fine with it. And when we went to a similar thing in Cozumel on the Disney Cruise (this would have been 1/03, my older two would have been 5 and 7), you stood on a platform ~3 feet under water. That particular day, it was choppy and we had to hold the kids while standing on the platform--it was fun, but afterwards, the kids just wanted to go back to the ship. The whole thing was too much for them. I don't mean to rain on your parade at all, just wanted to let you know what our experience was. Not sorry I did either, you just never know with kids.

Robin--Love your idea of planning out your spa treatments to maximize your experience. At least DH can't think you don't like your gift! Sorry about the WPSADI elimination--see I TOLD you that your ship needed the self-serve funnel cake bar!

Well, DH is in the dog house with me right now. This is pretty rare, he's overall a great guy. But, he's been off the past 4 days. We had agreed upfront that he would use this time to help Luke sleep through the night, by getting him back to sleep without giving him to me to nurse. Well, you know the punch line, he never did, and I'm not going to argue at 2 am when he's already handed me the kid. Then, last night, Luke woke up screaming at midnight. DH isn't in bed yet--the bum was down on the computer still, and he has to get up at 5 am to go to work! Now, I'm sure he lost track of time while doing genealogy stuff, but he can be tired for that and not to help his wife get a decent night's sleep when my body has been supporting this kid for 19 months now? Grrrr...

Oh Dear! I received a call from dd last night. Her good friend (lives in same military housing) who had baby on Thanksgiving ....was flying out with dd and dh to Indiana, and 30 miles out , their baby started to seizure! (doctor on board). Plane turned around and they were rushed to hospital. I don't have any update. Think good thoughts for this little Brielle

Good Morning Mommies! Merry Belated Christmas! Dh and I managed to pull Christmas together by the skin of our teeth. We did ALL our shopping on 12-24 and it took 8 hours! Bailey is doing much better and seems to be over the worst of the RSV. We are still dealing with the GERD but seem to have it under control mostly. I am so glad you all had wonderful Christmases and i hope to be able to keep up more. If I don't get back on before, Have a Very Happy New Year!!!!!

Hermosa - as I said in the PM and the email, I hope the baby will be okay. Prayers to the babies family.

Bella- Nice to hear that Bailey is doing better.

Diskim - Love the pictures, the dog is so cute.

I know I missed a lot of people, sorry.

Help!

This child has been crying for over two hours. I think it really hit her that she isn't going back to the old environment. She has been screaming for mommy, daddy and daycare for over two hours. Nothing I do is calming her down. She finally cries herself to sleep only to wake up minutes later and repeat the process. Will she seriously do this all day? How can I put her down for a nap if she is going to do this all day? All advice is welcomed and appreciated. :sad1:

SL- I cant believe the paycheck saga. You would think that at least they’d be really apologetic.

Hillbeans- Sorry about your friend trouble.

Justhat- Welcome back! The Chrristmas portraits are so cute.

DisKim- He is a really cute puppy!

Hermosa- Cute pictures. I hope that baby is ok.

Bella- Glad to hear Bailey is improving.

Icebrat- I’m sorry Tess is having a tough day. Don’t stress too much about getting her on schedule immediately. It’s more important to start implementing a schedule than actually getting it to work in the beginning. She still has a lot of transitioning to do.

Olivia has gotten used to being held all day. I know my mom and grandma are guilty of that! She’s been with me all day today and clingy as usual. She’s in the swing now and (thank goodness) quite happy. I’m going to be so sad when she outgrows the swing. Of course she’s showing no signs of taking her afternoon nap.

Oh, and I got her to try clapping. It’s so cute. She starts of waving one hand around and then brings them together. She doesn’t have the whole flexed out hands thing perfect yet, but I keep cheering for her anyway.

We made it through on WPASADI. I’m glad to be able to keep competing though DH wants to start wearing an “I HATE WPASADI” tee shirt. It takes up a lot of time!! DH and I decided to send out New Years cards, since we missed out on sending Christmas ones. I have to write out the envelopes today while I have some time. IF Olivia will take a nap! At least I cleaned the kitchen and did laundry so far, so it hasn’t been a total waste.
