I am in ebay h*ll.
I saw they have .15 listings tomorrow, and I had a HUGE garbage bag stuffed to the gills in Molly's closet that I knew needed to be listed. So I ironed, took pictures and wrote up descriptions tonight. Whoa. I am tired! That girl had a lot of clothes last spring and summer, and a LOT of it had to go to Goodwill, as it was stained. I hope to score at *least* $100, hopefully closer to $200, as that's about what I charged on my Amex for DH's gifts. I'd like to pay off that balance without dipping in our checking account. Send pixie dust to the ebay gods that my stuff will go for good prices. I think I must have about 40-45 pieces of clothing up for auction, so we shall see.
Z- my husband thinks you are the coolest- he likes people who can poke fun at themselves. He suggested we all meet for a drink (our girl's night) at the SOG bar first, so we can get tipsy for cheap (they charge nice and regular prices for food and drink at SOG, no Disney inflation

), and then walk (stagger, skip, whatever) over to the Poly for our fru-fru drink. I thought that was a good idea!
Tamie- wow, a dolphin experience! That will be so cool!
Diz- I am so going to BABW tomorrow morning. I have put aside about $20 for that, as I don't need much. And I need to stop at Gymbo to see if I can find some cheap socks for my boys. They are having good sales, that is if your store has leftover stuff from the summer and early fall. I don't plan on buying much there, unless they have stuff for $3 or $5.
I have been plotting out my spa money- I will spend $125 this Saturday on my uber massage & pedi. So that leaves me with $375. I can get the ultimate pedicure and the 30 minute massage for $95; then I will buy a $5 nail polish cause if you spend a $100, they almost always have a $25 off coupon on their website. So I figure I can do that 5 times! Or I can do that 3 times, and I might splurge on the hot rock massage once- I really have wanted to try that. It's $145 ($120 with the coupon) - pricey, but I bet it's dreamy. Either way, at least once a month from now til Disney I can have a couple hours of Robin time and it's just so exciting! I'm not that into facials- have had them twice, and while nice, it doesn't seem to do much for my skin. I usually have pretty nice skin on my face. I plan on making the most of my spa times too, and make sure DH knows NOT to call me, and to pad on an extra hour so I can go to Borders, Crate & Barrel, the Container Store, etc (all shops in the same center) for awhile afterwards, just to browse and decompress. MIL had her massage and pedi tonight- I hope she really enjoyed it. She can drive me CRAZY with her money comments.
Case in point- she saw an Elmo laughing chair at Target today. But she thought $29 was outrageous. But she really wanted to get it for Molly (this is a woman with no money problems, believe you-me). So she said, "well, if you give me the $10 gift card Bill gave her (that's my BIL), I suppose could get it. I wanted to f-ing scream or at least roll my eyes at her. I did (not scream, I gave her the giftcard), and then she said, "But what about the boys? Won't they be jealous?" I said, "No- they aren't like that....besides, you just got Molly the Elmo for Christmas and spent $20-30 more on their gifts anyways- just tell them that if they say anything". Of course they said nothing, because my kids aren't really about the 'that's not fair, he got something and I didn't.' They know it all evens out in the end. I feel like she can rarely spend money on my kids without having to say something about how pricey or junky or silly or submit your adjective here the thing she is buying is.....
She complimented Molly on her cute (Gymbo of course) outfit today and said, "I always am so tempted to buy her clothes, but I don't, because it's really only pleasing me....she doesn't care!" And I thought, "well, yeah, but isn't it FUN? Don't you want to do it anyway because it's FUN to do that?" My MIL was raised a minister's daughter, and she's very, VERY cheap in a lot of ways that is almost comical. Cause she doesn't need to be. And she has a hard time letting go of her reservedness about things and just doing something for the heck of it- she just can't seem to do that and it drives DH and I nutty.
ANYWAY, she's just kinda funny I guess. I think she might take the boys to a movie or something tomorrow, so that will be nice for me. Then we're going to head to the outlets on Thursday or Friday. I want to check out the Gymboree down there as that turtle line they had last Jan or so is now in the outlets. That was a cute one (and I'm selling the dress on ebay tomorrow!). I also got my Gap $10 rewards, but I swear I didn't spend $200 there since I got that card in Sept.....I think I must have gotten double points on a purchase, or now that I think about it, they said something about 100 points for giving them my email, cause I think I have only spent $80 or so there. I hope to find a cute Valentine's top or something for Molly there.
OH- no more WPASADI for my team....we were eliminated. So was Jen's team.

I'm not too bummed- it was a lot of work, and we realized as a team tonight that even though the website design was NOT supposed to be a part of the judging, it looks like it was....I'm not trying to sound like sour grapes, but no one else's boat seemed any better than ours, but their websites sure were jazzier. That bites. Oh well, I comfort myself with the fact I get to go to Disney in 82 days anyway! My dad joked last night, "So, when will you have your bday list available?" (When I was a kid I would have my list ready about 2 weeks after Christmas- yeah, my bday is in April

). I just laughed and my mom said, "This is what she'll do at Disney--- 'Oh, and I want this for my birthday, and this, and this, oh, and THIS!" I said, "Mom- that's a fantastic idea! Bring an empty suitcase!"
Nightie Night all!
