nucpharm- Beautiful decorations.

Gems- Cute balloon. Good luck getting the shop.

Alice- Thanks for the update on GLT.

icebrat- Sounds like you had a busy day. You will find the strength to make it through each day. Getting a big hug, kiss, and I Love You at the end of the day will make all the stress well worth it.

floridafam- Glad Kona is feeling better.

fabumouse- Did you go to the meeting?

Hillbeans- Have a good night.

TTFN!

Gemma- that balloon is so neat! And I am very excited for you that Hallmark is wanting to back your store- that is wonderful! I hope Shelby's shots go OK tomorrow. :grouphug:

Fab- Did you go to your neighborhood meeting?

Nuc- your house looks very festive! Glad you found the Christmas music! :thumbsup2 I love Christmas music too. I love the Mickey ornament front and center.

My parents are taking the boys Friday night to spend the night! :cheer2: I didn't even have to ask. They are going to get trees on Saturday for them and us, so I won't be too far behind you super decorators!

Hi Hillary! Glad you made it back OK from PA. :goodvibes

I'm worried about Alisa- I hope things didn't go haywire with her house. And Justine- are you feeling OK now?

Tomorrow is Sam's 9th birthday. And we've already celebrated everything! We went out to dinner, he went to Chuck E Cheese's with his friends. Opened gifts, spent gift cards, etc. I even put Twinkies in his backpack this morning to share TOMORROW, but his teacher thought they were for today. :confused3 Ah, well, maybe I will make his favorite chicken for dinner or something.

It did snow on and off today, but it never stuck to the ground. The wetness on the ground is supposed to freeze over tonight and DH has to be at work tomorrow at 6. He said he's going to take my car (AWD) and bring it back to me midmorning and he'll switch to his truck. Not like I'm going anywhere tomorrow.

I went to Walgreens tonight after dinner just to have 30 minutes of alone time. Did you guys know they make those devilish Cadbury chocolates for christmas now? For years it's just been Easter- the chocolate eggs with the candy shell? (not the gooey Cadbury chicken eggs)....and just my luck they were on sale for $2 a bag. I bought an emergency chocolate stash. That and laundry detergent, dishsoap and some other candies for stocking stuffers for the kids.

I come home - not gone more than 40 minutes as I also popped in Hallmark and put a check in the bank, and DH was spent. He said, "They (the kids) kill me! I'm exhausted!" I didn't even know what to say- I wanted to punch him! He went to bed at 7:20. Whatever.....I think he stopped and had a beer on the way home, but he won't admit it. :sad2: He's also on my 'list' as we agreed he would no longer take pocket cash out of the checking account, nor would he debit gas from it...he gets a work check for his gas and his military money is his pocket money for the month (I'm not a scroogey B- it's more than enough for pocket $, trust me, esp since he doesn't ever buy household type stuff with it). I was looking at the checking acct online today and thought "WTH?" He had debited $100 in 2 days between a tank of gas and some money he needed for work stuff. :furious: Sometimes I honestly wonder why I even bother making a budget, I swear.

Sorry, just had to get that out. I asked him, "Didn't we agree to this, or am I dreaming?" And he said, "Oh, whoops! Did I use the wrong card? I'll get that back to you on Friday...."

Anyway, I am tired too. We stayed up talking til 12:30 or so last night at least- I stopped looking at the clock. It was really nice to have quiet time to talk and stuff, but I was already tired! Then I got up at 7:15 and have been go-go-go all day. I am definitely an 8-9 hour of sleep kind of girl, so I am dragging right now. At least it's almost 8:45 and I can put the kids to bed soon.

Good night everyone!

Good morning. Lucas is going for his flu shot today. DH is taking him alone. :scared1: I'm just kidding - I know they'll be fine. I also told him to have the ped just check Lucas' ears. He's feeling 10X better, but just to rule out an ear infection.

My bosses (the top 2) called me into the office yesterday and gave me my raise. They said they are "meeting my demands" (even though I asked nicely. LOL) Now I'm kicking myself because I've never had to ask for a raise before so I didn't know what to say and I specified an amount (thinking I wouldn't get it and would have to negotiate) and they're giving it to me. I should have said I'd like to discuss it and maybe I could have gotten more. Oh well. I still think it's a decent raise. So we went out to Macaroni Grill to celebrate last night.

floridafam - I'm glad Kona is feeling better. I hope you got some rest.

nucpharm - Your decorations look great! I'll take a picture of mine as soon as we put ornaments on the tree. I like your matching stockings. Ours is a mish mash of different styles and colors, but I think they suit each of us.

tkyes - Lucas doesn't call my DH by his first name, but he does call everything "Joe". LOL - our cat is Joe so whenever he doesn't know the right name, it's Joe.

icebrat - Wow...you've been busy. I hope you are able to find a good preschool. Kindercare has a good reputation. This website might help you find an accredited school if quality is your number one priority: www.naeyc.org

gem - That's awesome that Hallmark is willing to back your store. It'll take off in no time! That bear-in-a-balloon is really nice.

Alice28 - Maybe it's a trip to the spa at the Grand Floridian! That would certainly ease my stress. Thanks for the update on GLT. Happy early birthday to Sam! :dance3:

fabumouse - Did you go to the neighborhood meeting? I got an email from the disboards saying they received my audience member form.

hillbeans - I'm going to tell my sister to start hanging out with your friends. After the marathon 5 hour bday party she had for my nephews, I could use a 1.5 hr party next year.

J&D - I'll have to find a way to fit the icon in my signature. I'm already at the limit and I think my pic of Lucas is actually a little too big. (Shhh...don't tell!) :rolleyes1

Have a great day everyone.

Hi everyone! Thanks for the birthday wishes for Emily! I think she had a good day, but she told my mom she would trade everything for a puppy. She's going to wet herself on Christmas morning! I'm home with Aidan today. He woke up at 4 am burning with fever and screaming his head off. He just started to get up and walk around about an hour ago. He toddled over to the tree and started to take ornaments off. I was never so happy to see him making trouble! He is watching Teletubbies now.

I have to tell you that I can't stand seeing what my home is like in the mornings when I'm normally at work. Emily very nearly missed her bus because DH cannot manage to get himself up, let alone get her up. Alex missed the bus and was late for school because DH can't seem to get it together. He also nearly forgot Alex's lunch. I couldn't do anything because Aidan was on top of me and would scream if I left him. Besides, I'm not normally home in the morning anyway so I figured they had a routine. I was so upset. DH was raised like that by his mother. Now, my kids are going to become the next generation that can't fend for themselves. I need to seriously look into staying home. I need to raise my own family. I get really frustrated by these things.

Robin - Happy Birthday to Sam party: :bday: ! I hope he has a great day! I know what you mean about doing all of the celebrating before the birhday. Emily already had gone to NYC and AG Place and celebrated with the family on Thanksgiving. That didn't leave much for yesterday. Luckily, she got her AG doll in the mail so she was really happy with that.

OK, Aidan is paging me. Sorry I have to go already! Aren't sick kids supposed to nap. Aidan keeps telling me "no".

Hi ladies. I've been feeling rather strange lately and have been sleeping a lot these last few days. I had my drs appointment yesterday, and my iron count is a bit low. I promised to eat more iron-rich foods b/c the supplements would make me miserable. I have been really tired; I can't put my finger on anything specific, though.

I do want to thank Dizagain for the exchange package! Jimmy loves his truck and plays with it all the time. I also love my B&BW soap and kitchen towel. I haven't opened the little package from the Disney Store yet, and I'm not sure if it's a shirt or washcloth.

I hate being back at work. I really wish I could stay home until my maternity leave is up, but I would get no rest with all the construction going on at my house.

I hope you're all having a good day.

J&D- I scheduled the surgery for January 4th. I'm not looking forward to it, but I don't have a choice.

DisKim- I'm sorry Aidan is so sick :(

FloridaFam- How nice to have your DH home this week! I'm really looking forward to our vacation so I can actually spend some time with my DH. I get to see him so rarely these days, and when I do we're busy working on things around the house.

Tykes- My brother used to call my mom by her first name sometimes. That's too funny!

Gems- Great news about the shop! I love the bear in a balloon.

Alice- a self serve Dole Whip machine????? I believe we may be checking that one out while at the Poly!

Hillbeans- I hear you about the birthday parties. They keep making them chinsier and more expensive! A lot of places now don't even offer a cake with their packages, though the price isn't any lower.

SL- Congrats on the raise!

Not too much to report on my end. My job search is not going well. DH emailed me today to complain about our bills, and I realize we're going to be bankrupt by around March if I can't find some kind of source for income. If I had any idea how hard it would be to work part time as an attorney I never would have gone to law school. This is ridiculous! Anyway, time to write up a report from my deposition this morning.

Gems - The balloon is adorable! It really sounds like your business is taking off. You are amazing! I can't imagine doing all of that while being pregnant.

nucpharm - The house looks beautiful! I'll post pictures of mine soon. I have to rearrange some ornaments. Alex puts about 5 on each branch!

Aidan is upstairs fussing. He really needs to sleep but he's all wound up and doesn't want to go down. I was hoping to do some wrapping today but I can't get motivated.

icebrat - I thought of you while I watched a few minutes of The View this morning. It was all about adoption. Don't worry about how you will deal with a two-year-old. You just will. Then, you'll wonder how you ever lived without her  ! Remember, we moms will be here whenever you need help.

lissawynn - Oh, I soooooo know that feeling of wanting to start maternity leave early. The last month or two of work is like torture. Hang in there :grouphug: !

SL - I'm glad to hear Lucas is feeling better!

FF - I'm glad Kona is getting better too!

Hillbeans - I'm one of those who feels 1 1/2 hours is plenty! I'm toying with the idea of combining Aidan and Alex's birthdays and doing them at home this year. Their birthdays are right when we have 2 weddings (one of which we are all in and the other in Florida). We'll be broke so I have to cut corners this year. We did a mad science party at home one year for Emmy with about 20 kids. It was a lot of fun. We set up stations to do experiments and split the kids into groups. My cousins helped so we had one adult/teen to lead each group. My uncle is a pharmacist so we borrowed his white coats. It was really fun.

OK, I think Aidan is finally asleep. I need to get motivated to do something.

Lucas made it through his flu shot with no problems. He didn't even cry. The ped also checked his ears which were all clear (thanks floridafam, for bringing a possible ear infection to my attention). I'm glad we got it checked out though.

DisKim - Good luck with the wrapping. I haven't done any of that either. I'm so unprepared.

ginamarie - Sorry your job search isn't going so well. I hope you find something soon.

lissawynn - Hope you feel better soon.

SL- Congrats on the raise and on Lucas's flu shot going well- that's great!

Alisa- go have a Whopper! ;) Does anything that is high in iron appeal to you? I had a hard time cooking meat with my last two pregnancies, so I ate a lot of hamburgers...the char-grilled kind. Yum. Do you like spinach salad? Like you need me mothering you, but I'm worried! You have enough on your plate. When does Christmas break start? My kid's last day of school is the 15th- I could die! They are off til the 3rd of Jan! Yes, Oregon has the second shortest school year in the nation- maybe you and Kim could move here and teach! :rotfl:

GM- Is the surgery going to be a major thing, or just a biopsy type deal? I'll keep you in my thoughts. And I know how stressful bills are; I hope you can find a good parttime job SOON. I'm po'ed at us cause we were SO CLOSE to having all our credit cards paid off- we did get about 75% of it paid off, but we've charged our airline tickets and a few other things the last 2-3 months and we owe a few thousand again. Such is life, eh?

And yes, I cannot believe the self serve dole whip machines! DH was like, "Can we fill our mugs with it?" I said, "I don't think so...."

Jill PMed me about something and she wanted me to say HI to everyone! She's just swamped with school right now and she said she misses us- I miss you too Jill!

Kim- how frustrating about how the morning went at your house. Reminds me a bit of my situation last night with DH not handling the 3 kids alone for 40 minutes! Sometimes I think men have lost a circuit or something. Most of the time DH can do it, but he admitted this morning he stopped and had a drink on the way home, so that made him extra tired and he was sorry for not handling that situation better. I mean, nothing wrong happened, but I was just so angry that he vented to me how 'hard' the kids are. Yeah, that was a half hour buddy....try all day, day after day!

It's 10 and I'm still in my PJs cause Molly has been a clingy-butt....I've gotta jump in the shower and get Josh to school soon! I am not standing at the freezing bus stop with him this morning...I will drop him off. It snowed again, but didn't stick.

OK, off to the shower I go! Hope everyone has a good day today...

Good afternoon!

I went slogging this morning - a few minutes more than my last run (which was a few minutes more than the one before) so I'm feeling like I'm on the right track. :thumbsup2

And I, alas, did not go to the meeting. Madeleine was in a weird mood yesterday and wouldn't sleep. She fell asleep about 15 minutes before the meeting, so I put videos on for Kailey and did laundry. This morning I spoke with the woman who hosted the meeting and she understood. (The woman who tried to rope me into producing the flyer for the meeting - I don't think she understands so well. )

Nucpharm - I think that's great that you run with your dh - I'm way too slow to run with mine, but it must be a nice bonding time *and* just a great role model for your children. When I first met my dh, he was a jogger, and I looked at him and said "Why? Joggers are not happy people. If you see them on the street, they are not *smiling*, they are grimacing. Hey, want to go get some Cheetoh's?"

Kim - I cannot believe it takes your dh that long to decorate! However, the only time my dh decorated anything but part of the tree was the year I had a trial right before Christmas and I was so depressed because there was no way I'd have time to do the whole tree/decorating thing, so I told dh it would just have to wail until next year. He invited a friend over and they decorated the whole apartment for me!

I am SO SORRY that Aidan is so sick. :guilty:

SL - I tell you, I don't believe those "studies" that show a steamy bathroom doesn't help croup. It's worked for me every time! Glad Lucas is feeling better. And YAYYYYY!!! on the raise! I received that email as well - I guess I should go visit the Official Cheerleading Thread again soon. I signed for groups, but haven't checked the lists.

Hillbeans - thanks for Elicon tip! I actually have that and Elidel for her skin (yes, we've been through this before!) and haven't been using it because the moisterel mixed with the steroid was working so well. I'm going try those. I went to the pharmacy to get the Monistat, but I couldn't remember the name.

And I have a rough time with my breath as well. Dh says his muscles give out before his lungs, but I'm the opposite. I found that Jeff Galloway's approach (if I remember correctly) of mixing jogging and walking really helped me build up stamina.

J&D - cute minnie logo! did you make that youself?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAM!!! :cheer2: Even if he did all his celebrating already.
And my dh trashes my financial planning by not putting in his expense reports on time. We're talking *thousands* of dollars that I have to come up with to pay the Amex bill, a month before I get it back. :sad2:

Lissa - I don't like taking those vitamins either - I still have to because I'm breastfeeding. :p

Have a great day everyone! My dirty laundry is threatening to take over the whole house. Then I would just have to declare it a landfill and move.

Happy Birthday to Sam!!!
party-smiley-049.gif

SL- Congrats on the raise!

DisKim- Hope Aidan feels better soon.

lissawynn- Hope you feel better soon.

Ginamarie- Good luck with your job search.

fabumouse- No, I did not create the logo.

Jill- We miss you as well. Continued luck with your studies!

We are headed to DH's first basketball game as head coach tonight. Since they made the playoffs in football and were out of school for the holiday, they have only been able to have basketball practice for a few days. He is a bit nervous about tonight's game.

TTFN!

Hello all! I feel completely wiped out and it's only 1 o'clock! I've been cleaning like a mad woman this morning. I didn't realize just how filthy this place was until I started washing the floors--Yuck! And I got my run in-and Emma and I used our old bananas to make banana bread after lunch. Now I've got the Santa Clause on TV (DVR'd it yesterday) and may take a little cat nap--we'll see if that ever happens!

fab--LOL about runners never smiling! The only time I really smile is when I'm done--most of the time halfway through a run I"m cussing like a sailor trying to figure out why I do this to myself! :rotfl:

hillbeans--Yeah, I really enjoy all the perks of running--especially being able to eat all I want guilt free--not losing any weight in the process, but at least I'm enjoying it!

jill-Hi to you too! Hang in there the holidays are almost here!

lissawyn--take care of yourself! Sounds like you need a really long nap and a big steak! ;)

gina--good to hear your surgery is scheduled. Hopefully everything will go smoothly. Hope you find some work soon! :grouphug:

alice--hope the snow didn't slow you guys down too much! It's weird here, it's going to be 70 here today and tomorrow and then on Thursday there is a chance of sleet, snow, rain mix with a high of 45! I think we've angered the weather gods again!

diskim--hope Aidan is feeling a little better--funny that you "redecorate" after the kids do--that's why I won't let anyone else put decorations on the tree--I'm kinda OCD about them, I even rearrange my parents when I'm there--has to be just right!

Well, my "wonderful" news is that I have to go have my engagement ring fixed. a couple of years ago, actually right after Emma was born the diamond fell out (almost lost it--AAHH!!!). So, I had to have it reset. Yesterday I noticed that the setting is bent, again, and the diamond is loose! So now I have to make a trip to the jeweler sometime this week--Yuck! :furious:

Hi to everyone else! Chat later!

:goodvibes Hi everyone!!! :goodvibes

We got back a few hours ago....overall the trip was great even though my children (especially Connor) turned truly evil due to zero nap time. There were times I wondered if someone hadn't switched my child out for the rotten version, seriously.

I have to tell you first that as soon as we got there I hopped out to go check in and see if our room was ready (2pm :rotfl: ) and Mike and the kids stayed in the car. As I am standing there a man comes into the lobby and yells he is looking for Mrs Z. Hello!!!??? Immediately I knew I was going to be embarrassed since I am a proud DIS member and know all about the Million Dreams thing. Sure enough I go outside and there is my little family...and about 30 cast members standing with balloons and clappers...and a red carpet. They announce we are the family of the day! What does this mean, you ask? This means me and my little family walk the red carpet while they play loud music and the CM's are all clapping and yelling and asking for our autographs. Have I told you in the past I don't like attention called to me? Ok, I must have turned 100 shades of red if there are that many. They took a picture of us with the CM's and later in the day we returned to the room to find a WDW frame and the photo of us with the CM's. It is quite funny for me to look back on it now...and I told DH we will have to keep this photo in the frame of us and all these strangers...good times. Also, I need to mention that other, unsuspecting, non-DIS folks were staring and pointing at us and wondering who we were that we were getting this royal treatment. That, in of itself, was worth it. Too much! BTW - I would have been realllllyyyy happy with the night in the castle! HA! I suppose I should be very happy because they had our room ready since we were the family of the day!

Anyway...we went to DTD on Sunday night and went to Wolfgang Pucks for dinner. In a nutshell we hated it. Everything we had was awful, except the wine I had and dessert. We were able to laugh about it because we were on the dining plan and really didn't feel like we were paying full price. We then walked around and bought the kids each one present, saw some carolers and left. It was crowded!

Monday we got up and decided to use a counter service meal for breakfast at Roaring Forks at Wilderness Lodge. That was really good and also very crowded....now, part of the reason we did this was because we valet parked our car at the Lodge and then took the boat to MK from WL. This was we avoided the monorail and parking lot at MK and that worked out well. Once at MK, I finally used the baby swap. I don't know how in the world I never knew about this before!!! This worked out wonderfully and now I am wondering how we can keep getting these as the kids grow older. :confused3 A baby doll perhaps? Maybe I can borrow Tess's doll when Icebrat buys it for her and she is done playing with it! ;)
Anyway we left about 1pm and headed back to the hotel so the kids could take a nap....they slept a whopping 30 minutes until I woke them up to get ready for Le Cellier and the Candlelight Processional. (this is when horns REALLY grew out of Connors head) We had a 3:40 ressie and made it on time :thumbsup2 and dinner was FANTASTIC. Sometimes I see bad reviews for Le Cellier and I thought maybe last time we got lucky, but this time was just as great as last time and as a matter of fact I thought of how Jill and I missed one another last time we were there. It wasn't very crowded but there was an older couple who were unfortunate enough to be seated next to our table. I won't go into detail but let's just say they were probably over us. I ordered wine here again after not planning to, because Connor was just a major PITA. Did I mention dinner was fantastic? I had the shrimp cocktail, mushroom filet and creme brulee sampler. YUM!

The candlelight was as great as ever and John O'Hurley was wonderful. If he does it again I will definitely go to see him. Did you all know his wife and him are expecting their first baby next week? He mentioned that and I made a mental note that I;ve got to look up and see how old he is. When he mentioned that people looked fairly surprised given how grey he is. And first baby? Oh well....he was great. And even DH thanksed me for planning it and said he was thinking during the show that it is a great tradition I started by having us go every year....this was our third year. I KNEW he'd come around! He usually moans about it.

We dressed the heathens, I mean children, in their finest Disney clothing this morning and attempted pictures and that was a scene in itself. They were so overtired as were/are we....and Camern has yet another cold so her nose is red, the pictures didn't come out well. I will post some later or tomorrow.

We did decide that 2 night is not near long enough to make it worth packing all the gear we need - so we extended our March trip to 3 nights! And I may even do 4. It just goes so fast. The only thing is the kiddos. Next time we'll have to put them for naps otherwise we may as well not even consider ourselves on vacation. Anyway thanks for thinking of us....it was a good diversion although my mind and heart were thinking of my Dad and family most of the time.

I will check back in later, I have to go unpack and do some laundry.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAM!!!!
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY EMILY!!!
:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Good afternoon all!

Robin--Self-serve Dole Whip at the Poly?? What's next, self-serve funnel cake at the Boardwalk? You know you'd find me right there, pushing aside little kids and grandmothers...

BTW, give our regards to Jill and GLT, when you hear from them. We're thinking of them!

Kim--I had to chuckle about your DH and the morning routine. My Dh has no morning routine, either, but fortunately, he's only up alone with the kids on weekends. The rare time when he's home on a school morning, he marvels at what a "well-oiled machine" we are. Which we really aren't it's just a matter of you have to get certain things done by a certain time, a concept that seems to elude some men!

Hillary--My eczema gets real bad around now, too--right now my feet are the worst. I just asked my Dr. to refill my steroid cream--nothing else works for me. I do use Eucerin as a hand/foot cream, though.

Gina--Have you tried Olivia with a cup yet? Luke's having none of them, but I try every week or so. It might help get her away from bottles a bit, if the bottles are bothering you. I put formula in the cup. I have Luke down to one bottle a day, but let me tell you, I could never have gotten him back to so much nursing, if I hadn't been an experienced nurser. Please don't beat yourself up if your supply is drying up. Olivia is the picture of health--you must be doing something right!

Alissa--I hope you're feeling better soon.

Gems--I loved the balloon/bear. Very cute!

Quick news from our end--Luke pulled himself up for the first time today! I should be thrilled, and part of me is, but he's growing up so fast!

Oh, I have one for you ladies: Our school posts pictures of the "Middle School Magnificents", kids who are singled out for their achievements in various subjects. They announce the kids' names over the PA and send a letter home, too. Anyway, Jocelyn got one for science (no surprise, her average was 100), but here's the thing--her picture isn't posted! Not even her name, when everyone else who got it is up there. She didn't think it was a big deal, said there wasn't enough room. Well, darn it, this is my kid, make room! (you could have fit a couple more pictures if you tried--there are 5 kids who got it for gym, for pete's sake!). I don't know if I should say something to the school, or if that would just embarass her. But the letter said she would be recognized in this way, and she wasn't. I'm probably making a mountain out of a molehill. Thoughts? Opinions? Do I need to chill?

Zalansky - I loved hearing about your trip! I have to live vicariously through everyone this year! I would have been totally embarassed too but you will always remember it! Where did you stay? You probably mentioned it but I can't remember. Thanks for Emmy's b-day wishes!

bnb - At least I know it's not just my DH!

Robin - If I was anywhere near self-serve dole whip, I'd gain a hundred pounds!

I just went outside and almost finished decorating. We have 2 Christmas trees that go on the porch that we haven't even brought down from the attic. I also can't find my wreaths for the upstairs windows. I think our problem is that we just have way too much Christmas stuff. You are all going to crack up when I finally finish and post a picture of my house!

OK, I have to go pay bills while Aidan is still napping!

Hi Everyone!

It's our final warm day but it's raining so we can't really enjoy it. Tomorrow the temp starts dropping and we should get Robin's snow by Thursday night. Yuck.

lissawynn - glad Jimmy is enjoying his truck! I mailed out his other gift today - it finally came! Take it easy....Christmas Break IS coming, I promise. Those last few months are just awful, I know.

robin - I just got back from my weekly Walgreen's run - I just love those good deals, you never know what will be on sale. I also stocked up on my 5 bags of candy for $5 - can't beat that! I LOVE those Cadbury things too - yummy!! Happy Birthday to Sam!

fabumouse - that stuff is Monistat Soothing Medicated Powder. Ouch about your DH's expense reports. We'd so be in trouble if DH had to do that - he does, but it's a company card so we don't actually have to pay it! I'm trying to do laundry too...I'm always drowning in it no matter what I do.

SL - glad Lucas did well with his shot! Congrats on the raise!!!

Fab and SL - Ok, I'm a cheerleader for our three teams. Problem is I don't know what a cheerleader does!!! Do you???

Diskim - Glad Emmy had a good b'day - I kept forgetting to give her good wishes yesterday! Hope Aidan rests for you later and is feeling better. Poor little guy!

nucpharm - LOVE your decorating! Your tree is so pretty!

Gems - the balloon is so cute! That is wonderful that Hallmark will put their name on the shop! SO exciting for you! You are so busy, though, don't forget to rest now and then!

Well, crabby boy in my lap. I also need to wrap the Polly Pocket Cruise Ship that arrived. It's from my mom to Hannah and she'll be into the box if I don't take care of it! Have a great afternoon!

Well, bunch of posts at the same time!

zalansky - sounds like a fun trip! Neat on the red carpet treatment!! My mouth was watering reading about LeCellier - my FAVORITE!

BnB- I would totally be mad too about Jocelyn's lack of recognition. Our school does the same thing and Hayley was a Blue Team Student of the Month in October - I checked and her name was up on the board. It would most likely embarrass her if you did anything about it...I'd let it go, but it would really bother me!

Ok - bye for real!

Hi Mommies,

Busy day here. DH has the week off so we took Kona for a follow up at the Dr. today. Everything looked okay.

He just put together my Mickey desk and it looks great, if I do say so myself.

lissawynn,

Time to go get a big can of beets! DH always wanted me to eat them when my iron would get low during pregnancy. Do you like steak? I hope you feel better soon.

loretta,

Sounds like you had a great time.

ginamarie,

I'm sorry. I must have missed you mentioning your surgery. I hope everything is alright.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SAM!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Robin--Self-serve Dole Whip at the Poly?? What's next, self-serve funnel cake at the Boardwalk? You know you'd find me right there, pushing aside little kids and grandmothers...

You kill me! :rotfl: I can just see the grease fires now with self serve funnel cakes... :rotfl2:

I would be a little irritated about my kid's picture not being included, but if she doesn't think it's a huge deal and isn't hurt by it, I would let it lie.

Here I am, sitting again! Molly has been a TV hog today- I just am so unmotivated today. I did mop and scrub the bathroom. Yay me!

Diz- I also have to wrap presents immediately, or my kids will find them. I counted up all my online orders- I think I am waiting on 10 things to be delivered either UPS or USPS. EXCITING! I love the mail!

OK, that totally made me sound like a pathetic loser!

Z- I loved your mini trip report! Sounds like you had a reasonably good time, sans Conner the possessed child! I love baby swap too, although it can be time consuming. LOL about using a doll! DH has offered to just stay back with Molly on a few of my theme park excursions, so we don't have to drag her around to all the E tickets- sounds good to me!

I'm glad you had a good time at le Cellier- I enjoyed my food last time, but it was so darn crowded I felt like a sardine. And LOL about the red carpet at the hotel! I would have been cracking up!

nuc- hope you can get your ring fixed without too much hassle. My diamond is an antique- it was Bob's grandmother's and my FIL made SURE we got the 6 prong setting when I chose a ring to set it in so it would lessen the likelihood of it getting loose. I think that was a wise move as I have never had a problem and we're coming on 13 years since our engagement. Yowza!

OK, I have just been vindicated as to why I buy so much clothes for Molly- I left my bleach soaked rag in the bathroom sink, and guess who just came out of the bathroom with it, all over her SHIRT!!!!!! ACKKKKKKKKK! OFf came the shirt, but it was too late- it's already now green and LIGHT green. And I got some on my favorite MK sweatshirt (navy blue, so now it has orange spots). Wah. But, like I said, now I feel OK about ordering that other outfit; she ruined another Gymbo top the other day with pizza sauce that refused to come out. :confused3 I think once they hit 18-24 months, it's impossible to keep the clothes clean enough for resale for the most part. I have a huge pile of stuff to ebay in January, that is all 12-24 month Gymbo and Gap.....I have a feeling the next go-round with ebay will be sparse. I am hoping to net about $125-150 for our WDW trip. :woohoo:

SL- I don't think DH would think of the GF spa thing- I joked with him about a lifetime of lunches at the Cheesecake Factory and he said, "Oh, finally you guessed something that's in the realm" and he said, "This will take so much stress off of you, and make your butt stop being so tight that you could squeeze diamonds out of coal...." (sorry if too graphic but we joke that I get so uptight about finances that I could probably do that.... :rotfl2: )...and he also made some sort of reference to our vacation. But I know you can't add the dining plan onto your stay if you don't buy your park tickets with the room....and I know you can't have it while staying at SOG. He's been very blase about my Sunshine Rewards earnings (got $125 gift card yesterday! :woohoo: ), so I just don't know.

Fab- that expense report thing sounds totally like something my DH would do. Luckily his work credit card is paid for by his work, but sometimes he just doesn't think. He got me a new phone at Verizon the other day- 'free', but not really. We had to pay up front for it and then get the rebate check back in a month or two. So WHY did he not put it on a credit card? He debited it, and that put us back another $80 that I wasn't budgeting. Forehead smack inserted here. I swear, I really need to just shut up about it- we're not poor, we just don't plan very well a lot of the time.

Kim- can't wait to see some house pictures!

OK, time to throw a load of laundry in. The only way I can stay on top of it these days is seriously by doing a load or two a day. It sucks. And we will need to buy a new W/D set with the house remodel money. The washer is sounding pretty darn rickety, and we've already put at least $200 in repairs for it the last 3-4 years. They're almost 10 years old, so I guess it would be about time! I just wish we had somewhere else to put them than our downstairs bathroom. I hate the lint film in there all the time.

Hey ladies (I'm doing that in my best Beastie Boys voice). I just wanted to thank all of you for thinking of my and for your concern about my health. I swear I was possessed yesterday. It was as if I was walking around in a haze and just couldn't snap out of it. I forgot to mention the old nutty lady who sat next to me on my bench at the mall while my sister was in the Hallmark store. She told me she had thrown out her tv b/c of all the garbage on the shows. She now listens to the most bee-u-ti-ful music on her radio.

DH is at the store buying me a very large, meaty steak. I just hope he doesn't overcook it. I like it bloody.

I bought Jimmy 3 Elmo holiday dvds yesterday and he'll be enjoying Elmo-fest until bedtime.

I managed to clean off my front porch. My chair cushions never got put away and one of the cats that frequents our yard peed on them. I didn't even tell DH; he'd be waiting outside with a pellet gun. I threw them away along with my witch from Target that got destroyed in the construction.

I promise to be back later once Jimmy is sleeping. I just wanted to say thanks to you all! Have a great night.

Hi again all!

I just wanted to let you guys know, I'm going to let the picture thing slide. If Jocelyn doesn't mind, then I should leave it alone. She said she wasn't the only one without a picture. And she was more excited because they posted the honor rolls today, and she made "Academic Scholar", which is the highest one. And they actually listed her name, so I'm good. I hate to act like one of "those moms", but darn it, when my kid works hard, I want people to know!

Loretta--Sounds like you had a fabulous trip! Good for you for being a selected family! And the baby swap was a godsend for me in August--it was the only way I got to do most "good stuff", and the older kids loved it because they got "seconds"--they rode Soarin' 6 times! yeah, it'll be a sad day when that no longer works for us.

Diz and Robin--I also wrap as I buy--I figure, if kids find stuff, they won't know what's what that way. I have most stuff bought now, so this has been a "wrapping" week. And I'll tell you, it's not getting any easier finding hiding places!

Robin--I recently uncovered a Gymbo shirt that Jocelyn had goten paint on, then crumpled in a ball and I found it days later--needless to say, it was totally trashed (and I had the whole g.d. family!!!). Things like that make my blood boil! I mean, paint happens, but can't you be wearing some cheap stuff!?!

Kim--I look forward to seeing your decorating pictures. I don't have near the energy to do this house justice, so I typically opt to do very little. Someday I'll have the time and money!

Gotta run--I think the Exersaucer is losing its luster!
