Hugs to you too FF. You made me chuckle when you said you were going to pig out. I am so depressed from being sick I had DH drive thru Dunkin Donuts last night and get me a box of Munchkins. There are only 5 left and that is because I don't like the ones that are left! :rotfl: Now, to find something else to eat!

 I'm so sorry we have so many sick mommies and mommies with sick families. I hope everyone feels better soon.

floridafam - Sorry your father got food poisoning. Hope you can get your computer fixed.

Alice28 - Love the pictures from the shower. I'm glad it was a success.

zalansky - Do Crocs stay on well? Lucas slips his shoes off so I'm thinking they're not a good idea for him. I can't tell you how many times we've gotten home from somewhere with only one shoe.

staci - Hope your DD let your DS sleep this morning.

nucpharm - Good thing you avoided a total disaster!

Boring day at work today. I have to email the department head at school and find out what I'm supposed to do as far as registering for classes. I can't believe I start in 2 months.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Hugs to all the sick mommies!!! :grouphug:

z--those "crocs" are so cute--wonder if Emma would wear them???? She does have a bday coming up!

Alice--looks like the shower was a success! :thumbsup2 Sorry to hear about the pink eye and the tire! Here's hoping that the kids will behave for you at the auto place. I remember all too well, taking both kids when we had our flat a couple of months ago--luckily the shop had Noggin on their tv so at least Emma was entertained!

FF--we stayed at Mandalay Bay when we went to Vegas a couple years back--we upgraded to an executive suite and it was lush--but it was SO FAR from everything! It's on the very end of the strip! I would definitely stay somewhere else next time! Hope your dad isn't too sick!

And you can add me to the second guessing vacation thing--I would probably be still 2nd guessing our trip in April, but part of it was booked using Hotwire, so it's already paid for--meaning can't back out now!

SL--Hope your day isn't boring all day long! I hated those days--just seem to drag by, especially on a Monday!

Well, I guess I should backtrack and say that I am really grateful of all DFIL does for the kids, BUT both DH and I would rather him spend the money to come visit than on gifts (like we NEED any more toys!!!) I mean, we lived in Wisconsin for 4 years and he visited us once--this is the man who built a million dollar house recently. And if it weren't for us, he probably wouldn't have seen Matthew yet--we have to plan to see him. Oh well! Enough griping about that

DH booked his mom a ticket so she's flying in on Friday and staying until Sunday am. She is sooooo excited--we told her that this was her xmas present (so she would stop insisting on paying) Little does she know that I already ordered her xmas present on Friday! HeHe!! ;) Now, this little family party for Matthew has turned into a big party (for us at least) It will be the 4 of us; Dsis, her husband and daughter; Dmom and Dad; DMIL; and 2 other couples and their kids! Now, I've already promised dinner for these people, what am I going to serve!!!!! :confused3 I thought about grilling out--but the temps aren't supposed to get out of the 50s on Sat. (cold for Ark.) Maybe lasagna, chili--what ya'll think?????

Okay, so enough ramblings from me! Will be back on later I'm sure!

Hi Mommies!

I'm so sorry everyone is so sick!! I hope everyone feels better soon. I'm sending some cyber chicken noodle soup (or maybe dunkin donuts in zalansky's case ;) )

ff - don't second guess your vacation. You deserve a fun time! Yes, you could buy furniture with the money, but you'll have such great memories from a vacation!!

alice - Great party pics! I'm glad everything went so well. Yeah on the negative test! big sigh of relief!!

Jill - Aww John is soooo cute! His party looks like a lot of fun. I love when you post pics of his sisters with him. You can tell how much they adore him!

nucpharm- Sounds like you guys scored on the candy! That is sweet of your DH to look for ff flights for his mom. All the presents from your FIL sound like fun.

sl - cute purse! Sounds like you guys had fun shopping.

glt - Cute pic of the kids! Was this your weekend at the hotel?

joats - Oh poor Jace! I feel so badly for you guys. It's such a helpless feeling when the kids are sick like that. I hope they get to the bottom of your rash too.

justthat - A tuna cookie? I can't even imagine what that is like! Do pedophiles wear scrubs? ;)

fabumouse - Sorry about your basement, what a mess!

val - Sorry about all the power issues. That would drive me insane!

hillbeans - I hope you got more sleep last night. 7 times in a night, I couldn't do it!!

diskim - Yeah on your date night!!

diz - We need to clean our garage too. It's such a project though!

We had such a fun weekend. The wedding on Saturday was the most beautiful wedding I've ever been to. It was so intimate and touching. The reception was so gorgeous! They rented out a really unique restaurant and went all out with food and drinks. They had a 9 piece live band that was a lot of fun too.

Our halloween party last night was tons of fun. I've attached a few pics. Of course I didn't get a family shot with DH as the scarecrow, I'm kicking myself this morning. I have a very messy house to clean up today!!

A few of the kids, Tyler didn't want to sit still for the picture!

talk to you all later!

tamie

nucpharm - how about soup? For the grownups last night I made a big pot of soup and had a salad and bread. I love having something I can do ahead of time.

zalansky,

Oh, I wanted to stop at Dunkin Donuts today and get a Bavarian Cream donut. Maybe I'll take the kids there after school.

Kona has a pair of fake Crocs-I got them from Rack Room Shoes and they don't stay on her feet. :confused3

HI Ladies,

I think all of us were up an hour earlier than any other people without children yesterday! ;) At least Liam only woke up once last night!!! :woohoo:

Hope all of the sick mommies and kids are feeling better today. I'm not sick, but I did throw my back out carrying Liam around a corn maze on Saturday. I couldn't bring my stroller in the maze and I was trying to give DH a break. Not sure what happened, but my lower back and siatic nerve down my left leg are acting up. No more carrying him around, he's getting way too heavy!

Robin - YAY on the negative HPT. I just had to LOL at the picture of you in the waiting room with all of your kids cheering at a negative home pregnancy test - i'm sure the nurses got a kick out of that. I hope that your HSG goes well. We are also considering the Nick Hotel for one of our nights down in Florida in the Spring. I know Kevin would love to stay in one of those Spongebob suites but i'd rather stay at AKL before our stay at BCV.

Loretta - I would definitely plan a stay for Saturday. Go for it! Glad Cam and Connor are feeling a little better.
I wanted to ask you (since we often both watch the same obscure cable shows) if you watch the "Dallas Cowgirls Cheerleader" show....LOL, I find myself watching either that or "Girls Next Door"...both totally cheezy but IMO they are just so engrossing.

Floridafam - we stayed at the Venetian in June when my DH had a convention and that hotel was most definitely a 5+ star hotel. Gorgeous!
It would be hard to compare any other hotel to that one - but I hear Mandalay Bay gets a younger crowd because of that huge wave pool?

GLT - I wanted to tell you that the pictures of your kids (especially of the oldest in his brother's crib) were just so cute!! :wizard:

Jill - I love those pictures, and love the one that Robin liked too - JP's face is just so cute in the picture w/the twin on the blanket. I second Loretta on the fact that I wish I saw that hat you had JP in before Liam's birthday. It's so cute! Glad you had a busy, fun weekend.

Justine - Tuna cookies? How horrible. Why would someone serve those at a kids birthday party? Totally gross.

SL - I love that purse. I say take the splurge! My boss bought a $460 Coach bag with a similar pattern (but it's very dark brown and big) and it's gorgeous. I have a coach bag but it's about 5 years old and I kind of switch it in and out of the rotation.

Nucpharm - I may get Kevin that camera also, thanks for the great idea. I bought him one of the disposable ones when we went to the pumpkin patch and he was taking pictures left and right and blew through that camera in about 5 minutes. I'll probably have one good picture and 25 others of his hand, jacket and the bushes. :lmao:

Diskim - Hope your week at school goes better this week. Does your school celebrate Halloween? I'm glad ours does.

Gotta run - more later.

/
FF - you know, I don't know why I thought Cameryn will keep those shoes on! She won't. She already takes off her sneakers because she hates shoes. I bought both pair in a 1/2 size up so maybe as she gets older she'll keep them on? HA! On the other hand, Connor's Crocs do stay on his feet and he LOVES them.

Hillbeans - I keep forgetting to watch the Girls Next Door. Darnit. I did hear that was some good, entertaining tv. We have been watching the new season of Breaking Bonaduce, which is truly a trainwreck, and makes it impossible for us not to watch.

Robin,

It looks like the shower was great!! Sorry you are sick.

I just had a huge plate of lasagna, a coke, 2 little debbie nutty bars and another coke with my cold medicine. I hope my pants fit tomorrow.

Z & FF- we are on the same page food wise. I bought a box of See's candy yesterday (why, I do not know, as I am not supposed to really have much chocolate anyway) and last night during Des. housewives I sat down and ate about 5 pieces. Plus I had made stovetop popcorn during Amazing Race, and although the kids ate most of it, I had a few handfuls of oily, buttery popcorn. Not good.

I love those crocs! I want a pair for Molly for Disney! I want to do some more online ordering, but I shouldn't...but I want to....but I shouldn't....but..

FF- I'm sorry to hear about your dad! I hope he feels better soon. We still are thinking of Vegas, but it's on the backburner now since WDW has become a huge trip. We were thinking of staying at the Luxor or the one next door that now I am forgetting.....the Mirage, that's it. I really want to see the Cirque show that's based on the Beatles music. My dad had every Beatles album when I was a kid and I like most of their music very much.

Hillbeans- I have watched Girls Next Door on occasion. It's jaw-dropping at times! Yet I can't look away! I just don't get it. I mean, yes, they are grown women, who can do whatever they darn well want, but it IS a little weird!

Tamie- GREAT pictures! How cute that you went as Dorothy! Great idea! I love the decorated pumpkins. we still haven't carved ours. If I can time it right, we will this afternoon I guess.

nucpharm- My oldest son's bday is in November and we have done the following foods for his parties: pizza (several times), lasagna, & deli plates for sandwiches. My other son's is in June, so we ALWAYS do burgers and dogs for his party. It's getting a bit predictable! :p I'm glad your MIL is coming though, and that's too bad that FIL doesn't want to take the time to come see the kiddoes and you and your DH.

I have about 5 loads of laundry to put away. I thought DH said he did laundry on Saturday morning; well he washed and dried it all, and shoved it back into the dryer. Isn't that cute? :stir: I'm not too thrilled right now, to say the least. So, back to the grind I guess.

z, ff, and alice--Hey, at least ya'll are eating stuff that's yours--Here's me rumaging through Emma's halloween candy for the good stuff  Then she walks in and says "Mommy, what are you eating?" So, being the wonderful mom I am, I lie-Bad mommy!!!! But heck, how much candy does a 2 year old really need anyway!

Just a quick hello from me! Carson is way needy today and except for his brief stints with the bouncey and floor gym he seems to need to be attached to my shoulder. Anyway, I've been reading up and I'm sorry we have so many mommies and kiddos feeling crummy. You guys get well for tomorrow!! I am waiting on a plumber and electrician today - when it rains it pours it seems. Our disposal is not working and we can't un-jam it and our outdoor lights and outlets aren't working and the fuses seem to be fine. SO, just sitting here ready to pass out more $$ that I would rather hold onto. Espcially since I'm sure both problems are easy fixes but DH and I are clueless about such things. Hope everyone is feeling better soon - I do know that I am really wanting some Dunkin Donuts now so thanks alot, guys! Hmmm I haven't managed to pick up any pumpkins yet so maybe later when I do get out I'll make a run to the good ole D'D drive through but then I'd want some Baskin Robbins as well, so it's probably not a good idea! Hope to get back soon!

Val- The imaginary friends line IS really cute! Awwww, how sweet that your DS wants Katrina to have a princess room!!

Alice- Woohoo on the PG test! Sorry about the pinkeye. I found out that there’s a branch of the See’s candy store in a department store right by my house, but I can’t bring myself to go there for fear I’ll get addicted.

DisKim- Kudos for you for getting through BJs without spending a lot. My mom and I were not so good! We bought a bunch of Christmas presents. Those new Cabbage Patch dolls are too cute.

SL- Cute purse!

Zalansky- Yes, the amusement park is in Farmingdale. It’s called Adventureland. It’s only 5-10 minutes from where we live.
I’d want to add a Saturday night to your vacation plans too, especially if you can find something cheap through priceline!
I love the tye dyed shoes!

Tykes- Great pictures. It looks like that party was a lot of fun.

Hillbeans- Oh yes, parents get the short end of the stick when it comes to the “fall back” clocks thing. Olivia now thinks 5:30 is a great time to get up for the day. Sorry you threw your back out. I’ve done that before, and I know how much it hurts!

The amusement park was pretty fun. We got a bunch of candy and some free food. DBro made an adorable sponge-bob, and all the teenage girls w ho were working there wanted to talk to him and hold his hand. He’s only 3, but he has such a way with the ladies! Of course there was one little boy there in a Lightening McQueen costume, and Dbro was obsessed with him. Poor little kid! Olivia was all bundled in her Kermit costume. I’m glad it’s such a warm costume, because it was so windy!!

We went to BJs afterwards and met a friend of mine there. We spent a lot more money than was originally intended. I swear, people are going to curse at me the next time I suggest meeting up at BJs.

It was a long day though, and so I was none too pleased when I realized Aunt Flo was back to visiting again. She’s making my life very unpleasant today. I had conveniently forgotten about cramps. I knew the breastfeeding would only hold things off for so long, but I was hoping it would be a LITTLE longer. Plus, today’s lunch has given me awful indigestion. Plus, I think I might have a blocked milk duct. Plus, there’s no soda to drink around here and I could really use a comfort coke. Plus, Olivia is having a grumpy day.

On the bright side, DH is using one of his last vacation days tomorrow, so he can watch Olivia while I race to finish my work. All of our remaining vacation days are left for WDW. Only 5 more weeks to go. It can’t come fast enough for me now.

GM,
Sorry Aunt Flo is making you miserable. How nice that dh is taking the day off tomorrow though to take some of the stress off of you. 5 more weeks! You must be getting so excited :cool1: .

dizagain,
I hope the repairs aren't too costly. I hate spending money on stuff like that too  .

Nucpharm,
Oh, I've been eating my son's candy for 7 years now  . He always ends up forgetting about it and then it's mine. As far as party food, I've done the same things as Robin. Sandwiches and pizza are good because you don't need silverware and it's easy to eat with the plate on your lap. We've also done a big pot of chili and made hot dogs so people could have chili dogs for one party and that was a hit.

Robin,
Sorry you are feeling crappy again. The shower looks like it was fun. Katrina has that outfit in the pic for next summer too :thumbsup2 .

FF,
Sorry you are feeling crummy. Lasagna sounds good right now. I'm making one of those roasts in a bag for dinner and I'm starving waiting for it to cook :) .

Loretta,
I keep forgetting to watch the new season of Breaking Bonaduce! What day is it on? I watched the first season and was in awe of what a jerk that guy is. Hope you and the kids feel better soon.

Hillbeans,
My ds was always the same way with the disposable cameras. You would not believe how many pics of daddy's butt we have from him :rotfl: .

Tamie,
That wedding sounds so beautiful. I'm glad you had fun. And the Halloween party looks great. I just love your table - and your costumes !

SL,
We often end up with one shoe too. Good luck with school. Time sure flies, doesn't it? And that purse is very cute :thumbsup2 .

Nothing much to report here. I'm itching to do some shopping online to finish up my Christmas shopping but I feel like I should wait and see what the sales look like for Veteran's Day and Black Friday. The annoying girl at my work is still getting on my nerves but now she wants the full-time position so I guess I should get used to her being around for awhile :rolleyes1 . It's just hard when one person isn't pulling their weight for everyone else to always have to absorb it, you know? And now we will soon have a new person and one of the really fast girls is leaving so that should be fun  .

I'm looking forward to taking the kids around tomorrow night since we missed out on the trick or treating on Saturday. We are all dressing up as witches tomorrow at work -- showing our true colors you know :stir: . I just love Halloween :teeth: .

I am so beat. The kids are nuts at school because of Halloween. I took the kids trick or treating by my mom's since they have trick-or-treating on the 30th. I didn't take Aidan because he was being such a monster. Then, Emmy and Alex both had Scouts. Emmy went to a nursing home and played Bingo with the old people. It was adorable but they ran a half hour late and Aidan was a maniac. He made the people smile though. I noticed it was all old women. It must be slim pickins as far as men go there.

I'm dressing up as a pirate tomorrow. I'm wearing Alex's big rings from his Disney treasure chest he made. I'm also borrowing his POTC necklace he got in Disney. I thought about wearing his Captain Hook hat but it doesn't look right. It's a little small too. School ought to be horrible tomorrow as usual. Halloween is like a madhouse in my school. I guess I don't help by bringing them candy.

Tamie - Aidan has the same lion costume as Tyler. I hope he lets me put it on him tomorrow. Great pictures!

Robin and Zalansky - I hope you both feel better.

I can't get fully caught up since I have to go re-read 4 chapters of Frankenstein so my students are fooled and think I have every word memorized. Actually, I do for most of my novels but not that one for some reason.

If I don't get back tomorrow - Have a great Halloween everyone!!

I'm way behind.

Count me in with the sick mommies -- and all three kids have colds.

Water park was fun but was 99 percent just me and the kids (DH is ticking me off these days with his other obligations).

Leif has been fussing in the crib for a while and I thought he went to sleep, but apparently not, he's screaming so I've gotta run.

Tamie - those pics of the kids int eh costumes is adorable, and love the table, what fun!

DisKim - I bet the old people loved seeing Aidan. He's such a cutie and full of energy that I'm sure they were thrilled to see him. I hope Aidan lets you dress him up in his costume tomorrow.

Val - Sorry to hear about the annoying girl at work. Cute that you're all dressing up as witches though! And glad to know I'm not the only one with 2 surprise kids. ;) I hate telling people that with Henry cause I get the look like "Don't you know what causes pregnancy by now?" Of course, why is it anyone's business if I planned my kids or not anyway, but I guess some people are overly nosy. My mom's "friend" (very loose term) asked me if Henry was circumsized and if I'm breastfeeding him. Uh, why do you care!?!

Ginamarie, consider yourself lucky cause I was back in business just 3 months after Madison was born and she was exclusively nursing then too! And to top it off, the magic day was 1 year to the date from the last time, coincidentally my wedding day. Imagine my surprise and joy. Luckily my MOH is a little OCD and had about 400 tampons with her just in case cause there were none to be found in my mom's house. Loved that painting in Olivia's room btw! :thumbsup2

Dizagain - I sent those coupons on their way so hopefully you'll get them soon. And I should add that although Henry sleeps very well all night and would like to sleep a lot all day, his daytime sleep is very disturbed by his oh-so-helpful big sister. Madison feels her mission in life is to keep Henry awake as much as possible. Today and yesterday he napped maybe a total of 2 hours thanks to someone waking him up.

Alice - Your description of your husband doing laundry sounds awfully familiar.... ;) That's my thing. It's not so much that Joey doesn't help, but that he thinks he is and then creates more work for me. And I too feel like it's a big favor, even though he doesn't say that. He's very helpful on his days off I admit, but since there are only 4 of those a month and 26 days of non-help, well, you get the idea. Hope you're feeling better today! Oh yeah, and we're going to WDW-DL is next November. Sorry to disappoint you. ;)

And a quick question-that box of See's you sent me, what were the fillings in there? Specifically, there was a small rectangular chocolate filled with some sort of brownish/gold stuff. That was incredibly good and I need to order them! It was not the one with sprinkles on it or the scotchmallow. I want to get a custom blend that I saw on their website and I need these things to be in there. I will also be adding some molasses chips cause those are so good too!

Tamie I love the theme costumes!!! Such a great idea. And you are so talented-those pumpkins and cupcakes are adorable. The pictures were so cute-I love the one with the kiss!

Zalansky - Those crocs are adorable! I bet Cam will start keeping her shoes on soon. Madison used to peel hers off at every opportunity when she was about that age but now she loves shoes. And it takes her forever to grow a half size so if Cam is anything like that it'll help out.

Hillbeans - 7 times in one night, gosh, I don't know how you didn't collapse the next day. Madison did the cry with her eyes shut thing for awhile and it drove me insane. She was sleeping but I wasn't cause she was screaming! :furious: We figured out that they were related to her night terrors and that she had to be in bed by 10pm or so otherwise she'd be a total monster like that.

Nucpharm that's so great that your MIL can come in for Matthew's party! I know what you mean about people like your FIL. My mom is like that. She comes to visit too, but if she'd take that money she spends on toys and put it towards visiting more I know my kids would like it better. Good luck with his birthday party!

SL - Wow, your school starts soon. Will you be working while you're in school too? I like the Coach bag. The size looks good too.

FF - Sorry that you're all getting sick. And that's terrible that your dad was so sick. We'll be in VB the 5-7 so if you're feeling better and want to meet up let me know. I know weekdays are probably tough for you though with getting your kids to/from school and getting what you need accomplished, let alone being sick, so please don't go out of your way.

Staci - I don't think I have been able to think straight in a long time so the 4:40 didn't seem as bad as it should have. Of course I still thought about selling him to the highest bidder when he wouldn't go back to sleep. I hope you guys get to go in 2008. And in case you didn't notice it in some sigs, there's a New Mom meet planned for June 2008 if that month is in your plans!

Jill I love all of your photos! And that little banner on John's highchair is too cute! John seems like he's really confident with his sitting now too so it looks like he's making good progress. He looks like such a big boy with his button down shirt on! And since I have no memory anymore I can't remember if I said it but yeah, we're going to the MVMCP on the 21st too. Maybe we can meet up parade time if you'll be watching it.

GLT your kids look so happy playing together. Leif has such a great smile and eyes. Gosh, I know you're trying to wean him and all, but I know I'd cave if I saw that sweet little face looking at me. Good luck with that! ;)

WDWBetsy - Glad you made the decision to take Aubree and got her a seat-that way you can't worry about it anymore and it's a done deal. I have to admit the alone time would appeal to me a lot, but leaving them at that age is kinda hard.

I know I'm forgetting people but I blame that on lack of sleep with the time change. Between that and Henry not napping the past 2 days he has gone to bed at 5:15 the past 2 nights so you can figure out what that means for his wake up time. My husband will be home at 5am and so I'm sure I'll wake up then even if Henry manages to sleep.

Before I crawl into bed I have to share something my friend told me when we went trick or treating with them at this outdoor mall kinda thing yesterday. (This is the weird friend I've mentioned before who spends more time in NJ with her mom than home with her husband, insisted she'd have a daughter on her own birthday, etc.) She asked who was going on vacation with me and I pointed to the clan and she said "that's it, just the 4 of you?" She asked if it was the first time we went away ourselves so I said, no, we usually do, barring my mom's conferences cause I don't think her boss would appreciate us attending them without her. :lmao: Her response was that she sees her husband everyday so why would she want to vacation with him-she'd rather go with other people. Now I don't care what she does, but it just struck me as odd. I see my husband a lot too (more than her I'm betting since she's literally gone half of every month at her mom's) but I really look forward to vacations with him cause we actually spend time together rather than just sleeping together which is what often happens home since we're both so tired and he works crazy hours. They're really the best family time we get all year which is why they're so important to me. And I was under the impression most people enjoyed vacationing with their families but I guess I was wrong.

Well, it's so past my bedtime so I need to deal with that. Happy Halloween everyone!! And just in case tomorrow is too crazy have a great 2 weeks!

ETA: GLT you are one good mommy cause a waterpark alone with 3 young kids is hard! I found the pool to be a bit challenging with just 2. Add another to the mix and I'm sure there would have been more than the 1 near drowning!

I'm getting frustrated with my car! I got the tire fixed today, and the tire pressure light came on again on the way to soccer practice! :furious: I am going to top off the tires with air tomorrow. I wonder if it's because the temperatures have dipped into the 30s off and on at night? It was cold today!

I'm due for an oil change this week anyway. Maybe they can look at it. That reminds me to make the appt.

Can someone tell me WHY I volunteered to be in charge of Sam's Halloween party tomorrow? Ugh. I am going to wear DH's BDUs (camoflouge), and I made a Halloween Bingo game. Most of the parents donated treats. The party is an hour long- tell me teachers- don't you think that the hour will be filled by passing out the goodies, the kids eating the goodies, Bingo (for a few games) and then maybe a few rounds of Halloween HangMan? I always just kept things so casual with my daycare, and the kids loved the simple stuff. But I got all panicky the other day remembering Sam's kindergarten and 2nd grade parties- there were stations of games, crafts, etc. That MUST have been the teacher's doing, and the parents just helped....I cannot imagine a parent doing all that work...and it seemed so organized that I figured it was something the teacher did year after year. But it made me scared that I am going to be doing the lamest Halloween party ever. :confused3 Then I'm just going to swing by Joshie's classroom to say hello, etc and then come home I guess.

Bellacam- how is your BP? Are you able to keep it under control? How are you feeling? I remember a couple times when I had the PIH, I got the shakes, was throwing up, felt dizzy....it was not good and I still get POed thinking how long they let me go on and not induce me sooner. ESP when Joshua ended up being 11#s. (I delivered him at 39 weeks 2 days....the first doctor I spoke to at 36 weeks said I should deliver no later than the end of week 37...but then the next two doctors dismissed his recommendation. :furious: :furious: ).

Kim- I hope your day isn't too crazy busy insane tomorrow. Have fun being a Pirate!

Val- sounds like things are a bit crazy at your work! I'm itching to order a few things of the Disney Shopping website, but I know if I wait til Veteran's Day or Thanksgiving it will be cheaper. They offered 25% off today, but add in shipping and it was only about $2 off. Kinda lame. And I'm not sure the boys really NEED the Buzz Blasters....just them shooting them for 90 seconds in the store yesterday was driving me batty!

GLT- :grouphug: to you and your kids. I hope you feel better soon!

GM- sorry about Aunt Flo....although we all know I am wishing for mine! I have only had one real one since Molly was born. The b-feeding staved it off for about a year or 13 months, and then the Depo surpressed it. Sounds like that amusement park was great, except for the wind! Hope you get lots accomplished tomorrow with DH staying home! And only 5 weeks til your trip! Wow!

Hi Diz! Sorry Carson is being such a pooper!

Anyway, I guess I need to venture back downstairs. I was up here with Molly, playing, but she escaped downstairs. So now I am up here all alone and it's SO NICE. I just got really frazzled the last 2-3 hours....my 8 year old just can talk non-stop sometimes, and then he was frustrating me with his homework. I just want him to TRY without asking me for help deciphering words.

Promise to catch up later. I hope the DIS moms are feeling abetter and on the road to recovery (I"m feeling worse but hope that I can make it through the day and trick or treat).

Roibin - with the tire pressure thing, once your car is fixed you need to reset the tire pressure gage. In my car it's holding down the button which is left of the steering wheel near the hood release -- for about 10 or 20 seconds, it'll double blink or something. I always forgot to do that with my car and would head right back to the repair shop and they'd remind me of the light. Good luck!

The party sounds good to me. An hour can pass very quickly -- maybe they don't eat the candy? I don't think DD is doing any Halloween thing at school. And because she missed yesterday I won't know for sure until we get there today

Justhat - It's actually a very kid-friendly waterpark, plus we used life jackets in the deep water, that saved me A LOT!! I think a family vacation should be just as you described, but some marriages aren't what they are cracked up to be, so maybe for your friend she likes time away from her dh to recoop :confused3

OK, I want to chat more, but I have some early quiet time and HAVE to finish writing some stuff. Take care~

Happy Halloween!

After work, I'll pick Lucas up at my mom's and change him into his costume there. I figured I'd wait until my dad came home so he can see Lucas, then head over to my aunt's house to say hi. My grandmother goes there for Halloween because she doesn't like Trick or Treaters. Then, I'll take him home for dinner and DH and I will switch off - he'll take Lucas to his parents house and I'll hand out the candy.

nucpharm - Wow, you're ambitious. I'd be ordering up some pizzas for the party. I think a lasagna and salad sounds good.

tkyes - I love your pictures. Tyler looks so cute in his lion costume.

hillbeans - I hope your back is feeling better. I can't carry Lucas around too long or I throw mine out, too. Advil helps, though.

dizagain - Hope you got everything fixed and it wasn't insanely expensive.

Ginamarie - Hope you get your work done today. Only 5 weeks to go!

val - That's great that you're all dressing up at work. I'm wearing my Target pumpin t-shirt but I'm sure I'm the only one whose got anything festive on. There used to be a lady who worked here who would go all out with the pumpkin wear but she was one of the recent quitters. Sorry about that annoying girl at work.

DisKim - I hope today isn't a madhouse at your school. Your pirate costume sounds great.

glt - You're awesome for doing the waterpark virtually alone. I hope everyone at your house feels better for Halloween. Good luck with your writing.

justhat - Doesn't sound like your friend likes her husband too much. My sister always takes other people on vacation with her but it's not because she doesn't want to spend time with her DH, it's because they can't handle their kids alone.

Alice28 - Good luck at the Halloween party today!

I'll check in again later, I'm sure. :wave2:
