The Official New Mom Thread Part 2

Not open for further replies.
Hi moms. Another busy day here. Lucas is teething something fierce and his mood is unbelievable. Work is so busy - it's just one thing after another. There's a bright spot in my week tomorrow - DH got tickets to a tennis match (the Pilot Pen for you tennis enthusiasts). We usually go every year but the tickets are harder and harder to get (he gets them through his work). I won't know until tomorrow evening if I have to report for jury duty on Thursday or not. Part of me wants to just go down there and get it over with because I'm pretty sure they wouldn't pick me, but most of me wants to stay home and relax on my day off!

I'm not opposed to an exchange cap.

I'm too tired to do a proper update so I hope to find some time at work to check in tomorrow. Have a good night, everyone.

Good evening moms! I’m still catching up with all the posts….. :teeth:

Fabumouse – I must admit that I didn’t really know what a yeast belly was either, but now I do! :lmao: I’ve got quite a nice one at the moment and I really can’t blame my baby either. I had a hysterectomy 6 weeks ago and I am really wishing they did a tummy tuck at the same time! ;)

Good luck with the sleeping issue too. I wish I had some good advice on getting babies to sleep, but I don’t. Hopefully this is just a phase with your newborn. Your MIL sounds wonderful for helping you out with everything too.

Val – Glad to hear that you didn’t get a migraine today and that the low ponytail helped. :thumbsup2 Good luck with your long work day tomorrow! I hope that you will get some breaks in there so you aren’t on your feet too much.

Tasha – How did your quiz go today? I hope that you and Kylie get over your colds very soon.

Ginamarie – I’m sorry to hear about little Olivia’s digestive problems. :grouphug: Both Katie and John had some issues when they were little and we had to use suppositories for a bit. They took care of the problem which was good and I hope that it helps Olivia too!

Tamie – Congrats on finding boxes for your growth charts! I would be interested in purchasing one for John. I like the sports one! Your charts are so cute!

Floridafam – Awww…Kona is such a cutie with her ‘puppy puppy’ and Target! Congrats on the good deal with the Poppy painting too! As far as the exchange, I'm flexible. Whatever the majority wants is fine with me. :thumbsup2

Justhat – I just read your post from a couple of days ago about Henry needing surgery! Oh my! :grouphug: I’ll keep you all in my prayers that the surgery goes smoothly for him. Did they happen to say why they won’t give a stronger medicine than Tylenol or Motrin? John had morphine and then Tylenol with codeine after his surgery and Henry’s surgery site sounds like he could use something stronger too.

Robin – I’m right there with you on Fantasyland and New Orleans Square in DL. They have such a wonderful ambiance to them! :cloud9: I’ll also join you on falling off the exercise and eating right wagon. I can now exercise and need to get my rear in gear. It also sounds like you got some great things at Costco. We went tonight and I was checking out all of the cool toys they have out for Christmas.

GLT – Did you get to see the doctor today? I hope that you feel better soon.

Joats – I’m sorry to hear that your dh hasn’t been feeling well. How is he doing now?

Hillbeans – I’m sorry about the loss of your mom 3 years ago. Today is the 6th anniversary of my dh’s fathers death. My husband was telling me today how there are days he automatically wants to pick up the phone to tell his dad something and he remembers that he isn’t here anymore. My FIL loved the girls so much and he really would have loved seeing John too. I can only imagine how tough it is losing a parent and know that I am thinking of you.

SL – How is everything with the in-laws? Have fun at the tennis match!

Bellacam – How are you feeling? Better, I hope!

Gretchen – Are you back from your trip yet? How was it?

DisKim – I’m sorry that DVC didn’t work out. We went to a presentation on our trip in 2003 and we couldn’t afford it, but I was hoping that my parents would buy into it! Looking back, we probably should have bought it with the number of times we have gone since 2003. I’m also kicking myself b/c the points were going for around $75 a point back then with some other special deal for buying into Saratoga Springs. Ugh. I would actually like to rent though to see what the villas are like. BTW, did you ever have to meet up with your relatives on your trip?

Ok, I am having problems with Imagestation so it looks like I won’t get any pictures up until tomorrow. I’m too tired to try to get everything uploaded tonight.

We were planning on going down to the Smithsonian tomorrow, but we need another down day so that is out. I also need to study! Ick.

Everyone have a great evening! :goodvibes :wave2:

I managed to get one picture up.

Here we are in front of IASW. I was still 'green around the gills' from my 'barf fest' but I wasn't going to let that stop me. ;) (Although, I will say that it will be a loooong loooong time before I ever eat Prime Rib again.) :teeth:

ed5d8d9c.jpg

I just love Fantasyland in DL so much more than the one in MK in WDW.

Oh and Robin, I never got a chance to ride the Storybook Land ride. We were planning on hitting Fantasyland at 8 a.m. sharp, but since I was sick the night before and the kids were exhausted we didn't make it to DL until 10:30. Fantasyland was mobbed at that point and I never got a chance to ride it on this trip. Bummer....

I'll post more later! :wave2:

Jill~ I love the pic! That's how our planned Fantasyland morning went too- we wanted to be there at 8 on the dot and didn't get there til 10:15 or so because the kids were just pooped and wanted to sleep til 9:30. Oh well.

Fabumouse- I'm so sorry that Madeleine is not wanting to nap! How frustrating for you! Esp because I so enjoyed the little catnaps I could sometimes sneak when baby would fall asleep. Here's some PD that she soons falls into a regular nap schedule. :wizard: :wizard:

And I think I have yeast belly on top of some muscles, cause I just hate how my gut is 'out there.' I have these really muscular legs, and slim hips and then this GUT. Ugh, I hate it.

GLT- how are you today? You hanging in there? Are you on the strep throat wagon with me?

Tamie- Yep, the maps were in the book section. Love them! I could stare at them for hours- so many details, and there is even a fact key! (certain places have a number on them, and the corresponding number has a little fact next to it).

I am now debating if Molly needs a growth chart! Those are darn cute!

Val- I am glad you do not have a headache today! I hope your long day tomorrow goes well.

SL- I hope Lucas's teeth pop through quickly. Teething is a pain in the rear for baby and parents!

Anyway, that's all for now. Talk to you all tomorrow.

fabumouse - Oh, I definitely have had a yeast belly with every baby. I just never heard that term before. I get it now :lmao: ! I'm from NJ too!

Well, I had an interesting evening. Emily had to go to a party at her troop leader's house to get her bronze award. When we left, our car was completely dead. One of the dads jumped us and I took it over to a friend's house (he's a mechanic). I just finally got home now. Thank goodness my grandmother is visiting and she was home with the boys during all of this.

Jill - I love the picture! Keep them coming! I've never been to Disneyland yet. I had a book when I was a child that was all about IASW in Disneyland. I remember being so disappointed when I went to Orlando and the ride didn't look like that on the outside. That was my favorite book. Yes, I did meet up with my relatives. It worked out just fine and they really were not intrusive at all. My cousin ( the one getting married) seemed a little cold toward me, but I just ignored it. I think she is mad because I told her that teachers can't just take off whenever they feel like it and I will not be able to attend her wedding if it is in May.

Tamie - The growth charts are beautiful. I just had to tell you while I'm thinking of it that I use the planner you sent me constantly. It is such a big help!

I went to the OB/gyn today and explained to my doctor that DH and I are in negotiations over another baby. One of the big factors was my health after my pregnancy with Aidan. He told me that I am perfectly healthy and Aidan was just a fluke. I was so happy to hear that. That doesn't settle things for me. We are still in negotiations. I'm thinking I should get a lawyer ;) .

Well, I think I need to go chill out in front of the tv before bed. I've had a rough night.

I took Jenna to the Dr. today b/c she has had some light congestion and a cough at night for almost 2 weeks now. Luckily her ears and lungs are clear and it is just a slight case of allergic rhinitis.

Jenna can identify most of the DIS babies here. It is so cute to hear her say Lucas, John, Madison, Kyiee, Jimmy Bunny (she still calls him that). Alice, she misses seeing Mollee.

Hillbeans- Thanks for the book order. Hope the kiddos enjoy them. I need to order the Halloween Activities one while it is on clearance. It will probably sell out soon. I am having another mystery hostess e-show, so I will enter your name in the drawing.

BnBM- Did you receive the rebate check that I had sent you?

Floridafam- I'll PM you my exchange info later.

Gems- I think I'll skip the Christmas exchange. Thanks anyway. I'm just not in the mood for Christmas right now. I may organize another Christmas exchange in October/November if people are interested. Maybe that one can be a Secret Santa exchange.

Jill & DisKim- Love the pictures. Keep them coming. Jill, so sorry you got sick.

Valerie- Glad to hear that you are enjoying your new job. Good luck with your long day tomorrow.

Tamie- Your growth charts are beautiful. I wish I had room for one in Jenna's room, but I don't. Good luck with them.

SL- Have fun at the tennis match.

Loretta- Hope Cameryn feels better soon.

Tasha- Hope you had a good day at school and that you and Kylie are not coming down with a cold.

Ginamarie- Sorry you had to give Olivia some baby suppositories. Glad they worked.

justhat- I love Henry's angel outfit. Too cute. Is it from BRU?

fabumouse- Sorry you aren't getting much sleep. I remember those days/nights. My sleep patterns still haven't returned to normal, and my DD is almost 19 months.

lissawynn- Hope your inservice isn't too boring tomorrow. That is something about teaching that I do not miss. Good luck getting your room ready for Monday.

GLT- Good luck with the tour of the school tomorrow. Hope it helps.

Hi to all other DIS Moms! TTFN!

Good morning moms. Have any of your ever heard about getting hives from teething? Lucas has all these red welts on his legs that my mom thought were insect bites. After thinking about it, DH and I realized he wasn't really exposed to anything that could bite him like that. Not to mention, DH didn't notice them in the morning when he got Lucas ready but my mom did a few hours later (this was yesterday). So I figured hives, but as far as allergens go he hasn't really been exposed to anything new either. I suppose he could have developed a new allergy, but teething was my first though. I'm going to call the dr. this morning.

llij - I'm sorry you got food poisoning on your vacation! :guilty: I really like your picture. I hope you can post more!

val - Glad the low ponytail worked. Good luck with your first long day.

tkyes - Your growth charts are fantastic! I love the polka dot one. I didn't realize they were boards and not fabric. Although it makes sense now why you had trouble finding a box for them. ;)

ginamarie - I hope Olivia feels better soon!

floridafam - I was :lmao: at Kona putting Target and puppy together. I'm surprised Lucas can't say Target yet!

fabumouse - I hope Madeleine gets over the sleep issues. That's what I figured a yeast belly was, and yes, I do have one.

DisKim - Hope your car can be fixed easily. Is it just a dead battery? My car just up and died as I was driving it down the street once. Turns out it was the alternator.

J&D - I hope Jenna feels better soon. Glad it's not serious.

I'll check in later. I don't think the ped's office opens until 9:00 and I want to call DH at home and see if Lucas still has those welts this morning. Have a great day!

I started trying to post a response last night and never got to it. Sorry!

I made it to the clinic yesterday. The kids were bouncing around the drs office like pinballs. They were driving me insane. I have some kind of throat infection, tested negative for strep though. Yet today, my throat still hurts and my neck and lower chin (under my chin) are all swollen. WTH? I have no idea what is wrong with me. I did start taking meds yesterday and am really hoping it works. And I hope I don't get Leif sick. Holy cow, this is so NOT fun.

Tasha - sorry you too have a sore throat. I sure hope it gets better quickly for you.

Robin - I'm glad your meds kicked in quickly and you are on the mend.

FF - $15 min sounds good to me.

GM - hope Olivia is feeling better.

SL - In our house hives seem to come from unknown sources. DD has had them since about the age of 1 and gets them daily unless she takes zyrtec -- now we have switched to claritin, which is also working. Maybe it was a reaction to a bug bite? I hope it's no big deal and Lucas is feeling well. :wizard: Leif also gets periodic hives, I've given him zyrtec a couple times as well.

J&D - How cute that Jenna knows the babies on DIS. My kids are always asking me who everyone is in the pics.

DisKim - sorry about your car adventure yesterday. Funny about your negotiations :goodvibes Glad the dr said you are in good health. That reminds me that I really need to schedule my annual, ick.

Robin - missed some of the map discussion, but we got one for the boys at Target.

jill - you look great in your photo! The whole fam looks wonderful! Thanks for sharing!

tamie - the charts are gorgous! Good luck with them. Glad you found a box to ship them in and that it doesn't cost too much.

fabumouse - I hope the nonsleeping isn't with endless crying. I've been there and done that and the colic is enough to scare me off of babies LOL. But awake and not complaining seems okay. They all go through cycles. Does she sleep in your arms? In the car? Good luck and I hope you get the rest you need!

Hi other moms, gotta run!

I have to take my kids and my friend and her kids to school today for a new student tour -- school here doesn't start until Sept. 5. We leave at 8:15 YIKES!! We are so NOT used to that.

SL - I've never heard of getting hives from teething. Kids come up with some really weird things sometimes.

J&D - That is too cute that Jenna recognizes all of the babies!

Can you believe I still haven't had time to go food shopping since we got home on Sunday? It's pathetic. Every time I could go, Aidan decides to take a 4 hour nap and ruins my day. My grandmother is calling me. She's worse than one of the kids  .

I've got an 11:30 appointment. I'm sure they'll just tell me to give him some Benedryl or something but I'd rather have it looked at just in case. My mom makes yogurt smoothies every morning and saves some for Lucas. She just told me she put fresh peaches in it the other day so that may be the culprit.

glt - sorry you're still not feeling better.

GLT- I'm sorry you are still feeling crummy. I hope the meds they gave you kick in soon.

SL- that's strange about Lucas's hives; let us know what the doctor says.

JD- that's cute that Jenna knows all the kid's names. I took my kid's picture off cause it just seemed too big and someone made a comment about them on another thread that just felt odd to me. :confused3 Maybe I will post another pic of Moll-ee soon so Jenna can see her. I'm glad she isn't sick, although allergies aren't exactly fun.

Kim- bummer about your car dying on you! What a pain. I hope it's nothing too expensive to fix. I meant to say that I find it so interesting that all 3 of your children's coloring is just like their Dad's and not yours! He must have some pretty aggressive genetics or something! Ours are such a hodge-podge- each one has different coloring.

I am extremely angry this morning; I really don't want to talk about it on a public forum, but if you can just pray for me. I am not sure what to do about this situation and I'm just pi$$ed and hurt. Thanks.

Hi everyone - I haven't had a chance to catch up over the last couple of pages yet, but I just wanted to say that I will wait until the Fall exchange is done, and then I will check with everyone who PMs me that they still want to take part in the Christmas Exchange, that way they aren't going to overlap too much.

I hope that's ok . I did wonder what had happened to the rogue exchange, as that woman kept PMing and emailing asking me to take part but cos I had never heard of her I thought I would give it a miss anyway -seems I was lucky!

Fabmouse, you are welcome to take part in the Christmas Exchange just PM me your details - I lurk a lot on the Mom to Be thread and I have read alot of your posts so it's cool with me if you want to take part! :) Welcome to the thread and your baby is beautiful!

Jill I love the picture! You look fine to me!! :teeth:

Gems

GEM,

That sounds like a great idea regarding the Christmas exchange. I'll PM you after the Fall exchange and you can tell us what info you need.

Strawberry Lemonade,

I'm sorry Lucas has hives. Let us know what the Dr. says. :grouphug:

gottalovethem,

I hope you start to feel better soon. It sounds like you are in quite a bit of pain. :grouphug:

DisKim,

Good luck with the baby negotiations. :teeth:

jill,

I love your picture from Disney. You have such a nice looking family.

Robin,

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I hope whatever you are going through passes.

Fabumouse I'll gladly vouch for your credibility for an exchange! After all, you're from Jersey so you must be okay! And I've got that belly too, but I think my solution to help get rid of it will be walking 4 miles to take Madison to/from preschool everyday. It's about a mile each way so seems like more of a hassle to get 2 kids in the car to drive the few minutes so I might as well just walk. Of course, that won't start till 9/6 and I'm not doing anything in the mean time. Probably should start though so I look okay for this wedding I'm in on the 10th.

FF, that is too cute about Kona and Target! She's one smart little girl-and a great future shopper!

DisKim, that's too bad that your car died. Good that you had someone watching the boys, but not a fun thing to deal with either way. And I was thinking the same thing as Robin when I saw your WDW photos, how your kids all look so much like your husband. Everyone says both of mine look like my husband too, but his coloring is pretty similar to mine so it's not as apparent. Plus I honestly don't see a resemblance to either me or him!

Alice28, I'll send some prayers your way and hope that your situation is nothing serious and something that resolves quickly for you. And I hope you're feeling better with your meds now too.

GLT, sorry to hear that you're sick too, but hopefully your meds will help you. Must have been fun going to the dr with all 3 kids-reminds me of my ultrasound the week before Henry was born with Madison running around the room with my wallet and raising my bed up and down. And to add 2 more to the mix probablyw ould have sent me over the edge. Oh, and Madison's gotta be at school by 8am, so since we're walking (and fairly slowly I imagine with 2 kids) we'll have to leave our house around 7:30 so we'll be in for a shock too. I think next week I'll have to start getting into the routine.

SL, I hope Lucas' hives aren't anything serious. That would be great if you can confirm it's the peaches so that you won't have to keep guessing what the problem is. Let us know how he's doing.

J&D, that's so cute that Jenna recognizes everyone's kids! She sounds like she's quite the talker too-I know Madison would not have been able to say even 1 name at that age.

Jill, that's a great family photo from DL! I can't wait to see more of your photos. I had a problem with imagestation this week too so I can see why you only uploaded the one photo so far. I think your "belly" looked pretty darn good, especially for someone who had surgery just a couple of weeks earlier! And btw, my mom got super sick from eating prime rib in DL when I was 10yo. I will vividly remember driving to San Diego with her stopping every few miles cause she was so sick. I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but she is no longer a big prime rib eater to this day. Oh, and I'll be asking about stronger pain meds for Henry since John was aroudn the same age at his surgery and he got them. They actually didn't say anything about pain meds in my meeting with the dr and I didn't notice it till I was home and read it in the pamphlet he gave me. I'm a big fan of pain meds for kids though, especially preverbal ones, so I'll definitely ask about it now.

Tamie, we have a real swing, but because I can't find our wrench I can't tighten the bolt that attaches the seat to the frame so I've been using our travel swing. It's the Fisher Price aquarium travel swing, if you have that one. Does it recline? I guess I'll go check it out. I never really thought about that before so thanks for bringing it up.

I hear Joey reaching his limit of being alone with both kids so I guess I should go. Of course, Henry is sleeping and how much work is Madison? Sometimes I think I must be superwoman to handle them myself since he gets so easily overwhelmed. Yet he wonders why I want to go to the mall while he's home today to get Madison school shoes (it's tax free shopping days in MD!) rather than myself tomorrow.

Just back from the ped - it's definitely hives and the most likely reason is fresh peaches. He's had canned and of course the Gerber stage 1 & 2 peaches but the fresh fruit is what likely caused the reaction. He's on Benedryl and a steroidal medicine (can't remember the name but I know it's not Prednizone) and also an anti-fungal cream for the diaper rash he picked up with all his loose poops. Anyway, they won't be doing any testing unless it doesn't clear up with the meds and by staying away from peaches.

Alice28 - :grouphug: Sending prayers for you. I understand not being able to talk about it. Feel free to PM me if you need to let it out.

justhat - Walking to/from preschool will be fantastic exercise. Walking around our neighborhood is really the best exercise I get.

glt - Sorry you're still not feeling well. Good luck with the school tour.

Hi to all the other moms! I'm looking forward to the tennis match tonight, especially after the week I've been having so far. To top it all off, Auntie Flo decided to pay a visit this morning.

alice - {{hugs}} to you. I'm sorry to hear you're so upset and going through a hard time right now. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk.

sl - Wow, who would have thought that canned would be ok and fresh not so much? I'm glad you found the culprit. Hope it clears up soon!

justthat - You are superwoman! LOL :) That walk sounds like a great idea to lose the post baby weight.

sorry for the short post - gotta run!

tamie

Robin - Prayers being said for you. :grouphug: I hope that whatever is going on resolves itself very quickly. We are all here for you if you need to talk to us.

SL - I'm glad that they were able to give you medicine for Lucas. Fresh fruit would sometimes make my kids break out when they were Lucas' age. Sorry to hear that Auntie Flo is making a visit. I can honestly say that I don't miss that.

Justhat - I was thinking of going up to MD to take advantage of the tax free shopping too. Do you head to White Flint or one of the malls nearby you? I was thinking of hitting the Hagerstown Outlets.

That is good that you are going to ask about meds for Henry and his recovery from surgery. The tylenol with codeine worked great, but the morphine ended up making John not want to breath which gave us the scare when he was in the hospital. The doctor told us that this happens with babies sometimes.

GLT - I'm sorry to hear that you are still feeling bad. I hope that the medicine kicks in soon. Yikes about having to be out of the house at 8:15 too! Meagan didn't even get out of bed until 9:30 today. She is going to be so tired when school starts. How did the open house go today?

DisKim - Sorry to hear that your car broke down. Is it all fixed now? Also, that is good news that your OB/Gyn gave you the all clear for having another child! I cracked up when you said you might need a lawyer for negotiations. :rotfl2:

Gems - How is your niece doing? BTW, I'm in for the Christmas exchange!

J&D - I hope that Jenna feels better soon!

Hi to Floridafam, Tamie and everyone! :wave2:

John is up from his nap so I gotta run! I'll try to post more pictures later tonight.

Hi all. Thank you for the well wishes! I just don't do well with sore throats, it affects my eating, and I LOVE to eat ;) With the meds I do have to eat so not to get sick so I have been making mushy foods, including soggy cereal for myself. As long as I keep popping the Advil and stay away from "sharp" and acidy foods my throat doesn't hurt. And it does feel like things can move down my throat easier than the other day, so that's progress :thumbsup2 I'm sure I sound like such a baby, but who else can I complain to? The kids don't care :rotfl:

Did I mention that the dr. said that DS has an ear infection :confused3 I had no idea. He's been a cranky PITA lately, but never complained of anything hurting him. When I asked why he didn't tell me he said "i don't want to talk about it" -- WT..? He said that the other day to me too when he was extremely upset about something. He's already stuffing the complaints, typical male, wait til it all comes to a head and then explode. I'll try my best to nip it while he's young. :sunny:

The walk-through school seemed to go okay. I think we can hold off visiting until Sept. 1, after we get back from our trip. I hope all these visits help DD.

J&D - the letter from Tink was a hit and much appreciated. Thank you.

Robin - prayers and hugs your way :wizard: :grouphug:

Jill - getting back into the groove for school is tough. Poor Meagan isn't gonna like waking up so early :sad2:

sl - wow, you got all kinds of meds, it must have been pretty bad. I hope Lucas feels better soon. :wizard:

val - I hope your long day is going well today!

Tamie, bnb, zalansky, bellacam, hillbeans, GM, Gems, fabumouse and all other Mommies HI! Have a great afternoon!

Good afternoon all! I really should get back to packing stuff while I have the time, it's just been a madhouse around here! I spent a lot of time yesterday running around because the Tahiti building at the Poly is closed for renovations--that's where we watned to stay. Of course, they don't guarantee you a specific building, but it just threw us into a tail spin. MIL wanted lagoon view anywhere and I think picked Aoroteroa (sp?). We wanted either garden view Rapa Niu, tried to upgrade to Hawaii (concierge), and they tried to stick us in the GF for a mere $900 more! Uh, no thank you! We wound up in Rapa Niu (hopefully). Then I talked to MIL again, she was going to try to change to be next to us, but was so drunk she coudln't remember things 5 minutes later, and I'm hoping she forgets to call and change her stuff. Then I had to sit and listen to her go on for an hour about our DNiece9--she and MIL just got back from a 10 day trip to Alaska. Problem is, MIL always comes back from these jaunts with tons of complaints and mean comments about the grandchild she takes, which is another reason why we won't let Jocelyn go, even if Jocelyn wanted to. Okay, I'll stip ranting now, just promise me you'll post bail if I haul of and kill MIL and throw her body into the lake.

Kim--I hear you on negotiations for another child. If you don't ask, you won't get it. We definitely negotiated before #4. I hope your car is better.

glt--I hope you and the kids are feeling better soon. Still waiting for those "mom sick days" to kick in!

justthat--the walking sounds nice, esp. in good weather. Long about January it may not be, but do it while you can.

J&D--Yes, I got the check, thank you. Sorry I forgot to mention it, my mind is totally gone.

Jill--I'm not getting psyched for school to start for Jocelyn, either. The bus comes at 7 am, so she'll have to be up by 6:15. Up till now I've driven them in at 8:50 for the elementary, and then 7:40 on Fridays when she takes the bus for her gifted class. But there's no way I'm driving kids in twice in one day, so she's going to have to suck it up. Although I may cave on Fridays. The real kicker is, we're a mile and a half from school--she's the first one on the bus because we live on a corner. She literally could walk to school faster. If it weren't along a county and then a state highway, I might actually suggest that.

I have to go--the pests are out and bored. I think it's time to tell them to clean something. they'll still be bored, but won't bother asking me to keep them entertained!

Well Mommies, I just listed my first item on ebay for sale.

my id is "msspackler" if you want to take a look. Please let me know if I set up the auction correctly and any other pointers you have.

I'll check back later. We are going to make cookies. Today was early release day (every Wednesday the kids get out at 1:40)

Robin,

I'm going to send you a PM
