Good morning! My students are finishing outlines today, so I actually have some "free" time. I managed to get my plans done for the rest of the month. I now have to spend about an hour coping worksheets for the lessons.

As I type I am hoping the contractors are taking the roof off our house. I have two before pics from the spring...

House007.jpg

I'm going to take some roofless pics when I get home after my hair appointment.

Alice - I'm so happy your procedure was a success!

All of the Halloween pics are adorable!

Jill - Jimmy got a decent amount of candy, even though we just went to a few houses. Unfortunately, all of the Snickers are gone. I think I polished off the last of the Almond Joys last night, too.

floridafam - Glad you're feeling better today. These days I feel like crying all the time. I'm chalking it up to hormones and my house being demolished.

Tamie - Jimmy like to do things the big boy way now. He does a pretty good job with the fork and spoon. I haven't been brave enough to give him his own yogurt; I usually feed it to him. I can just see it spattered on my walls.

BnB - Great pics from WDW and Halloween! I love your daughter's Elmo shoes.

I'm going to see if I can do some online shopping. If the filters are turned off, I'm good to go.

lissawynn,

You must be so excited and stressed at the same time!! I love seeing pictures of remodels. :thumbsup2 Take it easy and just remember that it will all be finsished someday and look fantastic!!

I love your house in the pictures and I'm anxious to see what it is going to look like as a 2 story.

Welll Mommies,

I did some switching around on my Birthday trip. I came to the conclusion that that is just too much too close to Christmas so I switched our trip to Jan. 31-February 3.

Then, I called the Marriott in Sand Key and booked that for my Birthday instead. They had a special package that includes a pool cabana the next day with lounges, a tv, fridge, etc. So, I'll be spending the day in there.

I feel a lot better aboout going somewhere after Christmas and not spending a ton of money right before the holidays.

Loretta,

Hopefully, we can meet up. If you and your family want to come over to Sand Key for a mini meet, let me know. :thumbsup2

Now all I have to do is decide where we are staying in March. :sunny:

Good morning~

I am feeling kinda crummy again this AM- I need to go to the store and buy some multi-vitamins to take I think. I'm getting tired of feeling so-so, as is my DH. I felt pretty uncomfortable last night- not in pain per se, but I decided to take one of my heavy duty pain pills so I could sleep...boy did I! Almost feel hungover this morning! I'm doing a wait n see with Joshua before I send him to school. He acted FINE all yesterday, ate a TON of spaghetti, just one piece of candy after dinner....and then around 9 he calmly walked to the potty, and proceeded to throw up. Such a difference from my spazoid older son who freaks out when he has to throw up and rarely makes it to the bathroom on time! He's acting fine this AM, but I'm leery of sending him to school if he might upchuck again, you know? Plus he has a soccer game this afternoon- that I think is a definite 'no.'

FF- I have to say that at least by you living in Florida, there is never a shortage of vacation type things to do, right? I think your change of plans sounds nice- I hope you have a great time! It is hard to commit to spending a lot of money right around Christmas. I'm still trying not to think about Christmas too much. I would say I have about 30-40% of my shopping done though. I need a few more things for Molly and Sam (waiting for his bday to pass first though), my dad, something simple for the nephews and niece, and DH. I ordered a bunch of photos of the kids throughout the year and am making MIL a scrapbook. I'm done with Josh and Mom except for stocking things. I'm going to talk to my friends about just meeting at a restaurant to celebrate the holidays instead of buying trinkets for everyone. That gets hard, and then I feel guilty cause I'm the only one with 3 kids- everyone else has 1 or 2- I feel like my friends have to spend too much money or something.

Well, that was a tangent I didn't expect to go on!

lissawynn- you have such a cute brick house! They are a rarity on this coast! I love Almond Joys too, and my kids got a ton of them this year :thumbsup2 And I think all 3 of them got full sized Snickers, and Sam I know doesn't like nuts very much....I think I will be getting one.

LOL- Josh just asked for something to eat and I said, "OK, but eat it slowly and then if you feel sick go to the bathroom....I don't want you to go to school today if you don't feel good. I would hate for you to throw up at school" He said, "Mommy, they have toilets there to throw up in." :rotfl2: Yes, Josh, they do....

SL- hope you find some good scrappy stuff at Joann's. I just signed up for a 'sticker of the month' thing with Mrs. Grossmans. I figure it's a good way to get the seasonal stickers without overspending at the scrapbook store like I always do. I will see how the first month or two goes- it looks like good stuff! DH has drill this weekend, and my mom has some training she is going to, so I think I will just hang out here all day Saturday and try to catch up on my scrapbook. It's cold and rainy here for the next umpteen days, so perfect weather for scrappin.

Anyway, I don't know much else except that I need to get to the store for those vitamins and some produce. We are clean out of most fruits and veggies!

Robin,

Sorry you are feeling so-so. Have you ever had your thyroid checked? :confused3 I hope you feel better soon. :grouphug:

lissawynn - I can't wait to see some current construction pictures!

ff- Your plans sound great! I'm glad that you found something you are more comfortable with. Your birthday stay sounds wonderful! Did you get my PM?

sl - Target got some new scrapbooking stuff in. I wanted to check it out yesterday, but I would rather look without DH rolling his eyes. ;)

alice - Oh what a pain about the tire! I would have been pretty P'O'd!

I'm stuck at home today without a car. We don't usually go too many places, but when you know you can't, you feel kinda antsy! Nothing major, just having my brakes done.

I think I'm going to get out of the house tonight and do some shopping. DH is going hunting this weekend so it will just be me and Tyler. I think I need some "me" time before DH leaves.

Snack time is over - gotta run!

tamie

ugh - my car is totally out of commission and now I am not sure what to do about the kids' schools. Ick. DH brought dd to school but I think we will have to walk to pick her up -- it's just under a mile, which I know is nothing for Justhat - but for me it's a biggie, not used to it. It's not the end of the world, but it really bites the big one.

Ugh again -- Leif is miserable, I tried putting him in his crib, I thought he was asleep, but I hear him screaming again, so I have to run.

Tamie - glad you are getting your brakes taken care of and that you will have a car this evening!

Robin - sorry you are stillnot feeling well

bnb - loved the photos! with four munchkins I wouldn't worry so much about it all being neat allt he time, it's certainly not in our house!

ok, gotta get leif

Morning! Sleeping boy in my arms - won't stay in bed. My own Auntie Flo is here so maybe I can actually start my pills on Sunday. Unfortunately my jeans are tight and I'm really hoping "she" is the reason and not the 7 or 8 pounds of candy sitting around here all day without Hannah guarding it.

DH isn't upset with me except for the fact that he's wondering if I just think he's a "total idiot" and he thinks I'm questioning his judgement which I am not. He's most likely flying down to Atlnta to meet with some guys next week. We haven't said anything to the girls yet, but I'm thinking they'll wonder soon about all the cleaning/fixing going on.

robin - sorry you are still not feeling well but yay for your "freedom"!! Hope Joshua is feeling better. Oh and be prepared for those Polly Pocket things...once you start, you can't stop!! We have "Polly World" around here and Hannah wants even more for Christmas!!

glt - no fun to be without a car - especially since it's gotta be freezing up there - highs in mid-30's here.

tykes - I agree...you need some "you" time! Go shopping!

floridafam - love your new plans! That cabana sounds heavenly!

lissawynn - can't wait to see the "after"pics! Hope you are really feeling better now!!

sl - I can always find a reason to go ti Target!

buzznbelle - LOVE the pics of your cuties!!! Your family room looks just fine!!

jill - my girls are the same way with their candy - we had little piles all over tyhe family room! They've never thought of graphing it, though - too cute! Love the chickens!

Fabumouse - haven't heard from you...doing ok?

Well, another day sitting at home waiting on plumbers, They came by and double checked our type (we have this funky disposal that you have to put a plug thing in to turn it on instead of just flipping a switch) and they left to go pick up a new one. Who knows when they shall return. I had several errands to run plus at 4:30 I begin my activity drivivg for the girls so they had better be finished. I guess since I can't get to the store we're having baked potatos and salad for dinner - that;s about all I have!

Hi to all the wonderful mommies!!! Have a great day!!!!!

*edited to add - srry for the typos everywhere - I only have one hand!

Hi ladies! As usual, I don't have time to post much. I feel so bad. I have just had a crazy week. Hopefully I can get caught up this weekend. I did read everything though!

I have to come back to school tonight. I was named by one of my students as a "guiding influence" in her life when she applied for the National Honor Society. I got an invitation to come to the induction and I think I will be getting recognized. I'm really shy when it comes to this stuff. I don't like getting up in front of adults. I'm totally flattered and very proud of Brittany (I've known her since her freshman year), so I will be attending. I'm so glad DH is not working tonight. No other teacher I've asked has ever gotten this so I really don't know what to expect.

Jill - JP is the cutest little chick I've ever seen!!

robin - Congratulations on the procedure being a success. Too funny about the pad!

Well, I hope to eventually have time to post Halloween pictures. Aidan has been a handful lately so I can't really get on the computer. He went missing again yesterday and I found him on the front porch....again. I've already alerted the neighbors to his wanderlust so hopefully he will be returned if they ever find him out wandering around  . It makes me feel like such a bad mother when he does that to me, but sometimes I have to tend to Emmy and Alex too. If he is out of my line of sight for 2 seconds, he walks out the front door. The little rat never attempts it if I'm next to him.

Hi all! I have two sleeping children--life is good!

I really don't fret too much about the mess that is my family room--we were trying to get the picture done and get out the door before we needed another bathroom break/feed/whatever, so it's probably messier than normal due to us rushing. Plus, it's just messy, as opposed to, say, filthy.

Yesterday I went and made another 12 meals for our family--it really is fun, and the dishes are tasty.

Jill--to funny about the graphing candy thing. That sounds so much like something Jocelyn would do! John's chicken/duck outfit is just adorable.

FF--Your birthday plans sound fun. I figure any vacation is a good thing, right?

Alissa--It'll be fun to watch your remodel from a distance.

glt--I think I would DIE without a car! At least in the evenings, when we run to 8000 activities. I could walk my kids to school, but the walk home would be 1 1/2 miles--uphill most of the way! No, thank you!

Robin--I hope you feel better. try not to overdo the first few days.

Darn it, Luke's awake! That kid is uncanny, I tell you! And I have this nasty canker sore that hurts like the dickens! At least I'm not tempted to eat any candy--it's hard staring at all that chocolate and knowing I can't have any.

Our house is now roofless! I went home during my prep and the shingles were gone. Three of us left for lunch and we could see heads poking between the rafters! I'll post some pics later. I am excited b/c things have FINALLY moved forward. There is no turning back now!

Alice - I hope you're feeling better.

ff - Glad your vacation plans worked out.

Tamie - I know how you feel about not having a car. Just the fact that you can't go makes you want to leave and go somewhere.

DisKim - Have a good time tonight at the ceremony! If you get kudos tonight, enjoy them! You deserve it!

We're having locker clean out next period. You wouldn't believe the stuff these kids manage to keep in their lockers...

bnb - Ouch on the canker sore, those little buggers hurt!

lissawynna - Woo hoo on the roof!

diskim - What a great honor for you! You should be very proud of yourself!

diz - Don't you just hate waiting for people to arrive and do stuff on your house. Like you have nothing better to do.

glt - I'm so sorry to hear you don't have a car! I hope your walk goes quickly, it's cold out!!!

Anyone ever been to mickey's very merry christmas party? I just found out that it starts one of the days we'll be there. I don't know that it's worth it for us to go, I don't know how much Tyler would get out of it. Any reviews out there?

:rotfl2: OHMIGOSH..I just have to share my experience with you. I just went into the kitchen to heat up Carson's bottle and I got not one, BUT TWO "PLUMBER BUTTS" shining up at me!!!!! :scared1: I swear, it was like something you would see on a sitcom or something. ICK!!! I high-tailed it out of there fast! :rotfl2: And just in case you're wondering, no, they weren't exactly cute. Darn.

YIKES! Like the Norge repairman on that old SNL skit?!? :rotfl2:

Yay lissawynn on your house project being underway! That's exciting! :cheer2:

Kim- Congratulations on your student choosing you as an important influence on her life- that's so neat! Must make you feel like it's worthwhile!

BNB- my house is often messy too, but rarely if ever filthy. I think most people with kids have the clutter issue.

GLT- I hope your car is fixed mega-fast! What a pain!

Tamie- have fun shopping tonight!

I went shopping this morning after Josh got on the bus. I went to the Fred Meyer down in my parent's town, looking for the Disney Polly Pockets....they had a ton! Woo! So I got Molly Cindy and Sleeping Beauty, a baby doll stroller and an Ariel purse, all to put aside for Christmas. I think I am going to get her a thing of play food I saw at Costco for her Dora kitchen, and call it good for her for Christmas. I already bought her the dress up clothes, so she will have enough. Of course I may have to get her a Gymbo thing or two, but clothes don't count, right?

I also got something for my secret pal's child! Woo! All the toys at this store were on sale today- glad I didn't buy yesterday or I wouldn't have gotten the extra 10% off.

Molly was acting soooo sleepy 40 minutes ago, and I can hear her having a party in her room. She's starting to cry now. Sigh. She BETTER nap or I am going to cry!

FF- I looked up the thyroid symptoms (hypo and hyper) and it doesn't quite fit. I just KNOW it's the depo that has me down in the dumper emotionally, and I think I just can't shake this pink eye thing, so my immune system is down a bit. And I forgot to buy the stupid vitamins at the store! D'oh!

Hi everybody,
First, I just love all the Halloween pics  . I really wish we all lived closer to each other so we could get all the cuties together to play regularly :sunny: .

I'm so sorry I've been MIA this week and don't have enough time to post a proper catch-up with everyone. I am still reading though.

DS got sent home from school because he has pink eye  . The dr. informed us that we will probably all catch it now. I really hope that doesn't happen. The kid was just sent home from school on Friday with a raging ear infection. It's been quite hectic here.

Halloween was great. It was a gorgeous night. I uploaded some pics to my pc but I'm having trouble finding them to upload them to photobucket  . I'll try again after this post.

I found out yesterday that my boss is actually giving me a raise at work because she is so happy with my job performance :) . That is always nice to hear. Well, I hear Katrina into something in the living room so I guess I should go check that out. Take care my dis friends :wave2: . Know that I am thinking of all of you even when I am not posting.

Here's my motely crew. Dh and ds as skeletons and Katrina as Minnie :) .

Hi everyone! :sunny:

I'm taking a quick break to say "Hi!" and then it is back to the books for me. Working in the schools during the day and then trying to study at night is killing me. My house is a wreck as well, but there isn't much I can do about it at the moment.

DisKim - CONGRATS on the recognition! That is wonderful and what an honor for you. :thumbsup2 I can't wait to hear how the ceremony went and how they recognized you.

Lissawynn - That is great that they got the roof off. I can't wait to see a picture of how it is going.

Robin - I'm sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. Take it easy as much as you can, ok? :grouphug:

Val - I love the Halloween picture of your family! Congrats on the raise too! It sounds like you are doing a great job at work.

Floridafam - I'm glad that everything worked out with your vacation and that you are still going away for your birthday.

GLT - Sorry to hear about your car! I hope it is working again soon.

Dizagain - Yikes! Two plumbers showing you their behinds? That must have been a sight to see!

Justhat - You might be off to Disney at this point, but I hope that you have a great trip!

BNBmom - Canker sores are such a pain...literally! I hate it when I get them b/c it makes eating quite painful. I'm so sorry that you have to avoid chocolate as well.

SL - That is a good move to start with one class. It is best to ease yourself into your program. I started off taking one class at a time for the first year and then I added more classes on. I bet you will do great in school!!

Tamie - I've been to two of the MVMCP and we are going to our third one next month. I liked it, but once is enough for me. We are only going again b/c my parents really enjoyed it and they are paying. :teeth: I think the parade is great and watching it snow on Main Street is pretty magical. The carolers (sp?) singing is pretty nice as well. We usually go to soak up the atmosphere more than to ride the rides. Sorry that I don't have any tips for what it would be like with a toddler as John was 6 weeks old when we went last year. So....after my ramblings, I guess I feel that it is worth it to try it once for the experience. I hope that this helps.

Hi to all the moms! :wave2:
I'm sorry if I am missing anyone! I need to run at hit the books again. My new mantra is "Only 5 more weeks of classes....only 5 more weeks of classes...." I'm so ready to have a break!

Okay, I have a few minutes to catch up.

Kim,
Congrats on the recognition! That is such an honor.

Lissawynn,
I hope all goes quickly with the house :wizard: .

Robin,
I'm so happy for you that the procedure worked. You must be so happy! And LOL about the pad story.

Jill,
I wish I could come over and give you a hand. You sound like you've got a lot on your plate right now. I'm sure the 5 weeks can't go by fast enough for you ;) .

Tamie,
We went to two MVMCP in Dec. '04 and I thought they were very crowded. It was a neat experience but nothing I am dieing to do again. Also because it's late, it can be a lot for kids.

GLT,
I hope the car trouble is taken care of quickly. I wouldn't be looking forward to a mile long walk with all the kids either. I don't know how Justine does it.

Hi again to all. I really need to get off here and clean up my pit of a house as well as switch laundry and make dinner for tomorrow night since it's my long night. Talk to you all soon.

DisKim,

Congratulations! That must feel great to know that your students feel that way about you. :thumbsup2

Just wanted to say hi. :wave2:

I caught the crud from DH so it's early to bed for me. Thank goodness he has the day off tomorrow.

Have a wonderful evening.

I'm finally almost up to 100% Ladies! :woohoo: I am so excited!! I even had my first real food tonight outside of toast and rice. I think it's over!!

We did dress up Disco Jace and let him go to a few houses. My Brother and SIL came by with the kids and they went with Jace. It was cute. He had a ball. He had a little cloth ghost bucket I got from Target that he would not let anyone else hold. He loved the candy wrapper colors (especially the PB Cups as Orange is his favorite). Now I have all this candy and I don't know what to do with it. My pictures aren't too good (I'll hopefully get better one's this sunday at our rescheduled Halloween Party). Sorry if they turn out too big too...I have such a hard time w/photobucket getting the right size. I wish their was an easier way.

IMG_2194.jpg

BTW, I love everyone's photos and costumes!!!

Thanks to whoever has posted about Mickey Mouse Clubhouse - what a cute show. I've Tivoed a few episodes to try to introduce Jace to the Disney characters (besides his pals pooh and tigger).

Floridafam: Oh No! I hope you didn't get DH's sickness. :wizard: and chicken soup for you.

Val: :woohoo: Way to go at work. They must really be pleased with you. Glad to hear the good news.

Jill: You should have dressed as Superwoman for Halloween! Pls do something nice for yourself this coming weekend and relax. Personally, I think John's costume is a duck (he looks adorable by the way). My friend dressed her kid as the chicken and it had the wattle on the front.

Robin: Sorry to hear you still aren't feeling well. Great finds! What is Fred Myer btw? I can't believe how far ahead you are on the holiday shopping. I haven't even really thought about it. Congrats on the successful procedure :)

Dizagain: :rotfl2: The plumbers cracks!! :rotfl2: What a site that must of been....EEK!!!

Tkyes: Did you get your "me time". What do you and Tyler have planned for the mommy and Tyler weekend?

Zalanksy: Love the wig!! How are you feeling these days with the Lyme's?

BNB:Canker sores - Ouch!!! I always make a salt paste and put it right on it and it burns something awful - but works for me. 12 meals - wow! What kinds did u make?

T&S: How are you feeling? :wizard: and chicken soup for you too. Kylie is so cute...she is such a mini-Tasha. Love that she called the pumpkin a ball.

SL: As usual, Lucas is adorable. Loved the rest of your Trip report.

GM: pls post a pictures of Olivia's blanket. I'm so envious. I can barely sew a button :rotfl: Hope you didn't have another bad day at work and that you are feeling better :grouphug:

WDWB: Cute pics. I got a good chuckle about Aubree being much happier as piglet. She looks so cute.

Lissawyn: So glad to hear the progress with the house project...that must be an interesting sight to see.

Staci: I puked in a pool as a kid it was the grossest feeling ever as I was underwater. I would have been so skeeved about the floating chunks...GROSS!!

DisKim: What an honor to named someone's guiding influence. Sounds like you are an amazing teacher and your students do appreciate it (despite the difficult times you probably have with some kids). I can't wait to hear how you will be recognized. I know you said it's tough to be in the limelight for you but please SOAK IT IN...It's well deserved!

GLT: Whats going on with the car situation? Any update? :grouphug: to you.

Hi Bellacam, Nucpharm, and Hillbeans - hope you are doing well.

Well, tonight is my LOST night as once again I fell asleep 5 minutes into it. Gotta run. What's on deck for the weekend? I think Nucpharm it's Matthew's party right?? I have lunch plans w/my friend Sat and Sunday my rescheduled family Halloween Party (I can't wait..I'm making that gross kitty-litter cake).
Have a great night all!
:)

Joats~ yay for feeling better! Jace is a crack up in his costume! I love it!

Fred Meyer is one of those stores that has everything from grocery to clothing to toys to hardware to plants to household goods. It's cool. They have a pretty good toy selection and so I was thrilled to get those things on sale today.

No plans this weekend except Sam has a soccer game Saturday morning. I am supposed to be taking all 3 kids out to Josh's game right now, but Molly is still napping and I feel cruddy still. Plus it's raining cats and dogs out there- forget it! (it's an indoor soccer arena though, so no cancelling on their part).

Hi Jill! Only 5 more weeks! 5 more weeks! I am sure you are doing a great job in school, and holding down the fort at home- you are Wonder Woman!

FF- sounds like we got the cruds together. I just have a headache and am a bit achy and crampy still. I took a bath after Molly went to bed and I did some relaxation technique stuff and that helped. I shouldn't have taken that pain pill last night- I think it seriously gave me a hangover!

Val- WTG on the raise! :woohoo: That's awesome! Love the pics of your family too- Katrina makes a sweet Minnie Mouse! ::MinnieMo

I called DH awhile ago and asked him to bring home some Chinese, as I want some soup for dinner. He has been soooo busy at work lately- I barely got my request in and he was like, "gotta go." The first couple of months he was at this job he was semi-bored....that is no more! He has military drill this weekend, so I will not see him til Sunday night after tonight.

OH! I have this 20% off coupon to a local pharmacy/mega Hallmark store/trinket store.....my mom said she got their flyer in her mail today and all their CROCS are 50%! I am so there tomorrow morning. She said they showed the flipflops in the mailer and those are what I want for both DH and I. I live in my Crocs, and he's always putting mine on to go outside (yes, we wear the same shoe size  in fact, my feet are even a bit wider than his- just call me Fred.....Fred Flinstone). :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I'm very excited and pray they will still have some left by the time I get there. Crocs aren't as big here in the NW- esp now that it's raining all the time. I wore mine today to the store and was like, "This was a mistake....I now have soaking wet feet!" Duh!

FAB- where are you? Are you surviving with your DH being gone?

Hi Ryan! Hi Cabmom! Hi JD! Hi Hillbeans! Hi Bellacam! Tasha! Z! Anyone else who hasn't posted in awhile, hope you can pop in soon! :grouphug:
