The Official May 2015 Thread!!

Haven't officially booked anything yet, but after comparing cost of airfare + hotels (8 nights at Pop, 1 at Royal Pacific Resort), the cheapest time for us to go is May 4-13. We will be arriving in Orlando at either 11:15 or 11:45 am on May 4, and taking a taxi to RPR. We will leave there in the early evening of May 5 (after a day at the park and some shopping) and head over to Pop. Hoping for a seat sale, but will be booking before Christmas, as we have decided our Christmas gifts to each other will be plane tickets to Florida

We just booked our trip for 4/28 - 5/2/15! So excited! We're staying at POFQ and so far only have 2 ADRs set.

Day 1- arriving early in the morning, so we'll probably grab some lunch at the hotel, and dinner in Downtown Disney. Drinks at the Scat's Cat's Club to wrap up our day

Day 2- Epcot: Dinner at Le Cellier for our anniversary

Day 3- MK: Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table

Day 4- We're planning on going to HS this day, and we really want to check out Sci- Fi Dine In, but don't want to commit on a time, so we'll probably wing it.

Day 5: Checking out early, but our flight isn't until late at night, so we'll probably spend the day at AK and have lunch at Rainforest Cafe

The good news is my DH surprised me by agreeing to plan a week long WDW trip and the week we can go is in MAY 2015!

The bad news is he waited until literally 2 days after my 180 ADR window would have been and the only ADR I really cared about (BOG) is unavailable the entire week!

To do Disney or not to do Disney has been a bit of a source of contention between us, so I'm super happy he is on board, I just have been trying to eat at this restaurant ever since it opened and have never managed to score an ADR. I went with my mom in OCT and could not even get a Lunch FP.

Right now I'm leaning toward staying at POR, but still debating options. It will ultimately depend on if any discounts come out. Dates are 9-16 and I'm wondering if those dates will have a deal coming out soon? If I book at rack rate, can I change it later?

Don't worry! You will get a BOG eventually! Just keep checking and one will pop I promise!
We went a few weeks ago and I did not get a dinner ADR, but would check from time to time and sure enough a few weeks before we went some dinner times poped up. So I would not be too worried about it at this time.

You can book now and add the discount when it comes out. We just booked AOA LM rooms. I am sure their won't be any discounts for me Oh well we really want to check it out.

I would go ahead and plan everything else and keep trying for BOG

Hi everyone!

First time posting in this thread! We'll be there from 5/3 to 5/8 (staying off site, arriving late on 5/2 and leaving early on 5/9) and I was thrilled to be able to book all the ADRs and special packages I wanted. We're going to eat several meals in the timeshare and in the Orlando area as well. I would have liked BOG for our last night but am OK with not having it, because we ate there on our last trip last November.

Day 1 - Magic Kingdom at rope drop (B: resort, L: QS at MK) rest at resort then dinner off site -- then Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise for my Captain Hook obsessed 5-year-old son!

Day 2 - SLEEP IN (the boy isn't used to late nights) then EPCOT mid-afternoon to the evening. QS dinner there, no clue where.

Day 3 - B: Tusker House (AK until lunch) D: 50's Primetime Cafe (Fantasmic that night)

Day 4 - Magic Kingdom

Day 5 - Animal Kingdom day / EPCOT in the evening

Day 6 - B: Hollywood & Vine (HS until lunchtime) D: The Plaza Restaurant and will end our trip at MK.

If Disney offers the Star Wars Galactic Dine-In Breakfast again, we'll try to get that either day 4 or 5. Either way, we'll still go to the parks listed after breakfast. Keeping my fingers crossed!

If you are not set on dinner there lunch fastpass+ may be an option. It does not count towards your three per day. Also it looks like they may be opening up breakfast in the Spring of 2015. Here is a link to a helpful board: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3310867&page=1

I made my adr's today and I was able to get bog. The funny thing is that when I asked about it the cm said nope, none available. I said really??? How is that possible? More mumbling to myself in disbelief when she said oh wait, there they are!! I don't know what the deal was with that but thought I would mention it. I had called around 8 and made my initial adr's, then decided later to try for bog (don't ask

Change of plans! Not staying at CBR now :-/ Booked All Star Movies instead. I hope we made the right decision. I'm so worried about the cheerleaders taking over while we are there! LOL! I did request a top floor, away from the pool!

We just got a new travel trailer and are excited to be staying at the Fort -Preferred campsite.

There are 6 of us and we are looking forward to celebrating two graduations (high school & college) Disney style!

ADR's made for first few days, but have to wait for Friday, May 22 @ Hollywood & Vine (Star Wars) and Saturday, May 23 @ Cindy's (POSSIBLE Rock Your Disney Side Event!!??) ** The ADR CM I spoke with last night told me to watch the Christmas Parade & if/when Disney shows a commercial/announcement for Rock Your Disney Side to pick up the phone and call IMMEDIATELY for ADR's for May 23. This is only speculation, but our entire family is crossing all our fingers and toes that RYDS will be 6 AM Saturday, May 23 - 6 AM Sunday, May 24!!
Can anyone confirm a date??

Why don't you just book them now? Are you looking at places that need to be prepaid and want a dining plan to substitute prepaying?

I added on one day at the end of the trip (the 12th) at CSR.
