***the official may 2013 thread***

Ok I have clients that want to go to star Wars weekend and I was wondering when te first weekend will be if anyone knows please let me know Thank You:thumbsup2

Hi all! I just recently watched on Destination channel about Disney Resorts and Rides and even DTD and am so excited now that I can't sleep...lol. It seems like this trip is getting closer and closer and I can't wait to go. I'm still having trouble trying to figure out where to eat our last night there on the 23rd. Any suggestions?

I know isnt it just so exciting with a May trip planned being well 'just around the corner' we like rainforest cafe in DTD on our last night. Dont know why but its always a real winner with us! Then we do one more little look n shop in world of disney! Its our little routine. We come to WDW from the UK every year ( started out as lets just do this once had it all planned like you as a one of trip of a lifetime and got hooked ) . Every year is just as good in fact I think it gets better! Enjoy!

Dates haven't been released yet. I'm impatiently waiting myself! :lmao:

If it follows the pattern of the last 4-5 years, it should be the weekend before Memorial Day (May 17th-18th-19th); Memorial Day weekend (May 24th-25th-26th); the first weekend in June (May 31st-June 1st-June 2nd); and the second weekend in June (June 7th-8th-9th)

Hope this helps!

I am somewhat hopeful for a late May trip. It looks like Mardi Gras is out and we still need to get a reliable ride. DW is also not real keen on the heat.

Last day restaurant for us for many years was Captain Jacks in the village. Good food .Seafood heavy of course sitting on the lake there. Otherwise just see what you come across in your stay and wing it at the end! :goodvibes

So excited to be able to join all of you on this thread! Will be "home" for my May 8 birthday! Dates are May 5-10. Bringing my 4 y/o DD and my 22 y/o cousin as a treat for graduating nursing school. Leaving DH home with infant (will be 7 mos) DD. He's fine with it.
Now, I need input from everyone. Last trip I got 40% off Deluxe and stayed at my dream resort--Poly. Will not be able to afford that ever again, unless we in the lottery. Truth be told, I love the Mods. Don't want to do Value anymore b/c I want a covered bus stop (lame, I know, but that makes a difference to me) and we need a pool with a slide!
Haven't stayed at either PO resort since they were Dixie Landings and French Quarter. I LOVED FQ as a teen/twentysomething, but that was when it had it's own TS restaurant (can't remember the name). Have never stayed at Riverside. But, I booked POR just to have a ressie. Now with my 4 y/o I was thinking of a Royal Room at POR. Anyone stayed in one? My DD is into Ariel & Tiana, but she loves Nemo & Jake and the Pirates too. Maybe she'd like CBR better??? Any input is much appreciated!
Thanks guys!

We are going from May 24 to June 2, staying at Bay Lake Tower. First trip for any of us and we wanted to live it up.

I haven't totally booked out dining yet, though I've got some biggies reserved (Be Our Guest, Cinderella, Chef Mickey).

Anyone planning on visiting the F&G festival at Epcot or Star Wars weekend? We are hoping to be able to get to see some of the F&G stuff since the weekend we plan to arrive is usually the last weekend of F&G? As for SWW, at this point we aren't sure if we are going to skip HS for this trip or only go for a day, so we are trying to decide if going to SWW on the only HS day we may have is a good idea or not because of the high crowds. Decisions, decisions....

HS should be packed on SWW day!

We're going to HS earlier in the week to ride the rides so that Friday (SWW day) we can just devote to the Star Wars events.

This will be our first SWW, so I'm only going by what I've read here about the crowd levels.

This past May we went to WDW around the same time as we're going next time. We were able to plan our HS day for one of the non SWW days because we're not really that into the whole star wars thing. This next time though our days don't line up as perfectly so we're planning to go on Friday which will probably fall on one of the SWW days. I'm a little nervous about the crowds but we plan to skip most of the "star wars" events so we should be fine. Definately going to run for that toy story mania fast past as soon as we get there! :rotfl: We booked a Fantasimic dinner package too so we'll be able to see that with out having to wait in (hopefully) too long of a line.

We have been to SWW the last 2 years and if you aren't doing the SW meet & greets etc. the crowds weren't that bad. Of course TSM is always crowded.

Just booked my ADRs last night. I'm so excited. Can't wait to eat all that awesome Disney Food.

May 27th - Chef Mickey's
May 28th - La Hacienda de San Angel
May 30th - Yak & Yeti
May 31st - 50's Prime Time Cafe

I really want to get dinner in at O'hana for our arrival day on the 27th but the earliest dinner time was something like 7:50pm. I really didn't want to eat dinner that late. This way we can eat early and maybe hit MK after dinner. Also I didn't make any ADRs for the 29th. I wanted at least one day where we didn't have to be anywhere at a specific time.

Thank Paula! There were a couple nail bitters when choosing. There are so many good place, I had a really hard time deciding between to different places at the same park. I would basically yell things to my Fiance like "uh...Mexican or Japanese'" or "uh...uh....Comfort Food or Burgers" when I couldn't decide.

Count me in!! We arrive on May 2 and leave on the 4th for a 7 day Disney Cruise on the Fantasy to St Maarten/St Thomas. Cant wait, now down to six months or less!

Of course we added a quick trip in there from now until then (going next weekend!!)

We're on the same cruise. Also arriving the 2nd. Staying a week after also to relax(or not).

I'll also be there on the 2nd, along with family, but no cruise for us. Just 14 un-adulterated fun filled days around the world (+ a few other carefully selected amusement destinations).

My first milestone for the wait comes on January first when I can happily say, "I'm going to Disney this year". Viva 2013.
