***the official may 2013 thread***

Merry Christmas everyone! My bf and I did not do gifts for each other this year, due partially to our upcoming trip to the World, so I have decided to develop my touring plans now that I have some downtime. Finalizing the trip is like a mini present :)

How lovely re finalising your trip! That sounds to me like the best present of all! Enjoy!

Hope everyone had a great holiday! We are down to 145 days!!! This wait is killing me!! Looking forward to January 3rd to see if the new GP discount will help us out at all, but if not we're fully commited to this trip and willing to pay rack rate this year (as painful as it is!). After that it's going to be a LOOOOOOOOONG winter of waiting! LOL!:hyper:

Woo hoo! The discount was released to Disney Visa members today, and I saved $763 on our May28-June7th trip at POR!

We got the discount and were able to upgrade to POR for just a few dollars more! I'm excited!!

We are Disney visa but I don't recall ever seeing discount codes mailed to us. Where do we get them?

The codes are on the Mousesavers website and the Disney visa site, or alternatively you can just call Disney and tell them you want the Disney Visa Spring Promo. They'll have you make a payment/deposit of $200 on your Disney visa to qualify.

AkShqipMom, the current promo is only open to Disney visa cardholders but it will be released to the general public on Jan 3rd and there will likely still be plenty of availability to go around. The discount also applies to Disney debit cardholders, so that's an option if you want it but don't want to open a new credit card for it. You're also entitled to some discounts and freebies in the parks.

I called yesterday to get the promo discount, and my $1470 trip went down to $1190 including 9-day parkhoppers

I saw on some of the vacation planners sites that they were offering it now. I called Disney and verified it. I would just call either your travel agent or Disney directly - however you booked your trip. If you haven't booked yet, now is a great time to book!

Wont be long till the bags come out in the spare room and items start moving their merry way in....already started buying little bits like toiletries..

Just found this. Please add us on

Ok. Advice?!

Since we haven't stayed at a value resort for awhile, I forgot about the pool towel situation. Do you guys recommend bringing our own or trying to take extras from our room? The only bad part is they take up room in our luggage!!! Staying at AOA
Thx!

I always bring a beach towel because hotel towels are too small for my liking... But you can always call mousekeeping and ask for more towels if you do use the hotel towels at the pool.
