Maybe they just happened to stumble onto it? Seems like they are on the small island, the one where the others lived. Those buildings where not hidden like the hatches where so they may have crashed somewhere close to the buildings and just saw them.Amy said:So why did Alanna and that other guy know where to find an office and what were they looking for?
Michael couldnt kill himself because the island wasnt done with him yet. He still had work to do. Once your work is done, maybe you can die then?DisneyMissy318 said:Do you guys remember when Michael was trying to kill himself and couldn't?? I thought there was something about being from the island that made you not able to commit suicide in the real world.
The plane crashed landed on the other island. It's the one where they took Kate, Sawyer and Jack, when Jack did the surgery on Ben. Remember they were making Sawyer and Kate break rocks for a runway. Whoever is with Frank must have known that they were not on the "right" island and took off to find the rest of the survivors on the main island.
WOW!!! What a show!
If I remember correctly Lapidus only flew back and forth to the freighter. So unless he was with someone else (Sun?) who knew more about the island then I'm not sure he would just take off in a boat.![]()
Oh, I just thought of this. If Micheal could not be killed because the island wasn't done with him then we don't have to worry about Des because Eloise said the island wasn't done with him either!I'm a big Penny and Des fan. I also thought it was sweet last night when Sayid talked about the best nine months of his life with Nadia.
Guess I'm a romantic at heart.

When I was watching next week's previews frame by frame (yes, I'm a dork) Sun is definitely with Ben in the jungle. I don't know if that means Ben's with the Oceanic 6 (minus Aaron) or if Sun's with the passengers who went down.
We were also thinking that the blond in the previews could be Penny, but where would Desmond and Charlie be? I don't think there'll be many episodes with children; they grow too fast (like Walt). Too many questions!
And you know what else? What happened to Sayid - did he "flash to the past" with Jack/Kate/Hurley, or is he with the flight 316 survivors?
So we have Sun and Sayid unaccounted for after the 316 crash.
Based on Jin driving the Dharma van and coming upon Jack/Kate/Hurley, we know they "flashed" back to the 1970's.
Locke, Ben, Alana, the guy who spoke to Jack in the airport (Cesar??), and the other 316 survivors crashed in present-day. Cesar and Alana were shown looking through somebody's office, so we're assuming that 316 survivors crashed on the "other" island where the Others held Jack, Kate and Sawyer.
I agree with what a pp wrote that this should be THE island because when Sawyer and the rest came up to their camp, they saw the canoes, so this is the original island where they set up camp.
Frank Lapidus and "a woman" took off in one of those outrigger canoes. Where did they go? To "the" island?
Who was the woman who went in the canoe with Frank? Sun? I still think it's Penny, and that Sun flashed into the 1970's along with Jack/Kate/Hurley. I base this on: ELoise said ALL the Oceanic 6 had to go back, so it would make sense that the O6 all flashed to the 1970's; they're just not all together yet. Frank was not one of the O6, so he's with the flight 316 folks. Ben is with the 316 people because the island is done with him and doesn't need him any more. Why is Locke with the 316 people? Another mystery we'll have to wait for the answer.
I'm thinking it's Whitmore.
First of all, he's a multi-millionaire, which already makes him evil in my book. His own daughter can't stand him; and Penny is such a sweetheart, if she doesn't like you, you must be bad. Plus I really do think his killings have been more cold-hearted than any of the ones Ben has been behind.
I think Ben is truly obsessed with island and keeping it because of it's mystique and because he's the one that has NOTHING on the mainland. I think Whitmore wants the island for financial gain. Also I'm wondering if Ben killed Locke, knowing he would regain life again once they returned to the island - therefore not truly killing him.
Anyone catch the Dharma symbol on the file that Cesear was looking at?? That would maybe tell us which island they were on. Also what is he looking for?? He must be working for someone, but who?
I know I'll have to go back and watch this one a couple times to fully digest all the info in it.
But wait.....those outrigger canoes WERE on their island. Remember when Sawyer's group was flashing through time and they headed back to their beach and saw the camp all trashed and then found the canoes? That was THEIR island, not the other island.
When Juliette let Sawyer and Kate escape after Ben's surgery, she let them take a canoe. She even killed the hot head guy that was going to kill Sawyer and was branded as a result. Based on previews I think that Sun is with Lapidus and she took off to the main island to look for Jin. Sayid is the mystery. Where or more appropriately when is he?
