The Official LOST Season Five *No Spoilers* Thread

Yeah, so excited about tonight!!! Even if it's a bad show, it's LOST, so it's always good in my book. :thumbsup2

Isnt it all supposed to be about Locke tonight?

I am curious to see what happened to him and why he had to kill himself to get everyone to go back to the island. And what he did for the entire time he was off the island.

I AM SO READY!!!!!

I'm hoping that island time is different then mainland time. I just can't imagine them being stuck on that island of 3 years. :scared1: How horrible would that be? Meanwhile, Hurley and Jack and all the rest are enjoying warm showers, pizza and movies. :rotfl:

We saw in the preview how Locke dies. I am so not looking forward to seeing that part. I think I may have to fast foward it.

I can't wait to see how Ben is tied up in all of this....because we know he has a hand in almost everything!:rotfl:

Oh I just saw a commercial for tonight!!! Is the woman who asks John what he remembers the one who was escorting Sayid on the plane? I can't remember her face.:confused3

My DVR cut the preview off last week!!!!! So I didnt get to see that!!

I think they people stuck on the island have been there for three years, but I am wrong a lot when it comes to Lost. ;) I think they have been there for a while and that was why we saw Jin wearing the Dharma jumpsuit and looking like he obviously worked for them. I wouldnt think that just happened over night!

This is the one thing I want to know: Why does everyone hate Locke so much, to the point of no one wanting to go to his funeral/viewing, when he is the one who made it possible for everyone to go back so they can save everybody?

Yes. It was in the previews from last week.

Tonight's episode is "The Life and Times of Jeremy Bentham" can't wait!

I think that is one of the things we'll find out tonight.

I think they hated Locke because he wanted them to go back to the island and none of them wanted to go. I think they pretty much thought he was crazy. I'm sure we will get more detail in tonight's episode.

I'm thinking along the same lines that you are. They were probably mad at him because him showing up was a real slap in the face reminder of the fact that everyone who was left behind weren't exactly laying on the beach with an umbrella drink.

Probably brought up A LOT of guilt.

They had gotten used to their old lives, they didn't want to lose that (at the time). I saw a preview with SPOILER Widmore telling John this very thing in a hospital bed. /SPOILER

I believe John died for the very reason that he could be the proxy for Shepard. I think he knew this and finds out tonight that Jack is Christian's son. Also he has a good feeling, or someone told him, that if he died, the 06 would reunite in some manner to return to the island.

I think it's interesting how Ben said he didn't know that Locke killed himself, but he's in the room when Locke hangs himself! It will be interesting to see how he's involved!:happytv:

Never, ever believe anything that Ben says!

Cracked up at Mrs. Hawkings last week when Jack asked her if Ben was telling the truth about something: "Probably not."

Why did Ben kill Locke after he heard Hawkin's name??

Why did Ben kill Locke after he heard Hawkin's name??

That's the big question. I'd assume it was because Ben realized that Ms. Hawking was working with Widmore (since Locke knew about Ms. Hawking and Abbadon was driving Locke around and Abbadon worked for Widmore). Maybe Ben figured if Locke was dead then that would destroy Widmore's plan to get back to the island.

BUT...Ben also realized that Ms. Hawking was his chance to get back to the island and "protect" it from Widmore, so maybe that's why Ben was seeking Ms. Hawking's help in getting back to the island.

Then again....if Ms. Hawking is working for Widmore, then she also knows Widmore doesn't trust Ben, so why would she help Ben??

THIS SHOW IS TOO CONFUSING!!!

Why did Ben kill Locke after he heard Hawkin's name??
Ben's whole goal is to get back to the island. Once he found out about Eloise Hawkings, he didn't need Locke anymore. Plus, I think there is some deep seeded jealousy there. Ben wants to be the leader when they get back to the island. If Locke is alive, Ben can't be in control.

THIS SHOW IS TOO CONFUSING!!!

You can say that again!!!

OH, I forgot to mention Walt. I hope this is not the producers way of tying up his storyline. I was hoping they would explain what was going on with him on the island. Why did the others want him? How was he able to appear to Shannon when he was being held captive by the others? What was the special connection between him and Locke? Does he have special powers?

It was so good! Of course, more questions than answers yet again.

I knew we'd see that guy (at the airport, who spoke to Jack) again. Just didn't think it'd be so soon.

So, what the heck happened on that plane? Why did Hurley, Jack, Kate, Sun and Sayid just disappear while the rest of the plane just crashed and Locke and Ben are with them but the rest (Jack Kate etc...) are elsewhere????

Why does Locke seem 'alive'? Is he? If he really is alive then is Jack's dad? Claire?

Who is the evil one, Ben or Witmore? I'm thinking either it's Ben or it's both of them.

Why did Ben kill Locke? That was a tough scene for me to watch.

I hope that wasn't the last of Walt but I'm afraid it may be?? Unless they tie up his story (why he was special) at the end of the series.

We get to see Sawyer and Kate reunite next week? That's what it looked like :cool1:

LOVE this show!

I was a bit disappointed with Walt's story line. I thought Locke would have more questions when Walt said he'd dreamed about him on the island in a suit.

Lost is so good at leaving you wanting more. I'm wondering if Sun is the woman with the pilot :confused3 And where'd Sayid end up?

WOW! Last night, wow!

Here I was, ready to see Locke kill himself, and feeling really sad about that, then just as I was thinking what a heroic character Ben can be -- BAM! That's why Ben is such a terrific character. What on earth made him go off when he heard Eloise's name, and when he went off, he went off fast.

I'm a little confused about him being alive (or is he) on the island. The producers have said that if someone dies, they're really dead. But did they mean if they die on the island? I don't know if they made that distinction or not.

Too much to think about. I need to watch that episode again.
