The Official LOST Season Five *No Spoilers* Thread

I agree with this, and I think that group was sent by the Dharma Initiative after Locke blew up the communications station. I think we'll see the three factions (Dharma, Others, Losties) all fighting for control.

I also agree with whomever said that Adam and Eve are Rose and Bernard. I've thought so ever since I rewatched the episodes (after being introduced to the "time" ideas) and saw the black and white stones in the pouch that was with them.

I am not so sure it is Rose and Bernard ... I mean doesn't it screw with the time warp stuff when you see your own skeleton?! :lmao:

It shouldn't. Miles saw himself as a baby. Daniel was with his mother who was (seemingly) pregnant with him at the time. Plus, Rose and Bernard wouldn't be aware that it was their skeletons that they were looking at. Although they died in the past, it was their future. I still think it's them.

ACE of Cakes- RIGHT now. LOST cake... AWESOME!

I was wondering if it was Penny also. But as a PP pointed out, there was absolutely no connection made in last week's episode between Penny and Eloise at the hospital. Even if Penny hadn't seen her mother in many years, surely we would have gotten a hint from Eloise that she recognized Penny.

So, I'm back to thinking she's pregnant with Daniel.

Maybe no connection. But if Penny is the daughter Widmore had off the island and the reason he was banished...that would mean Penny would be the 'other woman's child' to Eloise. Like the family her husband left her for...

Friendly request- PLEASE PLEASE remember to warn us if you are going to post something that you read or heard in an interview, etc... so that those of us who stay away from those things can move to the next post. I know we have differing opinions of what spoilers are so I don't expect them to be left out entirely but there are lots of us who don't want to know these things ahead of time even if they are made available to the public.

A couple of my random thoughts after reading the past ten pages...

Someone mentioned that maybe Christian, Charlie, Eko and the rest might have appeared because they weren't supposed to be dead and the future was changed but don't forget that Christian was dead before he got on the plane. No real opinion on that theory either way but wanted to point that out.

The possible baby in Ellie's belly- regardless of the dates being off I don't think Daniel could have been born yet because then she would have known right away when she heard his name, and Charles would too. KWIM? I need to rewatch the episode for the hand on the belly stuff, I missed that!

I can't stand Juliette either but I do want her and Sawyer to stay together, I'm sick of the love triangle. I used to really like Kate and hoped she and Jack would end up happy but she is such a train wreck it kills me now- pick a man and stick with him or leave them alone! Still I can't help hoping that she and Jack will end up happy once and for all.

I would be totally ticked if the last episode was them landing safely in LA or some other cop-out where it never happened or just keeps happening over and over, but I have to believe that the writers are way too creative for that. Ha! What ending does that leave then if they can't land safely and they can't keep crashing? :rotfl:

How and why do Sawyer, Juliette and Kate end up back on the island in next week's episode? We know Miles and his mom make it safely off the island. I guess Kate talks them into it. They should have just kept on going and never looked back.

That's going to be interesting. I think they only have the 1 submarine, and supposedly the team working at the Swan is going to drill into the "energy" within a few hours (according to Daniel). That's not enough time for the sub to go somewhere and drop off Miles and his mom and then bring Sawyer, Kate and Juliet back. Could it be that the Losties are already starting to change the past?

DS17 missed Lost this week, so we re-watched it last night with him. Something is really bothering me about this episode: remember when they've got Sawyer and Juliet hand-cuffed in the control room and Radzinsky is beating up Sawyer to get him to tell them where the Hostiles are? Horace tried to intervene and get Radzinsky to stop, but Radzinsky told Horace that he wasn't in charge any more and something like "they" were trying to stop the Swan from being built, but it WILL be built.

Why is Radzinsky suddenly the guy in charge? I know Horace is kind of a laid-back hippie type, but he just caved in and didn't even argue when Radzinsky took over!

And with Radzinsky "going postal" like that, it doesn't sound like he's going to last much longer - somebody is going to kill him. Yet, if they don't change the past, then Radzinsky does live long enough for the Swan to be built and then kills himself. :confused3

So....have the Losties already started to change the past? What do you think?

Yes, I know......I just won't give up my quest to prove that "what happened, happend" is NOT true and that they CAN change the past!;);) I'm really going to be eating crow if it turns out that no matter what they do, they can't change a thing!:lmao: You guys can have fun telling me "I told you so"!!;)

Wow! I can't believe you're wondering that too! My DD and re-watched the episode yesterday also and during that scene, she said the same thing: "Since when is he in charge?"

I don't have an answer for you; just thought it was funny you were bringing it up too!

I thought Rad was pushing his authority too. Maybe it is a secondary protocol like on a ship. Forgot the technical term- but if the captain is thought to be incapable of making decisions then the 2nd in charge has a way to take over? Maybe someone with military experience can help me out here?

Since everything on this show seems to be connected, what do you guys think of this?

Remember back before Ben turned the wheel in the Orchid - Locke, Ben and Hurley are traipsing thru the jungle. Locke wandered off and saw Horace (with a bleeding nose) chopping logs and he said he was building a cabin for his wife. Horace also told Locke to "find" him. Locke led Ben and Hurley to the pit where the bodies of the Dharma folks were dumped after the purge, Locke found Horace's body and pulled a piece of paper from his pocket.

Do you think that piece of paper might be whatever Sawyer wrote when Radzinsky gave him that notebook and told him to draw a map to where the Hostiles were? We know for sure that Sawyer would never give up Jack and Kate by drawing a map to where the Hostiles really were, so he must have drawn/written something else. Do you think there's a connection? Maybe Horace got that paper and it was so important that he carried it with him for years. Sawyer was head of security for 3 years, so he prob. knows a lot more about Dharmaville than anybody else.

I think that is a great theory. I am going to chew on it for a while. popcorn::

I *think* I can bust your theory ..err..maybe LOL
When Horace dies (sitting on the bench) Ben was an adult.
When Sawyer writes the map ~ he had just taken (child) Ben to the others to be healed. I don't see how Horace could still have the map at that point?

RA could have easily THOUGHT they all died when they really were moved forward in time. There's a ton of wiggle room there.

This is what I'm thinking too.
'The Incident' causes them to "die" and flash forward to 2007, so RA just thinks they die.

I also think Kate convinces Sawyer and Juliet to come back with her because otherwise their last 3 years, as a couple-a happy time in both of their lives-would be erased. And that would mean Juliet would be back to being an 'Other' being held captive on the island by Ben.

And as of right now...I am still a fan of the "Whatever Happened, Happened" theory. :goodvibes

That is a good reason for Kate to convince them to go back...

Sooo excited for the finale tonight! :hyper:

But very sad also - I'm going to miss watching it!:sad1:

Me too. I've already scheduled an appointment with my thearapist for next week because I know how depressed I will be :rotfl: :rotfl:

What is the one they are playing before the finale? Is it a rerun?

I didn't realize tonight's episode is 2 hours. According to tvguide.com the 8pm episode is a highlight or past episodes.

We have church tonight but *cough* *cough* I think I am coming down with something and *cough* *sneeze* *cough* I may have to stay home *cough* tonight.

The purge doesn't happen for 25 more years....that's a long time to have a piece of paper...

Plus I thought the paper lead Locke to Jacob's cabin, not to the hostiles...I think the more important bit of info from those scenes with Locke and Horace is was he building Jacob's cabin...and why...
