The Official LOST Season Five *No Spoilers* Thread

Just want to make sure:

Lost is 3 hours. A one hour recap (8 eastern/7 central) followed by a 2 hour finale.

.

The purge doesn't happen for 25 more years....that's a long time to have a piece of paper...

Plus I thought the paper lead Locke to Jacob's cabin, not to the hostiles...I think the more important bit of info from those scenes with Locke and Horace is was he building Jacob's cabin...and why...

Just read lostpedia and they said it was a blue print of the cabin along with the map. So I'm thinking more that either Horace or Radzinsky came up with it or it was just insignificant.

I'm so sad tonight ends it all for another huge chunk of time! Still excited too of course!!!

That's what my programming thingy says on my TV...it's how they've done it nearly every season that I can remember.

:thumbsup2 So it would stand to reason since it was in his pocket at the time of the purge that Horace built the cabin right before the purge. But that place looked pretty beat up for only being around for 12 years or so...I guess in the middle of the jungle, it would decay faster with no upkeep...

I'll repent on Sunday

Good girl. I will raise a drink to you - I'll be in Epcot at a mega DISmeet!:goodvibes

Ok - I'm off to pour my necessary glass of wine in preparation of the start of the show. See you guys back here tomorrow. Enjoy all. It's going to be a good one!

Insane.

I was really digging Jacob.

And Juliet - :sad1:

Can't wait to hear what everyone thinks. And it completely sucks we have to wait until 2010. Goodness - it sounds so far away.

Wow, that was good but the commercials totally ruined it for me. I can't stand being interrupted from my LOST world every 5 minutes for commercials to blare at me for the next 5, it's ridiculous.

There were a couple of moments that really surprised me- for a little while I actually thought that Ben might have been the old guy from the beginning. Was anyone else totally ticked off by Jack and Juliette's purely selfish reasons for blowing up an island? That and the I love you curse!

I'm so sad that next season is the end!

AAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
OK I feel a smidge better ~~~~
oh why oh why do I let this show DO this to me?!?!

I did call the *whats in the box* 8 minutes into the show though :thumbsup2
Ask my hubby ~ as he thought I was full of crap :lmao:

DUMB DUMB SHOW

On the plus side ~ I cheered when Juliet got the axe but I should have known better
She is the ONE person I really do not like on the show

Sorry. I thought I was posting in the spoiler thread. Highlight below if you want to read my reactions from tonights episode...

I thought the whole Kate/Sawyer/Jack/Juliet love quadrangle was settled. I hate that they keep dredging that up. And what is it about Kate that these two men will go to such lengths for her??? I don't understand why Sawyer would still be harboring feelings for her. They knew each other for barely 3 months over 3 years ago. Shouldn't he be over her by now?

Anyway. What an awesome episode! My head is swimming with all the new information that they gave us. Like, who could the the other guy be that was with Jacob on the beach? And was that the Black Rock that was sailing towards the island? I can't believe there are only 17 episodes left for the whole series. :sad1:

I LOVE Juliet!

I just never got into her character ...she is just really arrogant and ..err.. I don't know ... wishy washy on which side she was on.... even tonight "I changed my mind" I had to do the big eye roll on that ...along with kate... gee I could have left on the sub but... errr ok since Jack looked at me I change my mind too :rotfl2: Dorks ...stick to a dang side will ya! :lmao:

Jack: We need to blow up the island.
Kate: Ummm...I don't this so.
Kate: We have to stop him!
Sawyer/Juliette: We're out of here.
Kate: WE HAVE TO STOP HIM!
Sawyer/Julietter: Ugh, fine.
Sawyer: Jack, stop.
Jack: No.
Jack: Ouch!
Sawyer: Ouch!
Juliette: Sawyer, I saw the way you looked at her. Let's blow up the bomb.
Sawyer: Ugh, fine.
Kate: Ugh, fine.

I posted a bunch of stuff over on the spoiler thread, so here are some of my thoughts:

I never heard Jacob refer to the guy in the beginning by name, so I'm going to call him "Loophole-Guy" since he said he was going to find a loophole to be able to kill Jacob. I think the loophole was that an acknowledged leader of the Hostiles had the power to kill Jacob. So Loophole-Guy had to find a leader to do the killing.

Poor Locke - people have been using him his entire life. First, his dad used him to get a kidney. All the stuff Ben used Locke to do. And now Loophole-Guy used Locke to get his body. We now know why "Locke" took Richard to the plane where Locke needed Richard to remove the bullet from his leg. It wasn't Locke at all, but "Loophole-Guy Locke" who had Richard tell the real Locke that he had to die. Locke didn't need to die to get the OC6 back to the island; Locke needed to die so LGL (Loophole-guy-Locke) could use his body.

And that's also why when LGL finally saw Richard after 3 years, LGL asked Richard "I'm still your leader, aren't I?" and Richard said "absolutely", thus acknolwedging LGL's leadership role.

And when Alex appeared to Ben when he faced Smokey - it wasn't really Smokey/Alex - it was LGL who told Ben to do everything LGL said. Precisely because LGL was going to tell Ben to kill Jacob.

And why was BEN able to kill Jacob when he'd been banished from the island and Locke was the new leader? Maybe because the REAL Locke was dead, and leadership (and the power of leadership) reverted to the prior leader - Ben.

Somebody on the spoiler thread posted this interesting tidbit: usually at the end, Lost will fade to black and the "Lost" logo comes up. Last night it faded to white screen. Could it be that black=evil and white=good - by detonating the bomb they DID change the past?

If they changed the past, 815 never crashes. Therefore, no Locke on the island. If no Locke, then Loophole-Guy can't inhabit Locke's body and manage to kill Jacob.

I am thinking that the two original men, Jacob and Loophole Guy) had a pact that they could not kill each other. Either than that or they are simply unable to kill each other. That is why Loophole Guy had Ben do it.

Also, remember when Ben went to visit Widmore in the middle of the night? They had a similar conversation about not being able to kill each other. That's when Ben told Widmore that he would be going after Penny.

Hmmm - I didn't read into it that much. I just assumed it went white to signify that the bomb had indeed gone off. :confused3
