*** The Official July 2014 thread, join us won't you? ***

BOG FP+ isn't part of the regular FP+system for those of you asking. Its http://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com and it started as invite only but I think Disney must have given up on that! I was hoping to get day 8 of our vacation but I guess there is a glitch and it only shows the first 7 days.:confused3 I'm not sure if it has released any July dates yet.

So it's a glitch. I was wondering why it only showed part of my vacay! I was wanting day 9 or later. Hopefully they'll work it out before our dates open up.

I only want the BOG FP+ because DS9 has nut allergies, and BOG is the only place he can get a safe cupcake. So I was hoping to get a late lunch there (2:00) on our first MK day and take a few cupcakes back to the villa right before we leave the park for an afternoon break. It would be great and worth the time to get those for him.

We'll be there June 29-July 5. Its our first trip to Disney. Staying at POR. Can't wait!

I have to say I was a bit shocked to come on here yesterday to find a post about someone using 10 FP+.

How awesome would that be for our July trip? There are so many new things we want to do. The kids are older and I am so excited that they are willing to try the bigger rides.:thumbsup2

Dh and I have talked about skipping EPCOT this year. We are going to spend 2 days at MK. I will miss Soarin'.

It will be interesting to see (as the busier summer months approach) if that's going to be a realistic scenario for us July travelers. I'm very curious to see if there will even be any availability to allow us to get more than 3 when it's so busy. I hope so :thumbsup2

Thank you both! I don't really want to risk waiting, so I'll probably do midnight. I think all of us are in the same boat that we're the planners for our families, so this is all riding on US! Ha! Not that anyone is going to be 'mad' if I don't manage to book something, but I'd like to have it all figured out and not have to keep checking for availability later. It just makes more work for ME! Haha!

Since we decided that we're not going to bother trying to see Anna and Elsa, I'm no longer planning on staying up late lol. I'll wake up a little earlier than normal for work and just do it that morning. I don't want to be tired at work

69 days out folks.

Dh is going to base to pick up our tickets, our FP+ starts next weekend. I have my list ready with A+E at the top for our girl child princess:. Dh is staying up to book as soon as he can. What a guy!!

Me too!! DH is picking ours up this week as well!

I thought about that side too.

I have set myself up to the thinking that this might not be the smoothest trip yet.

I'm still debating as well. We don't need A&E either, and I've read reports that 7DMT has been available pretty readily. I purposely booked our trip dates based on our ADR and FP+ dates falling on a weekend (I know, I'm totally OCD) because I teach and there's no way I can stay up until midnight and then get up at 5 and be "on stage" all day. Even though our date is on a weekend, I still think I'll just wait and do it in the morning :thumbsup2

No!! Don't give up hope! I felt the same, but then I went through our plans and started to see that maybe this will be the most fun & relaxing trip we've had. Our current plan is to spend most days at the resort/pool until about 3 or 4 and then go to the parks in the late afternoon and evening. It looks like we'll still be able to ride everything with FP+ and get to sleep in and relax. Sounds like win-win to me! Hopefully those aren't my famous last words :rotfl:

So for those that have already set up FPP is it pretty easy to do? Wed. Is our day so I plan on getting on right at midnight mainly for A&E and it drives me nuts that I can't get in to play around to know the site before then. I'm just hoping for this to go right...

I found it to be pretty easy - you just need to choose your day and then choose your park - it will give you a list of rides/activities to choose from. After that it gives you 3 options of combinations for those rides/attractions. You pick one of those options - regardless of the times really... then you can go back and modify each ride/attraction to fit your timeframe better. I find that they give you 3 times in the morning, then 3 in the afternoon and 3 in the evening - you can then go and play to make the times more of what you want. :eek:Beware - if you have dining booked, it will normally not allow you to make a FP+ reservation that conflicts with the dining! Just FYI! Good luck and I'm sure you'll get all that you want! :surfweb:

I'll be up on Friday at midnight doing the same thing! :thumbsup2

OK, our FP+ day is at the end of the month... on a Friday, as it turns out.

I'll be up at 5 am anyway--that's my normal routine on schooldays.

I do NOT need A&E, though I do want 7DMT at least once.

I had been concerned that I would have trouble booking before I had to get the kids up for school and myself off to work. But, as luck would have it, it's the Friday after Ascension Thursday (commonly known as "extension Friday" and I teach in a Catholic School--- so I'm off that day :) )

Someone please tell me that I don't need to be up at midnight to book this.

Which do you think is better:

EMH park?

Rope Drop at another park?

We have done the EMH, got to do most of what was open. It just got insanely crowded.
We are trying to do the opposite this trip and rope drop at another non EMH park.
