Which do you think is better: EMH park? Rope Drop at another park? We have done the EMH, got to do most of what was open. It just got insanely crowded. We are trying to do the opposite this trip and rope drop at another non EMH park.

We are doing some of both...EMH am rope drop at MK, early ADR at HS to be there at rope drop, rope drop at MK on a non EMH day, then not so worried about RD at Epcot and AK due to FP+. We're also doing more half days or evening in the parks after swimming and resort time. That was the big plus to adding on extra nights!

We book our FP+ on Sunday (or midnight on Sat.) I'm so excited!

We did decide to change an ADR. I think we're going to skip California Grill. We wanted to change to Ohana on July 17 around 5 or 6, but now there's nothing available, so I'm off to find the July cancelled ADR thread

Beware - if you have dining booked, it will normally not allow you to make a FP+ reservation that conflicts with the dining! Just FYI! Good luck and I'm sure you'll get all that you want!

I'll be up on Friday at midnight doing the same thing!

What sort of conflict does it block? For example, we have a breakfast ADR at Crystal Palace one morning at 8:15. What would be the earliest FP+ it will let us book? (It's a non EMH morning, so the park opens at 9.)

So for those that have already set up FPP is it pretty easy to do? Wed. Is our day so I plan on getting on right at midnight mainly for A&E and it drives me nuts that I can't get in to play around to know the site before then. I'm just hoping for this to go right...

We stay offsite, but even when we used to stay onsite we avoided EMH. I know that sounds crazy but it really is just more crowded.
We think we do much better at non EMH parks.

I found it to be pretty easy - you just need to choose your day and then choose your park - it will give you a list of rides/activities to choose from. After that it gives you 3 options of combinations for those rides/attractions. You pick one of those options - regardless of the times really... then you can go back and modify each ride/attraction to fit your timeframe better. I find that they give you 3 times in the morning, then 3 in the afternoon and 3 in the evening - you can then go and play to make the times more of what you want. DH is going to buy our tickets today on base. I am HOPING to have them in hand today.... I feel that it's unlikely. If so, the next best thing is for them to come before FRIDAY. EEEK. I am on some serious pins and needles to book FP.

Please add us to the list!! Originally we were not doing Disney this summer (DH and I went in Feb. to celebrate my 40th) and we had planned a family trip to Mackinac Island instead (my other happy place). Well, about a month ago my DH got the itch again (I was purposefully staying off the boards so I wouldn't itch) So we decided to go ahead and bite the bullet - AND keep it a secret from the kids!! We have never done this and to be honest its killing me!! We talked up Mackinac Island to them because they were a little sad not to be going back to Disney and now they keep asking questions about Mackinac so I can't wait to be able to spill the beans to them. We are also driving for the first time so figure we'll wait til we've been on the road for a few hours before telling them Can't wait to see their reactions

Originally we booked at POR in June, but then decided to move to July (5-12) and wanted Poly - but no availability for summer discount at time of booking so we decided to go to GF (first time staying here)!!

Because this was kind of last minute planning (normally we are counting down 6-9 months out) I was nervous about our FP+ options. When we moved our dates to July we were already at 58 days out but I got online that night (around 8:00pm) and was able to get SDMT (it was available every day of our trip) and I got A & E (it was available the last 4 days of the trip). So excited to ride SDMT and my DD will love getting to meet A&E!

Looking forward to planning our days / parks and hearing everyone else's experiences!
