Just did our online check in! We will be going in 10 days!!!
19 days until I become a Cast Member.
OH! CONGRATS!!! And THANKS!!! Always thanking CMs!
I have a question for those flying or for those who fly frequently. Do any of you use airborne or emergen-c before flying, or any of the other immune boosters or plane germ products? The last few times we've flown, DS & I ended up with a sore throat and runny nose afterwards. It could just be the altitude, but I'd really like to try to prevent it on this trip, so I'm looking at some of these products. I'm not a germophobe, but I'm bringing a few of those clorox wipes and wiping down our tray tables and arm rests, but wondering about the immune boosters and if they help....
My mom just ordered tickets for her and my dad.
But....
I am very upset over something though. My GREAT grandmother who is 94 and still living by herself fell and sprained her ankle. Her doctor sent her to a nursing home for physical therapy and she will get out January 6th. My grandmother is the one overseeing all of this, and she is so stressed out.She keeps saying "if" we get to come with you in January... Growing up it was always my grandparents, my parents, my sister and me. This trip is supposed to be the same group plus my daughter who is turning 3 and is the main reason we planned this trip.
I don't want to sound selfish, and I hope no one is reading this thinking that I am. If something else happens between now and the 20th with my great-grandmother's health or living situation I will understand why my grandparents won't be able to come, but I will be heart-broken at the same time that my daughter and I won't be able to experience WDW the way I always have. She is not sick, but she is very upset at the thought that the doctor may want her to stay in a home after her therapy is done.I need a hug.
Any other ideas for good food things to bring that will work with the amenities in the room?
Well here is the reaction....I don't think it will be used in any commercial. But we enjoyed it.

We are also staying at OKW and follow a similar meal philosophy. We will buy breakfast foods (milk, cereal, juice, etc) at Publix right when we arrive. We have booked a nice dinner every night. We'll be dining at Paradiso 37, Marrakesh, Narcoossee's, Yachtsman Steak House, and Teppan Edo. We'll take any leftovers back to the hotel to be heated up for lunches or brunches. We've found we can typically get by with just the two meals a day (breakfast and dinner), and then a couple of snacks throughout the day to get us through.
We haven't stayed in a studio before, but I think I read some reviews at TripAdvisor that specifically talked about the OKW studio rooms. I remember them mentioning how small the freezer was in the mini fridge- so no ice cream. I think it barely held an ice tray.
Ok I need some help

We are staying at a studio in OKW. part of the deal for this trip is that we are going to try to eat most meals in the room. my daughter will need an afternoon rest so we'll be back at the room for lunch and we'll be there for breakfast. We are going to try to limit to one meal out a day... if we can get away with no meals out on a day or two even better.
SO I'm trying to make a little list of thigns to bring. we have a nice big cooler so if everything doesn't fit in the mini fridge we can keep that stocked with ice.
so far I have:
Bread
lunchmeat
condiments (just small picnic sized bottles)
PB and J
cereal
milk
granola bars
fruit snacks
crackers
I'm planning on making a few meals that are good reheats that we can bring along with us like pizza and a macaroni casserole.
Any other ideas for good food things to bring that will work with the amenities in the room? I think we have a minifridge, microwave, coffeemaker and a toaster in the room if I'm not mistaken... been a while since I stayed in a studio lol.
