**The Official January 2012 WDW Thread**

I can't believe we're leaving in 9 days. :yay: I've been pouring over the touring plans, crowd calendars, and the boards, trying to get my basic plan down. DH thanked me for doing all of the work. That made me feel good. At least he doesn't think I'm crazy.

I ordered our PhotoPass today. Mickey mail is in hand. We received our Disney Rewards card. DH got a $50 Disney gift card from his work. Still need to get our gift cards from Target (thanks to my mom and her Target card) and I need to put in an order with Garden Grocer.

It's all coming together. Oh, and we still have to tell the kids! :rotfl: We plan to tell them Thursday afternoon. I hope it goes well.

One week from today....CAN NOT WAIT!!!!
:dancer:

8 days for us, I am getting more and more excited by the day. I even started putting clothes in the suitcase last night.

I have so much to do this weekend and with the game on Saturday, I am losing a whole day. I have to finish any last minute shopping tomorrow evening after work. I hope DH will get busy and help me on Sunday and Monday, then I have the evenings to myself to get stuff ready. I have to work Tues, Wed, and Thurs. We plan on leaving the house at 9:30 Friday morning and we have to take our bunny to her sitter (no laughing)

9 days!!

Finished online check-in..........so everything is done! (except packing.....told myself I can't start that until the Christmas things are put away. And can't find one of the tubs for that and it is driving me crazy)

Hey, I would be doing the same thing...you can't leave it home alone! I have to pack, too...but you know it's a surprise so I have to wait until the girls are at my cousin's this weekend and pack in between sleep and work...it's gonna be a CRAZY weekend!!

Christmas done and over with.....check
Gone shopping for the family for new clothes......check
Broke in new shoes.....check
Got all of our plans and itineraries in order.....check
Started making piles of the clothes to be packed in my room....check

Leaving for our trip in two and half weeks and still have a ton of things to do.....check

:scared1: (but I wouldn't have it any other way :goodvibes)

I posted this on the show your ticker thread....thought I would share my thoughts here as well.

16 days until we fly out for our cruise
25 days until we check into BCV
party:

Yay!!! We're all getting so close!!!:banana::banana:

We're down to 2 weeks here. I still have Christmas stuff to put away, the boxes with our Christmas presents that we shipped home should be arriving today, so I have to put all the presents away. I need to go pick up a few extra pairs of pants for my DS, as he either got taller over break or my mom's dryer shrunk the pants, so now they look like flood pants. And I've slowly been laying out stuff to pack.

I've been thinking that since we're going to be there for 2 weeks and have a rental car, we'll just stop at a wal mart or target on our way to the hotel and pick up shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, laundry detergent, etc. along with a few grocery things so then I don't have to pack a bunch of travel sized toilitries, but now I'm wondering if I might be better having Garden Grocers pick them up for me and have it waiting at the hotel. Our flight gets in at 8:30 pm (which will only be 5:30 pm our time) but I'm worried that if we get delayed or something, we may not want to go that night... Decisions, decisions :)

31 days til our first trip - still a surprise for the boys :)

Told my boss today and there were no hassles from him (not yet at least) -- :)

SOOOO excited but have SO much to do. Need to get suitcases for the boys. Any suggestions on good ones/types (with wheels) that are not too expensive.

HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoping this is my boys' best birthday!!!

It's getting closer and closer!!! With Christmas over, I have asked DH to head up taking down all of our Christmas decorations so I can focus on Disney planning! The girls are only back in school for a week before we leave so that doesn't leave this mama much time to just get things done while they are at school. My goal for the next couple of days is to make an EXHAUSTIVE packing list...Next week I plan on packing most of our summer type clothes to get ahead of the game! Oh and I have to finally finalize all of our ADRs and cancel a couple...

Getting excited up in here!!!!:banana::hippie::hippie::cool1::cool1:

No, she can't be left home alone. A neighbor is going to come feed the dog and check on the cats, but she requires special attention, so I hired a sitter.

Yeah, I can't wait to hear about the surprise.

We're down to 5 days. Woo hoo! Guess I'd better start packing. Yes, I hate packing so much that I wait and do it at the last minute. We've never been this time of year before, so I have no idea what on earth to pack. I figure we want to dress in layers, right? I did buy everyone new lightweight raincoats for Christmas that I figure we can use instead of the big floppy ponchos. We've each got fleeces, two pairs of good broken-in tennis shoes, and OverLand shoulder bags. Will there be any need for shorts at all, or should we just stick to capris and pants? The kids are under the illusion that it will be shorts and swimsuits weather like it has been every other time we've gone, but I'm looking at those forecasts and seeing highs in the 60's and lows in the 40's. Ai yi yi!!

From what I have seen, by the middle of next week it will be back up in the 70's, one day was even showing 80 during the day and 50's at night. Definitely layers, not sure about swimming weather, Blizzard Beach has been closed the last 2 days. It isn't warm enough for me, but we will still probably pack swimsuits. I am taking a couple of pairs of capris and some short sleeved shirts.

I wouldn't trust anything more than about 3 days out, and that can change suddenly.

Hey, we'll see you at OKW..we are there Jan 20-28, too!

Awesome :D

We will have our lime green mickey head on us so keep an eye out :D lol

So is anyone else plagued by the disney nightmares? I swear I'm having them every night lol :confused3

I always have the same dream... the plan is to arrive for rope drop but something happens and we don't make it and then something else happens so we are even later and then something else and something else and before I know it it's night time and we only have a couple hours left. When we get to the gate we forgot our tickets LOL. It's always the same and I have no idea why because this trip is going to be the most easy going trip we've had because it's just the three of us.

CRAAAAAZY. but I'd only share it here because you all will think i'm completely normal where as the non disney folks are ready to have me committed lol

I have a question for those flying or for those who fly frequently. Do any of you use airborne or emergen-c before flying, or any of the other immune boosters or plane germ products? The last few times we've flown, DS & I ended up with a sore throat and runny nose afterwards. It could just be the altitude, but I'd really like to try to prevent it on this trip, so I'm looking at some of these products. I'm not a germophobe, but I'm bringing a few of those clorox wipes and wiping down our tray tables and arm rests, but wondering about the immune boosters and if they help....

I am definitely planning on it. I've found I often get sick from being on flights, and since mine is a really long one, I'm not risking getting sick on this trip. I got a terrible cold right after our last trip, so to prevent any of that from happening I am stocking up on the Airborne and other items, and definitely will be wiping down the tray tables, etc.

I actually JUST read an article about things not to touch when you're on the plane, one of which is the seatback pockets. I never really thought twice about putting my magazines and stuff in them, but now that I realize how disgusting they are (like I'm sure people put their nasty tissues in there before throwing them away), I am staying clear of putting anything in there!

I'd say it can't hurt to bring it along and take some. :thumbsup2

Yep, we have a pretty long flight too. I always put my magazine and book in the seatback pocket, and never thought of people putting their tissues and who knows what else in there. Yuck!

Hey everyone! We are staying from Jan 22nd - 29th at CSR. We got our Mickey mail today with the luggage tags and book with the vouchers and Magical Express stuff. The envelope also had the photo pass card to register in advanced. It seemed like when we went in July these things came separate.
My MIL and FIL also received theirs in the mail yesterday. They are in OK so I bet all those going around the same time as us will probably start to see your's showing up in the mailbox soon.

We will be there before we know it. :yay:

We got our Mickey mail yesterday too! we will be at POR Jan 23 to 29th:)

Ten days for us! I can't wait! We are at the Pop from the 7th until the 22nd and then 3 nights at Loew's Royal Pacific Resort. We've never been to the WWoHP before so we are thrilled for the entire trip!

Maybe we will see you at the Pop, we are there the 12th to the 21st!
