We are staying at POFQ. I am really excited about it, because I've heard so many wonderful things about the theming, layout, rooms, etc.

How about a new question of the day:

What is your one MUST DO at Disney World?[/QUOTE

Ride Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and Splash Mountain over and over and over, followed by a Dole Whip!

My must do...there are so many how can I even begin to pick! I think it would be staring in awe at Cindy's Castle and pinching myself so make sure I was really there!

Please add me to the January group! We'll be staying at the POP from
January 7th to the 22nd! We were planning to begin our trip on the 10th, but
changed our reservations to see Fantasmic on the 8th.

They're showing Fantasmic on the 8th? I will have to change my plans a bit to fit that in...woohoo

It is on the calendar for Jan 7th and 8th at 6:30, guess I will have to change some plans for that.

Do you have a good "pixie dust" story?

I don't have any big pixie dust stories, like room upgrades. Just memories of many wonderful CMs who went out of their way for us. :goodvibes
I hope someone has a good story!!

I don't know if it was Pixie Dust or not, but here is my story....

Back in December 2009 we were at a MVMCP party. We were listening to Belle tell a Christmas story (I forget what the attraction was called). Anyway, my 2 DDs were picked to be Cogsworth and Lumiere and then later on, my DH was picked to be the Beast. It was so cool watching all of my loved ones up on stage having a blast playing their parts. It is something we will never forget :goodvibes.

Last time BFF and I went for our birthdays in January was one BIG pixie dust story.....we don't expect the same this time. It would be hard to match.

We were treated so nice and got lots of good things. Started with roses, cupcakes and Happy Birthday tiaras at tea at the Garden View. We wore the tiaras the rest of the trip.

Got special seating at car show at DHS and also at Fantasmic! Free desserts almost everywhere....even Casey's, free Mickey bars.....and of course, loads of best wishes.

We almost always have some sort of small pixie dust moment on each trip. But the one I don't think I will ever forget was Dec 2008:

My mom had just passed away in Aug 2008, just 5 days before she and I were supposed to check in at POR for a mother/daughter trip. We had also booked a family trip for Dec 2008, to include me, DH, mom, my cousin, her sister and her 3 children. We decided to go on the Dec trip, we coulnd't disappoint the children, 2 of them had never been before and that was all they talked about. of course it was a very sad trip for me and I cried quite a bit.

My cousin let her oldest daughter stay an extra couple of nights with DH and I as that is what we had planned when we originally booked the trip, because she had gotten an AP for her birthday. Well, on our lst night, we went to MK to see the Christmas fireworks and end our trip at MK, which was what we liked to do. I wanted to do something really special in memory of my mom, so I decided we would write a note to my mom and attach it to a balloon and release it.

When we were ready to leave for the night, there were the balloon CM's on MainStreet, well we stopped and I picked the one I wanted (the one with Mickey on one side and Minnie on the other), paid the CM and asked DH to help me attach the note, the CM was still standing there talking to us and I started to cry, she asked what was wrong, DH told her and she stopped to help me, and insisted I take the money back and said that special moment was from her, she hugged me and we both cried. DH and I and my cousin went up MS next to the Chrsitmas tree and let the balloon go and we stood there and cried. I will never forget the kindness of that CM that night and if I remember correctly her name was Stephanie.

Sorry it was such a long post.

My favorite Pixie Dust story happened to my sister. It was her 6th birthday so this was about 18 years ago. My sister loved Alice from Alice in Wonderland. She dressed up in her Alice dress for her birthday. Back then not many little girls dressed up in princess dresses. We were by the teacups and Alice and the mad hatter were out taking pictures. My sister got in line and told the mad hatter that it was her birthday and he said that he knew that and had her present in his pocket. He took out one of the brass balls that are on top of the metal poles that make the lines. My sister being 6 years old at the time thought this was the coolest thing ever that the mad hatter knew it was her birthday and he had something for her. She still has the brass ball to this day sitting on her desk.

During our last trip, it was our honeymoon and we really were made to feel special by Disney. We received pins at both of our resorts we stayed at (GF then OKW), GF snuck into our room while we were at MK on our first day and left us a bottle of champagne, a rose, and a Congratulations card signed by Mickey and Minnie. We received a champagne and toast from everyone over at Whispering Canyon one night at dinner, extra confetti at Crystal Palace along with a signed card from Winnie the Pooh and friends, and so many congratulations I couldn't believe it (both from guests and CMs).

It made our honeymoon extra special and fun, enough for us to go back for our one-year anniversary in January. :) No expectations this time though, just planning on having fun and if there are extra specials thrown in there (of course I'm excited for the pins, as always!), great, and if not, um hi we're in Disney World having a blast!

We always get some sort of Pixie Dust as well...but this story just goes to show what REAL pixie dust feels like and how the magic can lift your heart.

In 2009 we were there for my birthday and the CM's everywhere we ate gave me a little special birthday surprise..it's almost expected, though and while it's awesome it's the times that you get pixie dusted when you least expect it that you really feel the magic! In March of this year our DD 10 at the time was picked to be first mate on our Pirates and Pals cruise. The CM's probably had no idea that they were making a difficult evening enjoyable for her...she was beyond tired and getting cranky and her time release medication that she takes daily had worn off...it was looking like we would have to cut the night short...but when they called her name it was like she woke up from a nap and was raring to go for the duration...it saved us from missing out on a wonderful family experience!

Hello everyone! Me and DH just decided that we will be going in January 2012 as well! :goodvibes We havent booked yet but hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will and I will start a PTR and Dining Review sometime after that. we're going from January 8-15 and staying at the Coronado Springs resort.

I have a pixie dust moment, not so much a story. We went to Coronado Springs for our honeymoon in June and we booked a regular room. When we checked in however they upgraded us to a room with a king bed and also gave us a voucher for two free glasses of champagne that we could have used at the resort. It was awesome!

Also, hurray, this is my 200th post!

Do you have a good "pixie dust" story?

Last January the children and I made our first trip to WDW without Mommy (after she lost her battle with cancer, she had just turned 33), the original Kazooie01. My two children wanted nothing more that trip than to meet Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. It seemed each day we checked to get in line for the Meet and Greet, the lines were insanely long or we would just be to far back to get in. Finally on our last day, we decided to bite the bullet and wait in line (for a very long time). We ended up being the “cut off” for the last show just missing out. The Cast Member was very nice and said “Sorry folks, but Flynn and Rapunzel with be back tomorrow.” The children were devastated, I started to tell them it was Daddy’s fault and I should have got in line sooner etc. The same CM that made the announcement came over and asked them what was wrong; my 7 year old said she really wanted to meet them and that “Her Mommy would really have liked to meet them”. My son said he wanted to learn the “Smolder”. She asked where Mommy was and I filled her in, when I finished, she smiled and said she would be right back. When she returned, she asked if we could stay a few minutes until the last group finished, I said sure. After they closed the Meet and Greet, the CM came over to us with 2 Photo Pass photographers and an additional CM. She said to follow them. They took us into the Meet and Greet area and out come Rapunzel and Flynn!!! I was shocked, the CM said to take all the time we needed and the photographers would take all the pictures we needed. Flynn and Rapunzel proceeded to play and sing, dance and talk to my children for over 20 minutes. Flynn even pulled my son aside and gave him a one on one lesson on how to properly execute the “Smolder”. It was as magical a moment as I could have ever dreamed (with everyone shedding a tear or two). I knew right then Joni was smiling down with Walt by her side.
