I guess they did a bit of aging...

Alan Michael should be old enough to be Marina's father (since he was involved with her mom at one point), yet he doesn't look too much older than her.

They got SORASed.. Seriously. Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome.

Who or what is Loreli (BEth) I am confused is she a twin or another personalit or what!! That story line doesn't make a whole lot of sense but then again most of the show doesn't!

Loralei is another personality Beth developed after some accident in Arizona involving Edmund. She was thought for dead, but she really survived, but thought she was a woman named Loralei who was wild and crazy. I believe Loralei was married to Bill Lewis, so when Loralei realized she was Beth (man, this is messy and I really haven't followed the show with a passion for many years, so I am probably forgetting a bunch of facts) there was some misunderstandings with Bill, Philip, etc.

If I remember correctly Beth went missing after a flood and was presumed dead. Then she shows back up as Lorelei, not remembering that she's Beth. She runs into Edmund who thinks she is Beth (they were married before the accident) but then realizes she isn't. They join forces to trick the people of Springfield into thinking she really is Beth so they can get money from the Spauldings. Finally in the end she gets her memory back.

Oh, I forgot she was married to Bill. Didn't Bill marry her when he had been away from Springfield for a very long time. I don't even think he knew who Beth Raines was. I can't remember what happened between the time they were married and when 'Lorelei' met Edmund.

There was a companion book, written by Beth Chamberlin (the actress who plays Beth) called Lorelei's Guiding Light: An Intimate Diary that went with that storyline.

Yes Sandy is dead. I read he was leaving the show. You know in soap opera land though he could come back at any time- look at Phillip.

I want Harley to find Gus. This story is moving a little slow. I also want Coop w. Ava. GL isn't as good as it used to be IMHO.

I think the show has been a bit better recently than it has been for the past few years. I like the Tammy/Jonathan coupling, Mallet/Dinah/Harley/Gus storyline, the evil Beth and Alan pairing, the Buzz and Olivia flirtation, and the Josh/Reva/Billy triangle. That's at least three more storylines than I was interested in at this time last year.

I also think that Sandy is really dead and won't be making a comeback. For some reason, I think they only bring back people that are part of the major families - i.e. Spaulding, Cooper, Shayne, etc...
I can't think of anyone......Anyone out there ever remember a non-major family character come back from the dead?

Although I'd love it if they would bring back Jenna....

I agree- GL had been in the toilet the last few years, and it's finally seeing the 'light' for the first time in a longgggggggggg time.

Do you read the Soap Opera Digest? I've picked up the last few issues of it and they have polls for favorite actors/actresses and she's been winning every issue. Who's voting for her???

On the other hand, I'm really liking Evil Beth. I always hated simpering, helpless, whiney Beth, but she's a hoot when she's mean.

I missed a day or two, what happened to Gus. The last I saw they were following Beth from the hospital. Guess I won't be able to get caught up for a while, the big dance starts today.

I swear I want Cassy to wake up from a dream and all these stupid story lines she created in her head....She was in the accident not Richard, he is actually alive. Jonathan never came back. (But then does but doesn't sleep with Tammy) Still be a bad boy but.............Josh and Reva are still together. Gus is alive and Beth isn't preggo!
Also does anyone else not care for the actor spot lightday? Just finished watching today and find it so boring when it focuses on one character!
