I vote for NO new show! I fell asleep at 9:30 because the "new" show wasn't holding my interest. I woke up at 4:30 this morning and tried to watch it again. It put me to sleep again.

While I could watch Taye Diggs all day long, I really wasn't interested in his character. I don't like Amy or Tim. Addison wasn't herself.

Boring!

These are my sentiments too. I fell asleep midway through Addison Goes to LA and woke up about half an hour later. I was so bored with these characters. I love Taye Diggs too, but even Taye couldn't keep my interest.

I am disappointed that nothing further has come up about Izzy's daughter (unless I slept through it). And I'm very disappointed they killed off Mer's stepmom. That could have been a good story line.

I wondered about Izzy's daughter too. If anything was on regarding that story line I slept through it too. I felt so bad about Meredith's stepmom, mostly because I really like Mare Winningham, always have. She's such an underrated actress. And now she's gone...

What a disappoinment last night was.

Wow... I was captivated... not bored at all... other than the plethera of commercials... I think this is the "older version" of Grey's and since I'm 45, I loved the characters. I will definately watch it!

Tim Daly... HOT HOT HOT... I've had a crush on him since "Wings".... I thought the chemistry between him and Addison was very strong.

I didn't like where I thought they were headed with the voice in the elevator, glad to see she wasn't losing it...

Taye.... oh my, he just gets better with age.

The StepMother dying... not sure why when they had put her and Mere into a relationship... another loss for her to endure. Her Father's reaction was strange.

George and Izzy, I think they are doing a great job to create the chemistry but I don't see them together.

Alex and Eva... where is that going?

Burke and Christina... no way will this wedding happen.

Now, I must go dream.... Tim darling... I'll be right there!

I'm also in the minority. I enjoyed the look into the new series and think I'm going to like it. It was nice to see Addison as a real person. I have never liked or cared for her character.....until last night. I look forward to seeing more.

WOW- I'm so glad to finally have stumbled on this thread

I also did not like that last night was a spin off pilot-thing with only a little
bit of Grey's in the middle of it all. I was REALLY looking forward to 2 hours
of pure GA.

I'm also an Izzie/George fan.... I feel they do have some true chemistry, yes, akward at times.... but I think due to the nature of their situation. And I do NOT like Callie, she doesn't seem to fit in quite right and is too cold to Georgey.

No my views on the episode... I was beginning to think based on the reactions here that I was the only one who actually liked the spinoff... The funniest part about it to me was that I was most cynical about it too! I don't love Addison, so I didn't think I'd like the show - but I loved them all!

As for the little of Grey's that was mixed in... That was disappointing - but what we got, I thought was good...

Burke and Yang's moms annoyed me - and I totally don't think they're going to make it to "I Do"... Alex and Jane Doe are steaming up some next weeks previews showed that - I think he's falling for her some! Izzie and George were just hot, I can't help it - I love them!! (Again another to TR Knight for being an awesome actor...) I like Callie, but let's get her someone else - she has a stick up her bum when it comes to George talking to anyone other than her. I was sad for Mere about Susan - she seemed more upset about her dying than her own mother. (I really liked Mare Winningham's character.)

Also - quick question in the previews for next week did anyone catch who it was that The Chief was kneeling over and calling for help??? I couldn't tell if it was Bailey or Adele!?!?!?!

I'm so glad somebody else liked it too. I loved the episode (except for when they killed Susan but that's another story) and I got depressed coming reading this thread because everyone was so down on it. I personally love Addison but I would still have enjoyed it if it was any character who was going. I think these new characters are already so interesting that I can't wait to see the spin-off to see more of them. And I think they went back and forth between the "Private Practice" scenes and the Grey's scenes very nicely. Those who were disappointed in the lack of Grey's scenes (which I thought there were plenty of- after all it was 2 hours so the total of Grey's scenes probably equaled what would be in a 1 hour show) had to know that this episode was also the pilot for the spin-off. So anyway I'm glad to see that more people liked it. And I agree with Kimmielee, it is the more mature version of GA.

I think it's Bailey. It went so fast and I don't have slo-mo on my tivo, so I had to just pause it and try to get it in frame. I finally got it, but it was fuzzy.

I couldn't see her face in the freeze-frame, but I thought she was dressed more like Adele than like Bailey.

I thought it was Adele, too. I couldn't really see her, but I was guessing from the worried tone in the Chief's voice. He sounded really panicked like it was someone he loved very deeply.

I guess I'm in the minority......I just don't like Izzy and George together...seems more like a brother/sister relationship to me. I cringe when they kiss I'd rather see Izzy w/ someone else. When her and Alex were together it was HOT!

As for Callie....I like her but not w/ George.

Well I'll admit - I went to the tape and slow-mo'd the machine to see if I could tell and I'm agreeing with you all that based on clothing style, urgency in Chief's voice, etc... that it's probably Adele! I hope nothing bad happens to her...

Anyone have any bets on who might be named the next Chief??? (We've only got two episodes left this season and I'm sure one will be named before it ends...)

I think the Chief will remain Chief... especially if they kill Adele off.
