I watched about 30 minutes of last night's show and turned it off. I am so not interested in watching the stupid wedding plans---really if they can't agree on the wedding, the marriage isn't looking too good either. I can't stand George and Izzy. Somewhat interested in Mer and dad and step-mom (and I did catch the ending on that). So that storyline will probably go nowhere now.

I thought the idea of Addison having a baby could be interesting, but I really had no interest in devoting any time to that other show last night. I taped it, so I'll probably watch it over the weekend. But I was so looking forward to last night's special 2 hour episode and walked away very disappointed.

Does anyone know if Addison is gone from Grey's permanantly? If they don't pick up the new series will she go back?

I also found the spinoff boring and kept dozing off. There was no chemistry between the characters. I do really like Addison on GA, but not in this new show. Also so sick of Izzie, someone needs to slap her silly.

Didnt care for the spin off....it seemed like greys with different characeters...you have the two best friends who deep down like each other...the divorced person falling for the younger co-worker...the guy who cant commit...the other divorced person who wants their old relationship back ....not to mention all the elevator stuff....hello we already have this show....

I am against all of you I love the izzy george thing!

I think everyone needs to go back and watch greys form the start izzy and george have had major chemestry from day one!

onto the spinoff....booring!!!!

If the want to do a spin off do it right....have a few greys characters get fed up...Sheppard, Callie(once george dumps her at seasons end!--yeah!!!), Mc Steamy,take Alex too and start their own private practice. Don't waste your time with so many new characters that people won't care about. It would imedately get they viewers who like greys and allow you to better use 2 shows to tell all the possible story lines from the differnt people.

I pretty much stamped and dated my Avon books through the whole show. The "Addison Show" was pretty corny.

I did not care at all for Addison in that role or the new show. She did not play the Addie we know from GA. It also put me to sleep. I never liked "Judge Amy" in anything that she's ever done and was disappointed to see her in it. As for Izzy and George, I like them and always have. I think Izzy finally let Denny "go" in that scene with Denny walking down the hall in the hospital a few shows back. I kept hoping Denny would have a twin brother, but guess not.

I am disappointed that nothing further has come up about Izzy's daughter (unless I slept through it). And I'm very disappointed they killed off Mer's stepmom. That could have been a good story line.

I believe Shonda Rhimes was developing a pilot for the actor who played Denny. He was going to be some kind of news correspondant or something. That got put on the backburner when someone came up with the idea of Addison in a GA's spinoff. I wish they would focus on developing another good show rather than a bad spinoff.

I also didn't like thespin off. I do love Tim Daly but I didn't really like the character all that much. Don't like any of them really - seems so forced.

Question .. who is the receptionist kid? I know I've seen him some where but I can't place him.

I didn't realize that the special 2 hour Grey's was going to be the set up of Addison's new show. I was really disappointed that there wasn't more Grey's so it was a let down with my expectations of the spin off.

Also, I think part of the charm of Grey's is that the actor's weren't all well known before - yeah McDreamy was - but in the spin off - almost every character has been in another tv show prior to this!!! Even the surfer kid/ receptionist was in a show last year!!

I was kind of disappointed too. I thought it was going to be two hours of Grey's. I didn't realize they were going to be pitching the spin off in the middle. I hated the spin off at first. It all seemed so hokey. I kind of got into it a little by the end. I still say don't mess with my Grey's though. I like it just the way it is. Now if they want to add Taye Diggs in there somewhere, I have no problem looking at his hot patootie every thursday!

My thoughts exactly. I was very disappointed. I had to fight to stay awake. I definitely won't be turning into the new show if it's on the fall schedule.

I was also bummed out that they killed off Meredith's stepmom and that her Dad slapped her!

Anyhow, I was very sad about it, I was sad Thatcher hit Meredith & I'm sad Derek looked in Meredith's window and left.... he's being a dog....

About the wedding, sure as I sit here, there will be no wedding!

About George? That's the biggest question, will he stay or will he go.... and does Addison come back for the rest of this season?

I was looking forward to the 2hr GA all day & was so disappointed. The spin off is terrible, I fell asleep by 9:30.

I was sad too, that Meredith's step-mom died. I thought it was a ridiculous episode to put it in. Like it's an inserted aside or something, to the real action - that spinoff.

I hope Meredith doesn't take that slap out on her dad now and use that as another excuse to hold against him. Their relationship is non-existent as it is. He just lost his beloved wife, for God's sake, and it was totally unexpected on his part. I wish somebody had gone over to be with him at the end.

As for Derek leaving, I thought he just understood that Meredith seemed to need her other friends more at the moment, and he would feel like he's the fifth wheel. George, Izzy & Meredith have a special bond that doesn't include Derek.

I don't know....with the previews showing him with another woman He really seems to be becoming a jerk!

I enjoyed the show. I'm going to give the spin off a try. It's hard to tell right now how it will be since both shows were intertwined.

I could tell where Meredith's stepmothers storyline was headed right off the bat. Pretty sad. And I can't believe her father slapped her. Not sure I'd have ended up in a living room laughing and drinking with my buddies after all that though. I found it a bit far fetched.
