Why can't all those strong guys life the car off the injured man so he can be pulled out? I think the worst part of Izzy's situation is that it doesn't look like this guy will make it, yet Izzy is forced to use all her resources and skills on him, when she could be helping many other people.

The little girl is a lost child without a mother, just like Meredith is. The little girl helped to save the man's life and probably Meredith's life surmising from the teaser, and maybe that will bring her out of her "funk." Maybe Meredith will come out of her funk, too, understanding the great power she has to save lives. Then I wonder if her mother's words will ring true to her, and she will decide not to be ordinary anymore, and let herself drift away from McDreamy. After all, sweeps are coming up. I think McDreamy will be her knight in shining whatever and rescue her from the water.

I am really curious about how Karev handles the situation with the families. He has shown little compassion so far, but has gained some working with OB patients. Maybe that will move with him in his dealings with the patients. (In stark contrast to the other resident, who went around distributing orange juicce, but can't find it in her to show some compassion).

The show was riveting last night.

I liked the scene in the elevator where Addison was yelling at the three docs..

"You're living with Christina, You are dating the perfect 12-year old, Man-*****" If he wants to dye his hair to attract the ladies - it's ok...

I thought it was a good episode. I actually liked Alex for once. I too thought those guys could lift that car...one of my high school buddies could lift the front end of a small car and he was no Arnold...so I am sure the three of them could have at least done something!

One thing I really love about GA is all the symbolism, tie-ins and character development. It is also unpredictable so I can come up with lots of scenarios about what I think is going to happen, and be wrong every week.

Episodes like this one are the reason I stopped watching ER years ago! Hopefully, it's just a sweeps stunt and not the direction that the show is heading on a regular basis. Most of the storylines were just hard to watch. (Obviously, I could never work in trauma.)

Could it have been any better telegraphed that Meredith's "Knight in shining whatever" will be her rescuer? I really hope that George can find the little boy alive, but I too, thought that his demeanor indicated that he didn't make it.

I'll watch parts 2 & 3, but I do hope this isn't just the beginning of what GA will become.

Sorry to anyone who feels that I spoiled last nights episode by mentioning what I thought might happen! I swear to you all, on the hotness of whichever is your McWhatever - that I did not look at the spoiler websites before I posted about what I thought would happen... I seriously thought that the ferry boat was kind of the BIG thing in Seattle that could have something major (like a fire or a crash) happen at it!

I too liked last nights episode. The Chief is pretty funny and I like how Addison teamed-up with him! (Anyone think she might be using that a little so he'll appoint her as the next Chief of Surgery???)

Karev more appealing to me every week... He's gotta go into OB/GYN - it's his calling!

Mere falling in the water was just a throw back to the "drowning in the tub" part - I'm SURE McDreamy will save her, just like he told her!

The happy couples seem to be falling apart already - we all kind of questioned how long the happiness would last though!

I dont' know who mentioned it--but if it was you it just seemed like you "knew knew" as opposed to "suspected knew". So I thought that it was a spoiler as opposed to a theory.

If it's a teaser or a spoiler from a website, the website should be linked. If it's from a GA commercial, I think it's fair game.

True---but the way the cars were..it seems that it they were piled upon one another--so leverage may not be in their favor due to the nature of how the cars are positioned.

What did cross my mind is Meredith feels like she is looking in a mirror b/c the girls expressions are quite similar to Mer's in the flashbacks when she looks incredibly lost with all of her moms crazy behavior from the affair when Mer was little.

And I do think something is up with that little girl. I wasn't thinking ghost though but she's very creepy.

Mom asked if anyone found her son. George said the only child they found (presumably who were separated) was a little girl.
