The Official GLEE thread

If you go back to page 38 of this thread, you will find some eye candy in posts 558 and 559. ;)

On another note, it is good to see that Puck is getting out of juvie and returning in 2 weeks.

Does anyone know the story behind this? Did Mark Saling have some other committment that conflicted with Glee?

Dear Lord in mercyfull heavens.............. I think I need a drink! WOWSIER! I ever realized he was so, well, um, handsome. DAYYYYYYUUUUUUMMMMMMMM!

Huge RHPS fan; saw it at least 50 times back in its day and still have my framed photo of Frankenfurter in my home. Overall, I was disappointed (the exception being Kurt as Riff-Raff) but it was okay, certainly better than the Brittney episode.

And I agree with many, poor storylines this year.

I've not been around this thread much lately, so I guess I missed this...

What happened to Puck? :confused3

And he can sing, dance, and act, too! ;) ;)

Well he sounded pretty good last night. I loved the toucha toucha toucha me with that other teacher. Very nice!

I have a Frank n Furter doll from the 25th anniversary that has the lab coat on top and then the garters under. IT even sings. LOL

I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't get the whole Mr. Shue thing. He's kind of creepy to me...:rolleyes1

Now Puck... :faint: :lovestruc

Cool! But wouldn't these shows have been taped a couple of months ago? :confused3

Maybe he was recording then?

Yeah, it would have been a couple of months ago at least that they were taped. I think they needed a reason to get Sam in Glee Club, since without Puck they were a person short. Not sure why they kept him out of two episodes though. I was soooooooooo happy to see him in the previews, I was suffering from Puck withdrawal. And the mohawk is back too LOL!

I think this is it. They also needed Sam to get some singing time, and they wanted to start the flirtation with Quinn, which would have been more difficult with Puck there. It seems like it was story driven. There were rumors that he angered producers by focusing too much on his band rather than the show, but most of those seem to have died down.

I liked it well enough. I found it funny that they were saying that Rocky Horror was so inappropriate for High Schoolers because I totally associate Rocky Horror with HS. We were all about the play/movie in HS and went to showings etc.

The sanitized lyrics were just goofy but I guess they had to placate the whiners who let their 9 year olds watch Glee.

Rocky was all during my high school years as well (I think we went maybe twice in college--but every month in High School). However, even in my very liberal area it would not have been approved to be performed IN the highschool.

I have a random Glee question that one of you may know the answer to (or may be better at Googling to find out than I am)--I know Chris Colfer really did try to sing Defying Gravity and was not allowed to and that his gandmother, a minister, had him sing it at church (and this is where the idea for that storyline came from). Does anyone know what denomination she is in? I was thinking about it with the Grilled Cheesus episode and just wondering.

I totally agree! I do not find him attractive at all. He has creepy facial expressions.

:lmao: Same here with the high school thing. And, in my area, it wasn't for the "outcasts" as Mr. Shue was saying. Everybody went. It also kind of cracked me up that he was talking about how he remembered when Rocky was first shown in theaters. Really? Didn't he supposedly graduate in the 90's? Maybe I misunderstood what he was saying but his timeline didn't seem to work.

I found the sanitized lyrics extremely amusing. So they could say transvestite but not transexual? And the changes to Touch Me were pretty hilarious.

I am bewildered as to why folks find this remarkable.

Still scratching my head about replacing "heavy petting" with "heavy sweating?" :confused3

By the late 80s it was the outcasts going where I lived (sometimes the "in" crowd showed up to throw things at people on the way into the theatre though--it tended to be broken up pretty quickly).

Alternatives:

heavy betting
heavy fretting
heavy getting
heavy jetting
heavy letting
heavy netting
heavy setting
heavy treading
heavy vetting

I think they did okay. :)
